Let me know if you liked this kind of adventure video. It was a ton of fun to make and I would love to keep doing it. Next time though, probably won't be on single track 😂
Do what you enjoy Spite. It makes for good videos if you're enjoying yourself, even moreso if it's in a group who are enjoying themselves on a ride. Hope you're not too banged up
I did some quick googling and turns out Josh is no longer at YN and has another job now, good to see he's still getting out there and having fun with bikes though, and hopefully we see more of him here!
Hope your elbow heals quickly. Don’t feel embarrassed by your accident or the way you rode. Being out there and making memories is what it’s all about. Thanks for a great video!

Spite, the audio quality here sounds fantastic, don't know what you've tweaked on the back end but really makes for an improved and immersive experience. Nailed it.
I've watched YN from my old account since before Spite came on board, but I never actually subscribed. After learning Spite was the editor, and the shitstorm that was his departure, you get an a official sub. Thank you so much for the excellent content - I love your style and will use it for inspiration for my new channel. Keep it up!!
Dang, for real? Is Yammie just firing everyone now or what happened? Edit: I missed the part where Spite said "Josh and the guys at GForce," so I'm guessing he just found better work.
As a lifelong road rider I'm surprisingly entertained by these videos. In fact, after watching a fair few of your videos with off road content you've inspired me to start a scrambler build so that I can dip my toe in to dirt road riding & see what all the fuss is about.
If you live anywhere there is a real motocross track just go and try it out and see how much faster the young kids are than you and you’ll appreciate how gnarly they are and how much skill and courage it takes to ride dirt at a high level. It’s absolutely the best way to learn bike skill.

This was a good video and you/the team did a nice job salvaging what you planned on recording (an entire ride) and turning it into what you were able to get. I hope the injury isn’t too bad and it drove home the point for me that if you’re spent mentally or physically the smart thing to do is change the ride. No point pushing on and getting hurt worse right? You mentioned bringing the KLR out there. I saw some technical rock work I can’t imagine an ADV bike could do! If they can make the vid please.
Love it! I so much appreciate that the three of you hang out more now than with your previous employer. So much more fun and real feeling. I'm going to look up highway 128 the next time I'm in that area.
Awesome video man. Definitely enjoy the content and good to see Josh doing so well. No shame in binning it. The only shame would be pretending you didn't. Too many RUclipsrs pretend they are super heroes.
That sucks that you got injured, next year after a little more practice in the dirt, maybe you can take that ride again. Either way great content and i think is cool showing the reality of offroading and other adventures!
NOTHING wrong with slowing down and taking it in. I was in SD awhile back and got stuck behind a 300 (while on a 1250 GSA) and I loved it. While I could have passed the dude on any corner, I let him slow me down. I would not trade those slow canyon runs for a speed run, ever. Hitting a corner the apex of corner right is exhilarating, seeing the world in all its beauty, priceless.
I'm with you switching cheeks. I rode 75 Yamaha XS650 to ride PCH in 77 and I have never ridden on any bike, including my Harleys that vibrated that much, but I was much younger.
This is why you always cover the clutch on single track! Also grip lower, it should feel a bit awkward to go full throttle... then if you get jerked backward, it will kill the engine instead of your shoulder. Rest up!
He is lucky he had someone like Josh with him. It also wouldn't hurt to carry at least a liter or so of gas in a spare container when you are out in the boons.
I had a similar injury riding (albeit a bmx/jumps). Fractured the upper radius in BOTH my L/H and R/H bi-laterals at the elbow. Didn’t need casts, just time, rest and not lifting anything. Great video, Spite and Josh!
Great job, thank you Spite & Josh. Sorry you got hurt Spite. When I was young like Josh I was a fast technical rider that liked jumping. Now I'm old grey & slow with permanent injuries. Nothing quite like riding in Utah with buddies through some of the most scenic areas that nature has to offer. You're rockin' it Spite. Spite, see if you can find an enduro school, like the track school you and Josh went to, only enduro riding instead. Or just some good ol' MX school. It might come in handy when you're out and about off the tarmac.
This was an absolutely incredible experience to have. Thank you for showing it to us, it was beautiful, I loved it. Sorry you got beat up, that always puts a damper on things, but that last day, ridin' slow through that canyon. Beautiful.
I have ALWAYS wanted to go on a big trail trip like this! Honestly this was my dream plan and why I bought my 2022 KTM SMCR but I have yet to even take it off road except for some gravel/light dirt roads! I really wanna go this coming year and get some dirt time in!

As mean spirited as this may sound, I’m glad you got dropped by Yammie. You had made some comments a while back about how his channel was sort of pigeonholed into sportbike stuff and you didn’t do trail and dirt videos because they didn’t work well over there, but now you’re on your own living your best life and making memories over here, and it’s working out for you it looks like. That was a narly spill, but I’m glad you’re ok. I eventually want to get either a dual sport or an actual dirt bike to toy around with. That looks like fun (minus the spill.)
Even with the spill it was fun. I wish I had been able to get through more of day 1. Probably still would've skipped day 2 though lol. That was hardcore
Spite, I love this stuff. The 2 track firelanes through the woods in Michigan is where I learned to really handle a motorcycle. If I thought I still could do it without killing myself I would. Sorry you missed out on some good riding but a sore elbow is way better than broken bones.
Well Spite I’m glad you’re okay. That’s just bad luck. Looked like you hit a little jump and landed in sand. Oh, and if that’s a 6/10 ride, then I’m a 3/10 rider.
Unfortunate you got hurt, hope you get well soon. probably a good idea to get that checked. enjoyed the canyon road at the end. it looked like a special place
Man that’s crazy. Hope your arm is feeling better. I did a Beta demo ride on 7 different models yesterday. I don’t sit much at all and boy my butt is feeling it. I can only imagine what you felt. Other guys out there who own Husky bikes said that there isn’t much difference. I normally ride a KX250F and CRF450R and the stock seats feel like a couch compared to the Beta seats.
Great video. Nice to see the collaboration with Josh too. I started out one an 80cc 2-stroke mini trail bike and then onto street bikes. I used to do some single track on my buddies Honda XL350. I always rode better on the street after a weekend on the trails and I never rode the trails without at least one good crash. My fault. Always my fault.
I'm a daily guy. This time of year, liners (pants and jacket) hippo hands, and 100% coverage many times over. Even on techy dual sport stuff as well as 30- 130mph on the highway lol.
It happens man. I broke my elbow and tore my tricep tendon on my 4 stroke Honda XL125 when I first started riding dirt. Healed up from that, kept at it, and started racing off-road. Now I ride a YZ250 and it's my favorite bike. I still crash sometimes and it's usually a laugh it off kinda thing. Unless I'm in a race lol. I also wear more gear off-road then I ever did on road. Thanks for the upload 🤙
I was going through Denver in August and thieves stole two of my bikes and my trailer....that was real Rocky Mountain high. Have you never had a buddy push you using a rear footpeg if you have one? Pretty easy once you get going on the pavement. I rode highway 128 a couple years ago and it pretty spectacular.
Loved it. Do more please. Hook up with B&Bs, guides, locals, dive deep into week long rides. You've hit the sweet spot my friend. The adventure nitch works for you. Mark, video pro in Ma.
Daaaamn dude, gnarly! Killer vid, just added another place to my list of where to ride. 💯% relate to how you were riding after the biff, that's exactly how I rode home after lowsiding in the rain a couple months back haha.
LOL. Running out of gas sucks. Whenever that happened to my riding group, we'd always swap bikes and put the smallest guy on the empty bike. It worked... most of the time.
It seemed like a bit of whisky throttle on the bounce. It happens, especially on a lightweight high performance machine like that. You would have been just fine on my KLX300, it's probably 50 lbs heavier and quite a lot more forgiving on the throttle, lol. Good on you for having the humility to share this. It takes a man to admit his error. for future reference, when you get beat up like this avoid inflammatory food and drink for a bit. Intake can be the difference between being ok to press forward or calling it quits.
I'm actually going to test ride a dual sport this coming week, been feeling the itch to get in the dirt plus it looks like a D/S would make a solid commuter. Enjoying the content, bummer that you got hurt but glad you're OK.
Thanks for sharing...... about a month ago did the same thing but over the handle bars.....even being my first year I still felt like a jackass!!! High Speed dirt!!!!!
Everyone falls off road, just gotta get back up. I was very upset with myself for this one, but then I kinda got with the flow later on after I broke my gopro lol
Something similar happened to me when we where bike tracking and on the first day i crashed. The rest of the day was terrible and half way the 2nd day i gave up. In my case it was my ankle, nothing brocken but overstretched the muscles and couldn't walk for weeks properly.

You've never been on a dirt bike in the snow with a front ski and rear track! So when?
The only time I ride offroad is when I miss my corner.
Sometimes you find adventure. Sometimes adventure finds you 😬

I was going through Denver in August and thieves stole two of my bikes and my trailer....that was real Rocky Mountain high. Have you never had a buddy push you using a rear footpeg if you have one? Pretty easy once you get going on the pavement.
I rode highway 128 a couple years ago and it pretty spectacular.
as someone who has grown up in the mountains of colorado (Steamboat Springs) this brings me so much joy
Great video dude! Would have been nice if you gave us a tiny rundown of the bike. Like size and tyres but that's okay. Hope you feel better dude
Loved it. Do more please. Hook up with B&Bs, guides, locals, dive deep into week long rides. You've hit the sweet spot my friend. The adventure nitch works for you. Mark, video pro in Ma.
Hope you heal up good and strong, besides seeing you get hurt it was an awesome video, beautiful scenery
Daaaamn dude, gnarly! Killer vid, just added another place to my list of where to ride. 💯% relate to how you were riding after the biff, that's exactly how I rode home after lowsiding in the rain a couple months back haha.
Great to see Josh tagging along to Team Spite for some content! Loving this. Except, you know... the injuries and stuff. Stop doing that, it's silly.
great video Spite! a good mix of "adventure" type vids, in the saddle review vids, discussion vids and tech vids would be a good idea, keep it up!
Crashing is part of the game sometimes, awesome content keep up the good work!
Just want to say your music selection for this video is awesome 😁👍🏻.
Love this video, so many 'adventure' type videos are just a snooze fest. It's nice to mix the great views with laughs and braaps
LOL. Running out of gas sucks. Whenever that happened to my riding group, we'd always swap bikes and put the smallest guy on the empty bike. It worked... most of the time.
Reminds me of Palmdale Barstow Vegas ride. I always carry ibuprofen and a tow rope
D@mn. Sorry about your wing, brother. Dat scenery, though. Wow!
edit: like the bumper music in this one, too.
Thanks, spent a lot of time on the music for this one
@@spitescorner Are any of the guitar tracks you playing?
@@spitescorner you sure did, Moab seemed like a blast...I was down for week ..I was back out the next weekend!! Thanks for listening!!
Makes you feel any better I broke my foot about a month ago. Pretty much bed ridden. And i managed to majorly sprain my other foot
One of my dad's good friends just posted your video on FB. He was on this ride with you.
Talk about a small world.
Yea. This was awesome content.
This is the most "regular dude doing crap" I have seen.
And you came out in one piece... I didnt.
Something similar happened to me when we where bike tracking and on the first day i crashed.
The rest of the day was terrible and half way the 2nd day i gave up.
In my case it was my ankle, nothing brocken but overstretched the muscles and couldn't walk for weeks properly.
Damn dude, I wish I would have known y’all were in Grand Junction! I live about 15 minutes away from that park y’all unloaded at in Fruita
