In fact, it is virtually impossible to detect the difference of the texture on lip between the Dior and the e.l.f. when applied side by side. The major reason to keep going back for the viral Dior lie oil comes downto the t Dior soft tint the base leaves that is amplified with each layer and use. For reference, the Dior lip oil shade is cherry, and the elf lip oil is pink quartz. So what do you think? Which one will you buy? The $40 dior lip oil with its staining effect or the $8 e.l.f. Cosmetics lip oil with a gloss meets oil shiny base, an effect which is also shared with the dior. The choice is yours...
For me, it's no contest... I'll buy the Elf because I don't think any lip oil is worth $40. I might think differently if I had unlimited funds but with my very limited funds; this is my choice. I can always put a color on before or after it, if I really want a little color on my lips.

I bought them and returned them after trying them on in the parking lot 😭 I was so bummed because you can't beat $8. It just smelled super chemically, wasn't hydrating at all, and made my lips tingle but not in a good way
@@krazykittymattuhh you might have been allergic to something in the ingredients then bc they are noooot meant to tingle at all. i have elf lip oils and they smell amazing and are super soft and buttery and make my lips feel great

I bought several shades of Elf Lip Oil and I absolutely love it! I have been using Dior one for a while, which is one of my favorites. They’re feel very similar on the lips.
There is more pigmented shades of the Elf lip oil if your worried about pigment. Hope this helps 😊
The Dior one was my holy grail, but I will have to try the Elf! Honestly it wasn't the color that I loved, but the texture.

I agree with you on the texture. Both are not necessarily hydrating. I actually prefer the e.l.f. having the absence of Red Dye 40. IYKYK. Have you, or can you do a comparison for what the Victorias Secret lip mask in the purple tube is supposed to be a dupe for? I love it so much 😍 The texture and longevity is above par. I’ve yet to find something that I prefer over it. Thank you doll! 😘

I actually love the elf glow reviver lip oil in the shade "red delicious"... It's the most gorgeous pop of colour on all skin tones. you can wear it with or without lip liner. Personally, as someone who is scared to wear red lipstick, I finally found a way that red works on me. And it's only $8.
