Soulful lead guitar in the verses. I love the picking as well. Drums are calming in the verses and the lyrics and singing is wonderful. I remember listening to this in my early Christian days. Good memories. You've gotten me through so much Jesus. If it weren't for love.
Pretty sure I heard and loved it when I bought the CD single of their first release “Hanging By a Moment”… in 2023 I have finally found it on here without it cutting off towards the end of the song and I’ve been checking for it non stop for decades now!!! This song couldn’t hit me in the heart and express feelings I’m surviving somehow, any more if it tried. They were great live in Melbourne, Australia (I’m guessing 2002?) at the M1 festival… but this song… just wow! And fyi - I listen to some random s#^%, mostly hard rock and heavy metal - megadeth is my all time favourite band!! 🤷🏼♀️🤘🏻💜

Yeah I know they are Christians but they are labeled as an american rock/alternative band... there was even an interview where Jason said he didn't want Lifehouse to be known as a Christian band. Most people just listen to like 1 or 2 of their songs and say their a christian band based on what they think that 1 song is about. I have been a HUGE Lifehouse fan ever since their first album came out and know pretty much every one of their songs. :)
