- The Iranian defence ministry says it has foiled a drone attack on a military facility in the city of Isfahan, with one drone destroyed by air defence systems two were caught by "defence traps".
The devices caused minor damage to a building but there were no casualties, the ministry added.
The extent of damage to the site has not been confirmed by the BBC, and there has been no immediate claim of responsibility.

In recent years there have been at least a handful of high-ranking US military commanders which in some form or fashion have sounded the alarm over a “coming war with China”… with the latest warning being the most unusual, issued in the form of a memo by an active four-star general and circulated with an official order.
This case is particularly significant given he took the rare step of passing it down through military command and to the chief officers he oversees, giving a greater urgency to the warning:

The broadcaster’s final absurd claim, before they closed comments on the story entirely, was to assert that hiding the true background of the terrorist was “not censorship, but preservation of democracy,” a phrase which sounds like it was lifted directly from George Orwell’s 1984.
Striking a similar tone, regional interior minister Sabine Sütterlin-Waack demanded that “no room should be given to assumptions and speculations that are currently being circulated” on social media.
“This is not the first time the German establishment media has been taken to task over omitting facts from reportage some consider important context for helping the public build an informed opinion on the events of the day,” writes Oliver JJ Lane.
“Public broadcaster Tagesschau was criticised after their coverage of New Year’s Eve riots this year omitted the overwhelmingly migrant character of those known to be involved.”
Lane points out that top German news outlets also refused to report on the infamous mass molestation of women by migrant men in Cologne on New Year’s Eve 2015 until it became an international scandal.
As we previously highlighted, German media outlets responded to violent riots in Sweden last year mainly involving Muslim migrants by falsely claiming the unrest occurred as a result of “right-wing demos.”

Very interesting to say the least really. That was also clearly a very big drone that impacted the roof, based on the debris, at least from one of the other drones shut down. Those are very big prop motors, so clearly someone had a lot of money to get it. Honestly though it could have been anyone who flew the drones at the facility, and we most likely won’t ever find out, but we can still speculate. Just wish it’d been successful.
I'm also of the opinion that an other country is likely behind the attack because, as you point out, those were expensive drones.

Various reports have counted some 50,000 service members and nearly 500 planes total under Gen. Minihan’s command.

As for why he thinks China will invade Taiwan within the next two years, NBC described the following:
Minihan said in the memo that because both Taiwan and the U.S. will have presidential elections in 2024, the U.S. will be “distracted,” and Chinese President Xi Jinping will have an opportunity to move on Taiwan.

The concept being proposed by Ellwood is modeled on a microchip factory opened by Taiwan, which fears a Chinese invasion could cut it off from the West. He argued Ukraine should be helped to do the same so “they can procure their own equipment to their own specification, probably NATO standard, and have a constantly protected supply chain.”
Talks have already opened with Poland over hosting such a facility, and Ellwood proposed that Britain should take a leading role among Western governments to ensure any project is successful.
It is thought Ukraine would be able to use the factory to produce the German-licensed Leopard II tank.
The move could also significantly ease pressure on Western arms companies struggling to keep up with the demand of the war in Ukraine, and the need to replenish stocks among NATO’s allies.

@@maliknusrat4387 This is what I love perspective. Yes, I think it is wrong for Iran to be attacked. I couldn't tell you specifically why they are being targeted. Using terms such as injustice can be a blanket statement though. There are so many different viewpoints that the word has many different meanings to those people. To Iran and many others in the region, it is injustice and to Israel and America, this could be justice. It's best to try and find the actual problem that is at hand instead of playing the blame game. Why would America and Israel want to target Iran? Why would they target Iran's General just a few years ago? It's a political soup that has been built upon for hundreds of years that none of us can unravel. The only thing we can do is lessen the tension between the cultures and work together like the human beings we are.
I wish someone would target the USA to see how they like it!

“I think that’s an important message for the Russians, that our posture has changed, to show them that we are ready if they would have an idea to come to NATO.”

If I've learned anything it's that modern military "kamikaze" drones do not have a large payload. Take a look at the switchblade 300 or Lancet drone. They don't have a large payload but they've traded that off with accuracy. These drones have an incredibly small CEP. Meaning they typically hit.
