2023 BYD Song Pro DM-i Champion Edition in-depth Walkaround
The 2023 BYD Song Pro DM-i Champion Edition has been introduced in China, featuring BYD's renowned plug-in hybrid powertrain and an electric range of up to 110 km. With a starting price of 135,800 RMB (19,190 USD), the new Song Pro is now available at a lower cost, being 6,000 RMB (850 USD) cheaper than its predecessor.
As for the interior of the 2023 Song Pro DM-i, most of its design remains unchanged. Notably, there is a floating screen that offers the flexibility to rotate between portrait and landscape orientations. The center tunnel incorporates a retractable gear shifter, while the steering wheel features three spokes and a flat bottom. Even the entry-level variant of the Song Pro DM-i comes equipped with several features, such as a panoramic sunroof, electric adjustment for the driver's seat, dual-zone climate control, DiLink 4.0 system, NFC key, and more.
Under the hood, the Song Pro DM-i Champion Edition relies on a 1.5L engine generating a maximum power of 81 kW and a maximum torque of 135 Nm. Additionally, it is equipped with an electric motor capable of delivering a maximum power of 145 kW and a maximum torque of 325 Nm.
