- I figured I'd grind the record down another 5 seconds. I think Circle of Stillness only reliably freezes Kolmi if he runs into it. With that and a fast descent 1:05 or even 1:04 is entirely possible. I could probably manage a 1:07 without much trouble if I removed the 'dark moon is dark sun' flag so the Ominous biome modifier of Snowy Depths wouldn't screw me over and took a safer route further to the right [EDIT: probably not, I got really good RNG on the boss kill] but I'll give the other runners a chance to learn the seed first.

I used to speedrun the game but I do slow runs now, think I got it down to 7 minutes

Dang, I didn't realize we were so close to the 1m mark. What do you think it'll take to push a sub 1 min run?
I think this seed can get down to 1:05, perhaps 1:04 with all the micro optimizations I've seen but because the fall speed from the first HM to the boss is fixed, the time saves to cut the length of the run down would have to be in the mines and the boss kill which would need a better seed. An acid flask is probably the ideal boss killer to save over a second and there's a fair bit of time to save with better mines generation so I'm sure there's a seed out there that can do it but It'll probably take some time to find it.
This seed has something like 16s-ish up to the first portal, so the mine should be done about under 10s

How long it take to find this seed? Very nice
like 2 hours of searching on noitool once I came up with the idea and another hour or so of manually reviewing the seeds to see if the perk lottery and always cast spell lined up properly.
I found 3 seeds in total with the right perks but the first 2 weren't good enough to beat the record on the previous seed I discovered because of a bad start but the 3rd one was.
now THIS is a speed run
do you have any idea how bad this is making me feel? i have 300+ hours in this game and still haven't even made a heavy shot boucing burst

Wow, great find and execution! I guess you could still shave of a second or two with better luck for the angry ghost black holes. I think this seed and strat will now be exclusively used in seeded teleportless category as I can barely imagine faster strats, maybe similar seed but with acid flask on the way and throwing the flask with perfect angle without slowing down on the way to the sampo so that kolmi dies the frame the fight starts, but still it'd be only a fraction of a second faster.

@@sawik5 yeah, I'm sure up to maybe 5 seconds could be shaved off with a flawless descent which is insanely difficult but the boss freeze was apparently RNG so my kill was almost perfect. I've got some insane ideas to potentially bring the run down past the 1 minute barrier but I'm going to leave this one here for a while.
Lmao throwing the acid flask from several floors above and then making ot to kolmi and starting the fight at the exact moment the flask breaks on his head would be the goat of all goats ever accomplished in a video game

Перк призрака копирует ближайшие заклинания, как я заметил они вылетают всегда на одной скорости, поэтому быстрая

How is this boy shoting wormholes?!? Is this the first random spell it chose, or did you made it shoot wormhole somehow?
He picked up Perk Lottery which allowed him to pick up the other two perks there, one of which was the perk that adds an always cast to a wand. I assume it added black hole to the starting bomb wand.
The third perk he got was Angry ghost which duplicates projectiles, so as long as he was moving fast enough that it couldn't latch onto anything else, it would continually fire black holes as well. The ghost was shooting most of the black holes, which is why they start from behind him, since the ghost can't keep up with the falling speed.

@@tapurate638 I believe he got it here 00:27, if you look at the last perk he has, you'll see that he got the Always cast perk, which has chances of giving you Always cast black hole.
What I'm not sure is whether he got the 3 perks somehow, or if he grabbed the 2 random perks perk, and got exactly the other 2 that where there

@@tapurate638 The angry ghost perk copies spells and fires them at the same time you cast a spell, so he used black hole, the ghost copied it and it doesn't have a limited amount
@@TheChoosenOne- he grabbed perk lottery allowing a 50% chance of the perks not dissapearing, and on this seed they don't dissapear, then grabs always cast on starter wand, which is a black hole because of the seed and then grabs angry ghost, the angry ghost copys the black hole and by spamming the second wand fast black holes can be shot
