    i wonder if the UK government will be having daily briefings about the number of pensioners who have died due to the recent cold weather, will the BBC have a counter at the bottom of the TV screen with the daily number of dead and those in intensive care etc..

    Imagine the cost of having those radiators on full whack, in the thousands of hotels up and down the country full of criminals !?! I bet that's costing the taxpayers millions and destroying the planet.

      Maybe you should complain to the energy companies for their record breaking profits and the government for letting them get at away with it. Punch up not down.

    There is literally a guy here on RUclips that goes out survival camping in -20 C temperatures in Alaska for a living. I'm sure the UK can survive.

      In Scotland - 15 is very common, its only when cold temps hit the South that you see it on the News.

    It's to be expected, its winter, yet let us think about those who can't afford to have their heating on. Plummeting temperatures is not easy to deal with if you are frail or old. I'll leave it there then, shall I?

      If I was homeless I’d make it look like I’ve just got off the Dinghy with all the other young men. At least they’d give you a hotel and food.

      In reality, you won't save a penny as the Planet heats up because if you use less Electricity then the Price per KW/h will go up to compensate.

    There seems to be no evidence of this on the Met Office forecast for Thursday. They just make this stuff up to get clicks.

    It’s Global warming I tell you! (Sarcasm). When I was a child in 1963 I think it was, that winter just went on and on and on and deep snow often . But guess what? Everyone kept calm and carried on. We still went to school ….in wellies, and everyone still worked, buses ran as best they could…sometimes impossible so people walked. It’s just weather.

    • @TooSlowTube
      @TooSlowTube 6 дней назад

      Warming refers to the average, not the weather on any particular day or in any particular place, but that kind of statement is why it's now called "climate change". If we lose the gulf stream because of it, it will actually get colder here.

    It's called "Winter". As one who can (just) remember 1963, grow up. As for the Government, just pay the pensioners their Winter Allowance or accept that you will lose the next election. (and the one after it, and the one after it, and the one after that)

  • @cheddercharles7815
    @cheddercharles7815 7 дней назад +1

    We need higher taxes to help prevent climate change. May our gracious leader allocate more money to this, and also Ukraine. It seems not only we have global warming but now global cooling is an issue.

      Life hack for you. I find this very useful in day-to-day situations. If someone says a date that hasn't already passed, I can safely assume that it's the most recent date that has already passed. This actually works for days of the week too. For example, if someone tells me that they had a lovely meal at their favourite restaurant on Friday, I don't exclaim "strange how today is Wednesday.....!!!", but instead I assume they are talking about last Friday. Let me know if I can be of any further help.
