Sir , need your guidance on how can I change my bank in the same city for pension . I want to shift from union bank to PNB. Please guide me. 🙏🙏🙏

To change your bank for receiving your Army pension, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Prepare Required Documents
• Pension Payment Order (PPO)
• Bank Account Details: Provide details of the new bank account, including the account number and branch IFSC code.
• Identity Proof: Valid ID like Aadhaar, PAN, or a service ID card.
• Address Proof: Provide updated proof of residence, if applicable.
2. Visit the Current Bank
• Inform Union Bank about your decision to switch. This step might not always be mandatory but can help in ensuring a smooth transfer.
3. Visit the New Bank
• Open a pension account in the new bank if you haven’t already.
• Inform the new bank PNB that it is for Army pension credit.
4. Update your bank account details in SPARSH (‘My Profile’ - 'Manage Profile' link).
5. Don’t close your Union Bank account till you start getting pension in PNB.
