Oh, sociopaths do know empathy. But it's COLD empathy. They know exactly what empathy is supposed to look like, and sound like, they know when it's expected, and they'll FAKE it whenever necessary. They can pull out what they've seen played out in the past, like a clip from a movie, and copy it with no actual feeling. They can cry actual tears (if they remember something sad they can cry for themselves, but not for you). Horrible creatures. When I saw this show for the first time, I felt a mixture of emotions. I’ve read updates where Sarah received 18 months in prison and has to pay restitution, and that’s great and all, but WHY hasn’t she been prosecuted for S.A. For making that camp counselor help her shower and assist with her feminine hygiene? I really hope she does face charges for that. The poor counselor was obviously disturbed and Sarah’s conduct was completely inappropriate!!! She should face SA charges and should have to register as a SO and face all other related consequences upon her release from prison. 18 months isn’t going to change someone like this. She’s a sociopath. But making her a registered SO and also making her pay for what she did to that counselor will make her life just a little less comfortable when she gets out and make it much more difficult for her to ever be able to victimize anyone else in the future!

Sometimes looking for remorse, an apology or even acknowledgement from someone who is emotionless/without fellow feeling is like looking for a needle in a haystack. As a real advanced breast cancer survivor oeople like this disgust me. I hope karna visits them. Cancer is horrible and i cannot hurting people that helped my children abd I while I battled cancer. They helped us survive and I cannot thank them enough.

No I wouldn't say psychopath. I would say an extreme case of borderline personality disorder. My mom had it but not nearly as bad as this woman!

I have had family members pass from cancer.....People who fake this are some of the worst people put there.
I couldn't imagine being in her position where everything in her life is a lie that she doesn't really know who the real her is. People like her are, in my opinion, one of the scariest to be around. What a terrible person she is.
She never was taught empathy. I believe I read somewhere that parents are to teach children empathy that it’s something that’s learned.
@@Rontlc3317 you can model empathetic behaviors but a sociopath or psychopath has differences in their brain. You cannot simply teach them empathy (some might be able to fake empathy though)

I’ve read updates where Sarah received 18 months in prison and has to pay restitution, and that’s great and all, but WHY hasn’t she been prosecuted for S.A. For making that camp counselor help her shower and assist with her feminine hygiene? I really hope she does face charges for that. The poor counselor was obviously disturbed and Sarah’s conduct was completely inappropriate!!! She should face SA charges and should have to register as a SO and face all other related consequences upon her release from prison. 18 months isn’t going to change someone like this. She’s a sociopath. But making her a registered SO and also making her pay for what she did to that counselor will make her life just a little less comfortable when she gets out and make it much more difficult for her to ever be able to victimize anyone else in the future!

His dx is spot on. My son is exactly like her and zero empathy and is a compulsive liar. So sad that they can’t feel for their victims or change their narrative. It will be a life of loneliness and lies constantly

Sometimes looking for remorse, an apology or even acknowledgement from someone who is emotionless/without fellow feeling is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Seriously, you cannot expect what isn't there. My experience has led me to the conclusion that at times you have to move on without any expectation the person will change, otherwise it's like letting them use and abuse you all over again.
Presenting yourself at a camp for disabled people is fraud and stealing. In addition joining a support group for women with cancer and receiving gifts. Woman is a scammer. This isn't just some women telling white lies.
It is outrageous for anyone to ever lie about having cancer! Every Survivor in America is outraged to see anyone doing this!!! She is a liar and we are true survivors who have had to live this truth!

When Dr Phil calls someone something ending in path, you know it’s bad. This woman went on and on with her lies and fibs even though she knew it would catch up with her yet she still shows it on this episode. No remorse, not a care in the damn world, doesn’t care about the fact people are shunning get. All she cares about is herself and what she wants.
Absolutely Dr Phil she had no remorse for what she did to that family. Sociopath people show no remorse for what they do and often pretend they sorry and do anything that they can do to makeup with people because they behavior. She apologizing to that family because her lies got caught up with her and her games of trouble is over. She totally took advantage of that family kindness for her personally gain just so she can get something out of it. She very sick in the head. As a real advanced breast cancer survivor oeople like this disgust me. I hope karna visits them. Cancer is horrible and i cannot hurting people that helped my children abd I while I battled cancer. They helped us survive and I cannot thank them enough.
