It'll be a big change for us since I haven't been here since I was 4 and my husband is American and so are our children. Your video is VERY encouraging. Thank you so much!
I discourage you to bring your American husband and children to relocate to the Philippines. Yu Kay those statements are overreach dear. Are you from the Philippines? Coz clearly, you have no idea about what you're saying. -"kids are begging" That's pretty normal in more than 200 countries and territories. No country is an exception to poverty. Every country has underprivileged people. -"women are selling themselves to white old men" Well I agree that there might be isolated cases about that but that will never reflect the entirety of the population. Again, prostitution is common across 200 countries and territories. -"there is a guard with a shot gun at a store" Well, were you educated about the concept of security/ security guards? -"with one of the highest crime rates in the world" I beg your pardon? But maybe you are referring to some latin countries. Philippines' 2020 crime rate rank is 71st in the world. Far lower and more peaceful than Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. Read your facts boo before you read somebody or anything.
Thank you so much Sir featuring our small city and you are helping promoting Cebu. I am very proud Cebuano and once again, thank you and may God bless you.. Stay Safe.
I really like the fact that you are to the point, factual, concise and back up your statements with examples. Excellent information and presentation. Thank you.
Thanks for the mention! It's actually helping our channel. The dealer supplied a driver as part of the sale. 😉 I really think they're going to open up a lot more before Christmas. And possibly after the first of the year open up to international tourists again. Domestically too few have the money to travel right now.
I’ve heard that Cebu would make a great base camp due to the airport and also many boats that can take you to all the different islands cheap. Plus the rent there is very reasonable over near the IT park plenty of condos to rent with a pool and also a gym inside the building plus they are safe and secure so when you leave for a week or more you come back home and all your stuff is still we’re you left it at. Dumagetti is also nice for xpats with plenty to do but you will need a scooter when you live there due to everything is distanced. Where as Cebu is a big city with plenty of public transportation it all depends on your lifestyle and if you plan on retiring in the Philippines
Thanks for the informations regarding monthly costs of living. We visited Cebu several times and i remember it has some very nice spots although i was a child back then. From Switzerland Jeremy
@@LivingOverseasTV I just circled back to this video. We all know what's happened in the meantime and I'm now (finally) in Cebu so interesting to view it again. Great video! I have always wanted to go to Cebu City. Maybe we'll try to visit next time we are back in the Philippines. I understand it's easy to go to a lot of beaches there.
Hmmmmm. Beaches in Cebu. Let's see: On Mactan the best are at the resorts. Plantation Bay. Shangri La. Move pick and Crimson. Plan on $200/night and learn Korean. There are at least 30 more places. If you want really nice beaches then you'll need to head Southeast. Moal Boal (Moe ahl bow ahl) or Badian. Don't go to Bantayan Island! I'm saving that for myself. 😜 Camotes Island is another place.
Still planning to Vietnam or Cebu for my retirement .Will go to buy a affordable condo and live on a budget of 1.5 k usd. I think with condo paid off . 1.5 k usd a month will comfortably .
$600 is very comfortable for a local like me, that is if you dont have a family of your own. You can find a clean area with cheap apartment rents ranging $100-150, this will have 2 rooms or more.

Very impress with this video. I have not lived in the Philippines since 1991, in my days at Clark Air Base, working as US Air Force Security Police. The best thing about the Philippines it is the most unique large English speaking Asian country and Christian too. I am so glad the Philippines is so accommodating for Americans.
If you're staying temporarily, Robinson Summit Galleria is a perfect place to stay because the hotel connects directly to the mall, which has dozens of food options available and a grocery store. Between that and Grab food delivery you barely ever need to leave the hotel/mall complex.
- 90 pesos from Cebu Business Park to IT Park is something i'd be paying if i hail a cab on non-peak hours. It would also help to know all the shortcuts out of IT Park to save money and have better access to shorter/cheaper trips to Cebu Business Park because there are jeepneys (with codes 04L, 13C, 13B, 62B, 62C) that ply that route although they do not directly enter IT Park themselves. There are jeepneys that do enter IT Park (often coded with 17B or 17C or 17D) but do not go to Cebu Business Park but they can serve as layover trips. - Best advice i can give for folks who wish to live in Cebu (as someone who has lived in Cebu myself) is to be prepared for flooding in the rainy season and water shortages during the dry season. Traffic is also bad but not as bad as Manila's and things often stabilize after 8:30 pm. - Know the shortcuts. Not just around IT Park and CBP but all across the city. Know which parts to avoid for safety or hygienic reasons or both. If you're going to the public market in Carbon or in the fish markets in Tabo-an, be extra vigilant. Know every alternative route you need to take in the event flooding renders you stuck. - Living in Cebu is cheaper than Manila but still relatively expensive compared to other cities in the Philippines i have lived in or went to, and with a lot of trade-offs. - Whenever i travel to Cebu for leisure, i don't take the cab all the way to IT Park from the airport. I take the MyBus to SM City from the airport and go straight to IT Park from SM City via cab. It saves me at least PhP 80 that way, depending on the time of the day.
Must have taken a while to film all this. Didn't know there were options that cheap. I can build my income further WHILE reducing expenses. Good info, thanks!
I suggest you go southern part sir, some of the best beaches in the world are there with complete amenities. Moalboal, Oslob, Badian, Argao and Santander.
Hi @Living Overseas TV, thanks for taking the time to make a review about Metro Cebu's Cost of Living. Cebu itself is within the proximity of City Life, Beaches, Mountain Living and center to travel nearby islands/provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao Regions either by Ferry, Ship RORO, Bus and Plane. Keep it up with your vlog it is very informative. request permission to post your vlog, thanks. stay safe. God bless 🙏
In some parts of Cebu you can rent subdivision two storey house for only P7000 -10000.thats about ,,,,,140-200usd only.these are usually available on new subdivisions and is quite close to city establishments.
Been living in IT Park Cebu for a year and it cost us almost 1,500$ a month. And now transferring to south part of cebu and be able to buy own house which cost us more less than what we've spend while living in City. What misses me in the city is a nice restaurant with nice foods like denny's. But i really much prefer living in province, it's really quiet in here and relaxing, away from crowded places.
Same I'm from Tacloban city 4 hours away from Cebu i wanna move to cebu kasi medjo naging expensive na cost of living dito sa Tacloban and marami na din mga taga samar na nagsilipat galing samar and medj ober populated haha
Some sales/tech support like Amazon, Microsoft, Sprint, Facebook, Comcast, Bestbuy, and other small-large companies in the U.S are in cebu business park. Definitely english is not a problem compared to other asian country.
James Regino But you'll still need to translate: Ex: 1. for a while = one moment please 2. Out of stock = I'm not in the mood to help this non-pinoy. 3. I'm taking to the coffee = I'm taking about the coffee. 4. On the TV = TURN the TV on. Prepositions are not used by many.. You don't like my comments? Ahhh. Poor baby. The truth hurts.
Thank you for your video blog. Indeed Cebu is the Queen City of the south. We have a lot of things to offer like nice people, complete access to business and travels. Although we are still in a pandemic. Hope that this will be over soon..
Thanks for a great video. Having been to Cebu I have to say it's a place I could live and feel pretty comfortable. I wonder once things get opened up again how the apartment and condo prices will be affected.
Philippine SemiExpat, Prices are very low right now and I think there will be deals for a while after things open up again. Thee key is to look around and ask around a lot. I have found apartments of the same quality, in the same building priced from $300 - $700 USD.
Very well-done, thank you for creating this. I very much enjoyed my visit to Cebu, but am quick to recall that the heat and humidity I experienced - even while it rained pretty hard - was absolutely stifling. Stepping into it felt like walking into an angry wall of aggressive turkey-roasting-oven air.. APART FROM THAT CEBU was wonderful. I followed Anthony Bourdain's advice and visited his suggested spot for lichen (it was amazing!), and met some really nice locals.
Thank you for your video! Among all the Cost of Living videos of Cebu, yours is the best & most concise, detailed and direct to the point. I am from Cebu, but has been away for over 10 years. As a person born and raised here in Cebu, I know that you can still find much cheaper apartments or condominiums compared on this video, and its very easy to communicate with the people here because we are very approachable, helpful and we can understand and talk english fluently. I am 100% sure that you'll have a great and memorable experience here in Cebu❤

The Philippines is Changing so fast.. Many cities outside metro manila are on its rapid development.
I hope transpo infrastructures could cope up with the rapid urbanization. Metro Cebu should atleast have a skytrains.
Fitting talaga sa Cebu ang monorail. Lowkey urban lang sya. Di masyadong skyscraper city tsaka greener than Manila.
@@Suijiro99 mas maganda siguro kung subway na lang para hindi dumagdag sa pagsikip sa mga maliliit na highway ng cebu...
@@Suijiro99 agree, monorail is slimmer than your usual mrt/lrt trains in metro manila.
Yu Kay those statements are overreach dear. Are you from the Philippines? Coz clearly, you have no idea about what you're saying.
-"kids are begging"
That's pretty normal in more than 200 countries and territories. No country is an exception to poverty. Every country has underprivileged people.
-"women are selling themselves to white old men"
Well I agree that there might be isolated cases about that but that will never reflect the entirety of the population. Again, prostitution is common across 200 countries and territories.
-"there is a guard with a shot gun at a store"
Well, were you educated about the concept of security/ security guards?
-"with one of the highest crime rates in the world"
I beg your pardon? But maybe you are referring to some latin countries. Philippines' 2020 crime rate rank is 71st in the world. Far lower and more peaceful than Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam.
Read your facts boo before you read somebody or anything.
Underrated channel. Thanks for the vid

Thank you so much Sir featuring our small city and you are helping promoting Cebu.
I am very proud Cebuano and once again, thank you and may God bless you.. Stay Safe.
Great video. You gave facts, numbers, and backed by good videos of the areas. I turn off most videos.
I really like the fact that you are to the point, factual, concise and back up your statements with examples. Excellent information and presentation. Thank you.
Brad B, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I'm glad you found the video helpful.
Thanks for the mention! It's actually helping our channel. The dealer supplied a driver as part of the sale. 😉
I really think they're going to open up a lot more before Christmas. And possibly after the first of the year open up to international tourists again. Domestically too few have the money to travel right now.
Next destination several months after this pandemic (hopefully, next year)... CEBU!!!
Nice overview, thanks - I hope to visit Cebu later this year.
brokerbasil, Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy Cebu when you visit.
@@LivingOverseasTV I just circled back to this video. We all know what's happened in the meantime and I'm now (finally) in Cebu so interesting to view it again. I also just spent 5 months in Thailand so comparing the two countries as potential retirement locations ... an ongoing project but Cebu is definitely growing on me and I will return in 6+ months to take another more comprehensive look.

Great video! I have always wanted to go to Cebu City. Maybe we'll try to visit next time we are back in the Philippines. I understand it's easy to go to a lot of beaches there.
Go for it! I think you will like Cebu.
Hmmmmm. Beaches in Cebu. Let's see:
On Mactan the best are at the resorts.
Camotes Island is another place.
All foreigners come to to Cebu Phillippines🙏🙏my country ! ur welcome her...🤗😍🇵🇭🏝
John Stockers, Thanks for your warm welcome!
John Stockers Can't lose that word, can you.. what word? Foreigner. Gesus!!
Thank you John- I personally love the warmth and friendliness of Pinoy people.
Still planning to Vietnam or Cebu for my retirement .Will go to buy a affordable condo and live on a budget of 1.5 k usd. I think with condo paid off . 1.5 k usd a month will comfortably .
Wala ka nabuang! Mamaligyaay tingali ka og mga bata!!!!
$600 is very comfortable for a local like me, that is if you dont have a family of your own. You can find a clean area with cheap apartment rents ranging $100-150, this will have 2 rooms or more.
Shem Rafael Sasil Andong, Thanks for watching and taking the time to share your information.

Just got home from IT park doing some errands. love the video and thanks for showing to the other people.
Great info thankyou ! Cebu island is amazing #1
I have to rate this vlog 10star. Thanks for sharing IT PARK mate will it’s my workplace. Anyway more videos please, Stay safe👍
Nice video. Thanks. Inform me about your next video. Cebu is a very beautiful place to retire and to live.
Thank you for all the great useful information I would like to travel there if this pandemic thing goes away👍
If you're staying temporarily, Robinson Summit Galleria is a perfect place to stay because the hotel connects directly to the mall, which has dozens of food options available and a grocery store. Between that and Grab food delivery you barely ever need to leave the hotel/mall complex.
Short and informative! Perfect! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for great info. Very clear and thorough. All the best, Tom.
Tom, Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
Thanks for sharing, I'm trying to get to Philippines early 2021. Im hoping to check out cebu area
Must have taken a while to film all this. Didn't know there were options that cheap. I can build my income further WHILE reducing expenses. Good info, thanks!
David, Glad it was helpful!
Great Video, I would love to retire in Cebu city, it’s an awesome place indeed hmmm.
Keep it up with your vlog it is very informative. request permission to post your vlog, thanks. stay safe. God bless 🙏
armand morales, Thank you. Feel free to share and repost the vlog.
Thank you it’s very helpful I’m thinking about going to Cebu sometime. Keep up the good work
joy novack, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I think you will like Cebu.
Spent a few months on Mactan Island across the bridge from Cebu, would love to make it more permanent
Most places, streets and shops looked very clean. Well maintained.
In some parts of Cebu you can rent subdivision two storey house for only P7000 -10000.thats about ,,,,,140-200usd only.these are usually available on new subdivisions and is quite close to city establishments.

As a local in Cebu, I approve of this video 😁
You make some very informative videos I’m just waiting on virus to end to come live there forever
Stan Webster, Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Let's hope everything opens up soon.
U r phony avatar person like few others here right!
People really need to remember to give you 👍.
Sometimes I forget because you keep me spellbound.
Joe R, Thanks !!!

Some sales/tech support like Amazon, Microsoft, Sprint, Facebook, Comcast, Bestbuy, and other small-large companies in the U.S are in cebu business park. Definitely english is not a problem compared to other asian country.
James Regino But you'll still need to translate:
Ex:
1. for a while = one moment please
@@JetEarlewood you nailed it! I've seen worst but still better compared to non native english speaking country.
i missed my former workplace in Cebu Business Park. good memories.. nice vid
Thank you for your video blog. Indeed Cebu is the Queen City of the south. We have a lot of things to offer like nice people, complete access to business and travels. Although we are still in a pandemic. Hope that this will be over soon..
This channel deserves more subs!
Yea I have been getting paid with Bit-trions.com, I'm making over $5000 USD a week
Great job - yes Cebu City is a great option 👍🏻
The energy that you bring to your content is impressive. I most definitely will go back and look at some of your previous work.

Huge thanks Jim, for taking the time to put this video together.
Very detailed! Love Cebu!
The Rammer, Thanks for watching!
Your videos show the city really well and you provide information very concisely
Hi new subscriber ☺️ proud cebuana here ☺️ keep safe everyone 🙏
Thank you for your video! Among all the Cost of Living videos of Cebu, yours is the best & most concise, detailed and direct to the point. I am from Cebu, but has been away for over 10 years. I am amazed on how the city has grown & how the prices have gone up too, although still affordable. Kudos to your video quality as well!
