I honestly think your brain isn't in YT'er mode, it's in business man mode, and that can be the right decision for you. But if you combine your thinking, $2k isn't bad when you also get content from it making up some extra income, with the views you get and extra income you can potentially create on these video with merch etc too, I honestly believe almost any project is worth you taking on with the current state of your channel.
Don't get me wrong, I think about this with every purchase, just trying to be a bit more selective on which projects I'm going to be taking on. I do have my eyes on some newer sportbikes to rebuild on the channel

Good decision, but there was also a good potential of selling it for a good profit, since Yamaha discontinued it for the street and now only sells a track version.

I knew at the time buying it I could at least get my money back out of it if not more if i needed to sell it quick, I try to do this with any bike I buy in case things don't work out or I go a different route
Brave decision for £3k.. I restore 90s sport bikes, and parts for them are A. Rare, & B. Expensive!

The right decision, man. That’s one where you either sell it on, or bust it up for parts and sell them. That’s an awful lot of time and money for just a little bit of profit.

I own a CFMOTO 300sr and recently just had an accident. The bike's condition is almost similar to mine and I'm looking to have it fixed very soon. I look forward to see this R6 restored.

Good decision. It would make a nice project bike for someone, but for a business, you want to make a profit, and you would've taken a hit on this one.

I am surprised you brought that bike for $3k and able to sell it for more. It would be great if you show your viewer best practices of buying a wreck bikes. Like things to look for before buying it, going into it having a list of parts prices, and how much time it is going to take to rebuild it.
There are a ton of factors that can play into the estimation of parts and a lot of it is experience being able to know quickly what parts are usually priced at. At the end of the day even I can miss things when checking over a bike and one simple miss could be a very expensive mistake
3k is to much for that bike in my opinion
