I've been able to connect with people who've died since I can remember. I thought everyone saw spirits of deceased and could communicate with them. I stopped talking about it pretty early on because it was so frowned upon and people looked at me like I had 2 heads. For me, its kind of like answering a phone. Sometimes the message is crystal clear. I get names and how they died, things that were important to them, things that only people who knew them well would know and when I pass the message along, it's very helpful, comforting and meaningful. Other times it's very garbled, it doesn't come through very clear. On a few occasions, I've helped people who have died cross over. I accompanied my mom and my dad when they died. There is always a barrier I can't pass. I had 2 NDE's and was shown that I agreed to this life and part of the agreement was helping out in this way. I was to help out quietly, in the background, almost invisible.

Something is going wrong with them. For there is a realm beyond this, where demons live mostly, and they shouldn't be there. It is odd, you communicate with them, but not with demons. Maybe you don't have a weak or entry point.

He reminds us that we all know what he knows deep down even if we don't realize it yet, and he is transparent, confident, yet humble. Exactly. He doesn't glorify spiritual experiences and powers. He and his videos emphasise on what's more imp. Doing inner work and being a good and perfect person. You can have all the powers and yet be very far from attaining perfection. Pls GOD, protect us from these distractions. In my opinion there are people who genuinely believe they communicating with something beyond others consciousness and those who are fully aware of the power they can gain over others by claiming to be able to communicate with something beyond others consciousness. In my opinion those who offer the gift they genuinely believe they have totally free of any charge whatsoever are genuinely misguided,, and all who do or attempt to make a living by claiming to have a gift are immoral and to be avoided like those who would sell you eternal youth and plots of land in heaven. I personally don't like people cashing in other people's grief, heartbreak, fears, anxieties and feelings,,its not nice to do that to other people and its immoral to it for personal gain via money and power. ☹️☹️☹️☹️
I love this old guy with the German accent. Being a serious seeker as you say, for many years, puts you oftentimes among some unbelievably credulous people . A woman I knew spent 35k on what amounted to a small computer, some wires and sensors that hook up to your body, that was supposed to read your soul in various ways. Tried to tactfully talk her out of it, without success.
I couldn't agree more. After 15 years as a clergywoman, then another 8 studying psychics/channeling, I realized how futile and RARE anyone "got it right" for me. My journey with Spirit is my own. I don’t need to depend on anyone else or entities. My path is my own and I am enough to evolve, enlighten, and enjoy this world. :)
Well said. I fully believe in psychics but I don’t have a need to speak to one because I have no very thing I need already. If I were supposed to know more then the universe would have put a psychic in front of me. So I’m good with what I’ve got :) and when I’m aligned I have a pretty great connection.

apart from the fact that there is no path and nothing to evolve into. It is simply a case of whether or not a person realise the truth, in the same way that a person might suddenly understand the meaning of a joke... There isn't a journey to that understanding, and when it comes, you realise there was never anything to do, nor an individual there to do it.

So true! We are one spirit split into billions of different forms of being experiencing absolute chaos. Service to others is service to self, service to self is also service to others as all is ultimately serving the one. But from the chaos will inevitably come order and balance. When the individual forms of consciousness become aligned and balanced or become “one” or realise the “oneness” (we reach an equilibrium) we can move our collective consciousness into a higher dimensional experience. It’s the cycle of cycles! As above so below.
True, consciousness in many forms, but not all from the same tribe. As in all things are from God, from an apple to a sour patch kid candy. But the alteration that occurs from the mind of man, the product is no longer a benefit, rather a temporal pleasure. And some tribes are only interested in temporal pleasures. So I know humans love the idea of unity consciousness but it is not wise at least currently in the earth realm. For one shall unify w tribes corrupt if not discerning.
I left the new age Spiritual community because it appears corrupted! I’ve listened to several individuals channel rock stars or other famous people, and had a sense that they were exploiting the person to gain followers and likes. Eckhart is an authentic and wise teacher. I trust him🙏

I used to hear garbled voices in my ear as a teenager and saw forms from other dimensions, especially through windows. I was afraid and told i was crazy and bad and pushed into the direction of mental illness for which I spent 12 years on heavy medication. I have heard my name being called since being off the medication and realising I wasn't mad at all but made to feel that way by a mother who didn't believe in any of it and was scared which naturally got transferred on to me. I hope these abilities return. What I like about eckhart is that he is open to all possibilities I don't refer to them as spirit or spirit worlds There is of course a lot of deception in this area and why we can only really trust our inner guide and experiences but I see them as coexisting realities alongside our own playing out all around us, and this information was available to me at the age of 10, the worst thing I ever did was tell my mother!

I think there is this automatic assumption that the channeler is, more or less, in integrated alignment with the channeled material or even with the entity that they may be channeling.

You still need companionship, and to be surrounded around other present people otherwise, it’s gonna be a lonely life. Being present is the most amazing thing that can happen to a person but if you’re surrounded around unconscious people, they will pull you down.
A Course in Miracles (ACIM) changed my life drastically. I was 40 years old and divorced 5 times. Because of ACIM my 6th marriage lasted longer than the first five put together. I was looking for LOVE in all the wrong places. I am 78 years old now, and I agree with Eckhart Tolle. My entire life has been a journey for me to learn how to love and trust my Self. There is only ONE consciousness, and I have found my place in IT.
As a spiritist, this message is so important. I feel like a lot of spiritists are so impressed with those phenomena that they tend to believe that everything is caused by external entities. They truly exist, but they're not so different than us and can make mistakes or get absorbed by their own ego.
Whatever resonates with you in that moment and uplifts you - is meant for you to help you. Personally I LOVE Bashar...he has taught me how to face my inner shadows and live with joy.

I totally agree with you. I found awakening (individuating my "self in the moment" from my "self narrating/confabulating in the moment) with a basic "mindfulness in the present moment" video 8-9 years ago. (It's the first video in my playlist. Click my username if you want to see it.). It was 3 years later I watched an Eckhart video and instantly thought "this is the first person I've heard who knows what I know!" (but, I was also struck by the _certainty_ that I would have never gotten it if I'd landed on Eckhart in the beginning. I would have gotten wrapped up in some things he says about collective consciousness, new-age'ish things. What I did had none of that. It was as simple as "if you want to know your mind, sit down and observe it." There was no buddhism, or religious stuff. Now I see that it is that stuff. But, I could have never gotten here those ways. It had to be very secular, observable myself, just discovering myself, individuation from the default mode of rumination as an escape from reality). Even then it wasn't simple. It took a couple of years of practice and becoming familiar with that observer self (without thought, able to get there without meditation). As you said, it's all about ego. It would have been my ego that distracted me from simply observing, needing to control it and precisely understand what the implications are of collective consciousness, or which strain of buddhism is correct, or which translation of something someone said 3000 years ago is the most correct. I would have become "that person" (an identity, "i'm one of them."). Awakening is so much simpler than that. It's the ego that makes it more. There's some channels out there that endlessly parse all this stuff (I can do it too). I think that's less about awakening, more about clicks, followers, monetization. Not everyone. I'm not saying Eckhart does that as much as the ones I've seen. I feel like, whenever anyone (including myself) says what it is, that's not what it is.
@@markfuller yes watch our egos, keep it simple. I personally do not adhere to any philosophy, or spirituality. I don't like labels because they are limiting. Staying in the now as much as possible and valuing time with nature and stay as clear as possible from loud humans, politics and the main culture. Living simply, without much material goods, that is where I am happy.

For example, there is a tedx video where Dada Gunamuktananda says: "We're all familiar with this saying by Descartes: _'I think, therefore I am.'_ But, when I stop thinking, I really am." That's _perfect!_ But, you can spend a lot of time listening to a lot of labels/descriptions (over and over) before hitting a point of inspiration that way. I like Sam Harris & Dan Harris (no relation). They're secular (none of the larger religious/faith overtones. Just "this is how the mind works." They may be open to the larger. But, to them it's not the important essence of awakening, being present. I've been liking Gabor Mate (again more secular, not overtones of philosophy or religion, other-worldly, etc. Just the mind.). I'm not sure he's really into awakening, but the way he gets into how the mind works, it's a direct description of awakening, being present (aware of the go how it affects us). In a similar fashion: Iain McGilchrist talks about left-/right-brain. Everyone's heard of that and has a notion of what that means. But, he talks about it in very clinical terms that make 100% sense about what's going on when we're in default autopilot mode, believing our thoughts are us (part of reality). The way he comes at it makes a lot of sense when I consider what I was doing when practicing mindfulness on the present moment, and individuating myself (what I was individuating from). He's not really into mindfulness, but describes what I think is it (or what's problematically not it, at the "how the brain works" level). _"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone."_ - Blaise Pascal (Pensées [Thoughts], 1654)
@@markfuller I like Eckhart Tolle..I love his quiet wisdom, simplicity.and presence. I also like Charles Einsenstein. Balance isn't easy. Finding balance is, to me, a continuous journey and well worth it.
I experienced that as well. In the beginning of my spiritual journey shortly after my awakening I felt attracted to channeling a lot. It was my ego attracted to the things, trying to make sense out of all of it and finding validation of my experiences somewhere. It helped a lot and guided me to the point when I learned channeling by myself. At some point I lost interest in channeling. I stopped channeling and didn't feel attracted much to other channelings. This was a necessary step in my own development, cause this way I could get in tough with my own inner wisdom and experience more who I really are. So it's true, that you shouldn't give your power away to some channeled entity and rather find the wisdom inside of you. But to be fair channeling can also be a nice permissionslip talking to your own Higherself.
Eckhardt Tolle is a wonderful enlightened teacher . Another not so we'll known teacher is Erin Michelle Galito. It is from a Course in Miracles perspective. One of the main messages is to "lighten up" and don't take things so seriously I am only ever interesed in the message, Does it make me feel light hearted . Namaste !
YES! (... Sorry, did I shout that?) The Law of One and A Course in Miracles are the only two channeled works I have found that contain wisdom of profound, lasting value.

But however hard the mind tries, the mind cannot get things as they promise because mind is matter, and matter cannot manifest from matter. People are so gullible that they think they can manifest by thinking differently, but creation doesn't work like that. I get to know ACIM thanks to Eckhart Tolle and I consider ACIM to be It, the ultimate answer. I studied it since 2015 and I am happy. I have MA in philosophy so I have solid base for comparison. I lived my life from young age quite as a mystic, and this aspect gets deeper the older I get. Besides ACIM I love of course Eckhart Tolle's books, then also Paul Selig's books, and add to the list also Yoga Vasistha (the best version is by Ravi Prakash Arya), then Talks by Ramana Maharshi, and finally I Am That by Nisargadata Maharaj.
I have experienced this so often. I happens automatically when I m writing, so very often. Or just when i lay in bed at night, relaxed. So much information incoming. Information flows effortlessly, information that I wasnt even aware of "having" but there is a knowing and a remembrance that flows through that, it's fascinating to observe that. There is a stream that is always there, you have to align with it, and whatever question i m asked or asking myself, there is this flow of wisdom...endless deep wisdom, but as soon as you try to grab it or get ego into the equation, there is an energy of chaos that intermixes and pollutes that state of being. .... but very fascinating process. I first head that "voice" when I was around 12... i m sure i heard it way earlier, but really loudly perceived it within myself when i was around that age. And the wisdom that came from it was nothing that i could have possibly known at that age.
Yet there are many others teaching to stay beyond mind in Awareness.....it's nothing new after all....Eckhart was just the first mainstream guy after Ophrah hyped his book in her show...thus introducing it to a broader audience...
I think musicians frequently channel spirits, often without knowing. Happens in songwriting sometimes. I'm not talking about humming some wordless melodies while working on a new composition, which is standard, more or less. I'm talking about having a complete message come through - hard to explain the difference. I just posted a song where that happened to me in dramatic fashion: "Rosetta West - Anymore." I was just strumming a single chord repeatedly in the dark and an entire message seemed to come through. It was very powerful. I can only make out a few of the words even now. I intended to re-record it with more composed lyrics, but I decided that wouldn't be honest to the experience. Anyway, this is my first Eckhart Tolle exposure and I intend to explore much more.
The irony of him sitting on a stage advising someone at length, who PAID to hear him talk, to access wisdom directly and not pay too much attention to channels - just him 😅!

I lost myself in it when I realized my psychic gift, wanting all the answers, ignoring my own wisdom, relying on it to give me guidance to heal absolutely everything I have ever been through and to help me to become enlightened or atleast free of all that was "wrong with me"/ wounds etc... I attracted a negative entity which pretended to be my guide and I believed for several months that I was going through a spiritual awakening. Eventually it's control got too much and I sought help from another psychic & medium, it was obvious it was not a good intentioned entity. Several months since realizing this and it is still there but can't control me anymore. It interferes with my thoughts etc. I think the lesson in it was exactly what you have said, Eckhart, not to loose yourself in it and turn away from your own wisdom. We are all infinite being connected to source consciousness. Thank you. I have had many people doing various clearings and so on but it hasn't worked to get rid of it but I think the lesson is key. Need to trust myself. Don't need so many answers from an external source.
Thank you for sharing. I am having a similar experience. Not able to meditate without interference. Can't even go into prayer without a certain entity taking hold of me. I now avoid deep thinking altogether. It's very upsetting not to have full autonomy over my trance states.
As a professional medium and channel I agree with Eckhart...it is all from the one consciousness...one source. If you go to a medium it should be evidential...someone saying "your grandma is here holding cookies" is not evidence but when they come through, give me their name, their dog's name and tells their father (this happened Sat) I know you have a lock of my hair in your pocket and you just got a tattoo for me..that's TRUE mediumship... ...then last night we caught an orb on my livestream that circled me just as I began channeling...again evidence...anyone can change their voice and spout out spirituality 101 but I was a scientist before a medium and once a scientist....I need proof...and yes you can work directly with source or you can tap into one of God's infinite helpers...it's all the same, all paths lead to home Namaste
Not necessarily, they could find all sorts of information about you online and trick you into thinking they are a medium. People fall for things like that all the time.

i love this man . I love his book Be in the Now and i love when he speaks ..I listen to channels quite often but i would rather listen to Eckhart as his human perspective is natural
So this happened to me : I was very close to my Dad who died in 2004. My 2 children married in 2010 and gave us 3 grandchildren : Brian, Edward, Nora. I did not realize the importance of these names until my daughter gave me a necklace with the first letter of each grandchild: BEN. I then realized that these spelled my Dad’s name. This was not planned - everyone was shocked.
We all have access to that higher state of consciousness, because we all are that higher consciousness! 😇❤️ So everyone can „channel“ answers and wisdom in the moments of stillness! 💫🙌

I was skeptical about "channeled" material until I came across Pathwork. I love Pathwork so much and am profoundly grateful to have encountered the lectures.
I hold the Pathwork material as perhaps the greatest open secret the world has. Its depth, purity and holistic completeness is - to my knowledge - unparallelled.

It is too deep and no-nonsense for that. I think newage is all about false light, but PW is so much about being real, warts and all, facing all shadows AND caress it all with both mental and emotional mercy.

Sometimes, especially in Non-Dual circles, thinking/thought gets dismissed as being "illusory" or something similar. Channeling is true and I have seen enough proof of that to support my conclusion. What brings validation to the message is the purity of the instrument that receive the message. Yes, everything is a manifestation of creating through imagination. Everything imagined is real somewhere and must be real to the person imagining and experiencing. Others can also take on the same ideas, beliefs and it becomes an experience for them as well.
Eckhart has helped me so much over the years. I do believe he is connected to extremely higher forms of unmanifest Consciousness, which is channelling, its PURE AND NON EGOIC IN FORM
I also have these experiences and let me tell you, just because it comes from somewhere else it doesn’t automatically mean it’s better or useful or easily applicable. It’s like fishing, sometimes you catch trash. It might be useful but don’t be mesmerized by it.
I've loved A Course in Miracles for many years but have just discovered another rare channel who's guides teachings are very aligned with the Course. It's Paul Selig's Manifestation Series. I've only read most of book 1, "Resurrection" but it has been extremely helpful and inspiring!!!
Channeling is receiving information from a Higher consciousness like your Higher Self/inner being like what Eckhart does, or Non physical source of consciousness such as a Spirit Guide, Angel, Higher being like an ET or someone who may have a physical body but is streaming their consciousness to you. If you've recieved inspiration or a bright THAT IS channeling too! It's natural, the level of consciousness you get is determined by the level of your vibration. You can get it thru blocks of thoughts like Abraham does with Esther Hicks and Eckhart Tolle beautifully described. Most channeled material is centuries ahead of it's time. Which is why Eckhart says it may not be so profound bc we can't understand. A good idea it's to read a paragraph and sleep on it. Anyway, a medium is one communicate to those who transitioned. @@solfh I totally agree! Discernment is key, That's why Meditation is key to develop the connection to your inner self first in order to know thyself before you can know what is what out there. Meditation is a closed circuit, opens the door to your Higher Self. Then you can choose to channel a guide with the right psychic protections. The way I teach is meditation you go within, channeling you go up the planes. It's a blending of energy first with your inner being ex Eckhart Tolle then if you choose to channel something outside yourself, ask for a high level guide or Angel or ascended master. I always tell ppl don't let them speak thru you, intend to recieve as downloads of info. That way you're in control. A true Guide will always enhance your creativity. Add a broader perspective to your life. A lower level entity will encourage emotional reactions to feed. If you meditate that won't happen bc meditation Isa natural protection like a focused laser beam that cuts thru the noise of the ego.
This channelings are all fraud and non spiritual. It's all business. How do you decide whether Channelings are ego driven or not ? People are so gullible. Why every channeling are from western countries ?? Why not anyone from Asia ? Why don't Buddhist monks and Hindu monks are doing channeling ??

I'm highly suspicious about people claiming to channel ET:s, "councils" and what not. My intuition strongly tells me there's a lot of inflated egos out there "channeling themselves" to gain fame and glory.

I do not believe it's a realm into which we should venture. I've been highly attuned to people my whole life (Empath) and sincerely believe we're all susceptible to manipulation by people and entities that we've absolutely no idea from which they've come or to where they go. We are surrounded at all times by the Spirit world, and it's become increasingly difficult for the authorities to deny the presence of "others" in and around the planet Extra Terrestrial, Inter/Intra Dimensional etc... .That said Humans are Spiritual creations and should only seek communion with the source of all, G-d. There are truly connected and gifted people among us, Eckhart certainly qualifies, unfortunately too many are simply self-servers and exploiters, of the gullible and vulnerable, (great many Clergy). Humans need no help in reaching the higher realm, though it can speed the experience, it also may leave the person at risk of exploitation. Prayer and meditation can, does and will lead the practitioner to higher levels of confidence, peace and understanding. Which at the end of the day or life is all that truly matters.
Well said. But what makes you think Eckhart is one of the real saints? I think christians are somewhat right that we always pray for the guidance and protection of Yeshua and the Holy Spirit, since we cannot judge and discern by ourselves.

But a lot of people follow his lectures, books, etc because of the value they hear/feel/discern in the words that he utters. They may have an awakening (a different way of looking at something) by the perspective that he presents. That is the only way someone knows whether what he says has value to them or not. On your statement about Christians…I don’t agree that they cannot judge and discern by themselves….maybe they choose not to? Then they can just live their physical lives and let someone else guide them in their religious life. My creative expressions can often feel like a flowing of consciousness. Truly I have been unable to understand what I am piecing together at times, even after seemingly completed. Only to come to understand years later the significance... Particularly in poetic expression.
So I am new to channeling and I won’t be using it again. It was an interesting experience but quite frankly, I don’t need it. I find the journey of self is quite beautiful. The thing that put me off is that the reiki master who I went to was calling other people who were supposedly frauds “c-*nts” and seemed to have an aggressive approach to anyone who upset her or those closest to her. I believe in the consciousness of love and compassion, so I find it very difficult to judge or not love people full stop. I’m not a doormat, I just know everyone is on a journey. Prior to this experience, I was dating someone who was very much into the empath / medium world and she was on drugs, lethargic, unhappy, no exercise, eating terribly and generally operating from low vibrations. Her decisions lay firmly with her best friend who suggested she was a medium. And that reinforced my wish to continue with the journey of self.

You can channel while you do those things, but not always.
In Deep Trance Channeling, you would not be conscious of the effort. You would "come to" and suddenly have a finished piece of music.
My house mates think my house is haunted, but I haven’t noticed anything strange in all my 300 years of living here !
I've been able to connect with people who've died since I can remember. I thought everyone saw spirits of deceased and could communicate with them. I stopped talking about it pretty early on because it was so frowned upon and people looked at me like I had 2 heads. For me, its kind of like answering a phone. Sometimes the message is crystal clear. I get names and how they died, things that were important to them, things that only people who knew them well would know and when I pass the message along, it's very helpful, comforting and meaningful. Other times it's very garbled, it doesn't come through very clear. On a few occasions, I've helped people who have died cross over. I accompanied my mom and my dad when they died. There is always a barrier I can't pass. I had 2 NDE's and was shown that I agreed to this life and part of the agreement was helping out in this way. I was to help out quietly, in the background, almost invisible.

Something is going wrong with them. For there is a realm beyond this, where demons live mostly, and they shouldn't be there. It is odd, you communicate with them, but not with demons. Maybe you don't have a weak or entry point.

In my opinion there are people who genuinely believe they communicating with something beyond others consciousness and those who are fully aware of the power they can gain over others by claiming to be able to communicate with something beyond others consciousness. I love this old guy with the German accent. Being a serious seeker as you say, for many years, puts you oftentimes among some unbelievably credulous people . A woman I knew spent 35k on what amounted to a small computer, some wires and sensors that hook up to your body, that was supposed to read your soul in various ways. Tried to tactfully talk her out of it, without success.
I couldn't agree more. After 15 years as a clergywoman, then another 8 studying psychics/channeling, I realized how futile and RARE anyone "got it right" for me. My journey with Spirit is my own. So true! We are one spirit split into billions of different forms of being experiencing absolute chaos. Service to others is service to self, service to self is also service to others as all is ultimately serving the one. But from the chaos will inevitably come order and balance. When the individual forms of consciousness become aligned and balanced or become “one” or realise the “oneness” (we reach an equilibrium) we can move our collective consciousness into a higher dimensional experience. It’s the cycle of cycles! As above so below.
True, consciousness in many forms, but not all from the same tribe. As in all things are from God, from an apple to a sour patch kid candy. But the alteration that occurs from the mind of man, the product is no longer a benefit, rather a temporal pleasure. And some tribes are only interested in temporal pleasures. So I know humans love the idea of unity consciousness but it is not wise at least currently in the earth realm. For one shall unify w tribes corrupt if not discerning.
I left the new age Spiritual community because it appears corrupted! I’ve listened to several individuals channel rock stars or other famous people, and had a sense that they were exploiting the person to gain followers and likes. Eckhart is an authentic and wise teacher. I trust him🙏

I used to hear garbled voices in my ear as a teenager and saw forms from other dimensions, especially through windows. I was afraid and told i was crazy and bad and pushed into the direction of mental illness for which I spent 12 years on heavy medication. I have heard my name being called since being off the medication and realising I wasn't mad at all but made to feel that way by a mother who didn't believe in any of it and was scared which naturally got transferred on to me. I hope these abilities return. What I like about eckhart is that he is open to all possibilities

As a spiritist, this message is so important. I feel like a lot of spiritists are so impressed with those phenomena that they tend to believe that everything is caused by external entities. They truly exist, but they're not so different than us and can make mistakes or get absorbed by their own ego.

I like...I don't need to know that...Agreed, I feel the same way...I am focusing on being present and Being and to dig deep with my roots like a tree, and reaching out, like the branches, into the universe, letting go of the ego, living in the now.
I totally agree with you. I found awakening (individuating my "self in the moment" from my "self narrating/confabulating in the moment) with a basic "mindfulness in the present moment" video 8-9 years ago. (It's the first video in my playlist. Click my username if you want to see it.). It was 3 years later I watched an Eckhart video and instantly thought "this is the first person I've heard who knows what I know!" (but, I was also struck by the _certainty_ that I would have never gotten it if I'd landed on Eckhart in the beginning. I would have gotten wrapped up in some things he says about collective consciousness, new-age'ish things. What I did had none of that. It was as simple as "if you want to know your mind, sit down and observe it." There was no buddhism, or religious stuff. Now I see that it is that stuff. But, I could have never gotten here those ways. It had to be very secular, observable myself, just discovering myself, individuation from the default mode of rumination as an escape from reality). Even then it wasn't simple. It took a couple of years of practice and becoming familiar with that observer self (without thought, able to get there without meditation).
As you said, it's all about ego. It would have been my ego that distracted me from simply observing, needing to control it and precisely understand what the implications are of collective consciousness, or which strain of buddhism is correct, or which translation of something someone said 3000 years ago is the most correct. I would have become "that person" (an identity, "i'm one of them."). Awakening is so much simpler than that. It's the ego that makes it more.
There's some channels out there that endlessly parse all this stuff (I can do it too). I think that's less about awakening, more about clicks, followers, monetization. Not everyone. I'm not saying Eckhart does that as much as the ones I've seen. I feel like, whenever anyone (including myself) says what it is, that's not what it is.
@@markfuller yes watch our egos, keep it simple. I personally do not adhere to any philosophy, or spirituality. I don't like labels because they are limiting. Staying in the now as much as possible and valuing time with nature and stay as clear as possible from loud humans, politics and the main culture. Living simply, without much material goods, that is where I am happy.

For example, there is a tedx video where Dada Gunamuktananda says: "We're all familiar with this saying by Descartes: _'I think, therefore I am.'_ But, when I stop thinking, I really am." That's _perfect!_ But, you can spend a lot of time listening to a lot of labels/descriptions (over and over) before hitting a point of inspiration that way.
I like Sam Harris & Dan Harris (no relation). They're secular (none of the larger religious/faith overtones. Just "this is how the mind works." They may be open to the larger. But, to them it's not the important essence of awakening, being present.
I've been liking Gabor Mate (again more secular, not overtones of philosophy or religion, other-worldly, etc. Just the mind.). I'm not sure he's really into awakening, but the way he gets into how the mind works, it's a direct description of awakening, being present (aware of the go how it affects us). In a similar fashion: Iain McGilchrist talks about left-/right-brain. Everyone's heard of that and has a notion of what that means. But, he talks about it in very clinical terms that make 100% sense about what's going on when we're in default autopilot mode, believing our thoughts are us (part of reality). The way he comes at it makes a lot of sense when I consider what I was doing when practicing mindfulness on the present moment, and individuating myself (what I was individuating from). He's not really into mindfulness, but describes what I think is it (or what's problematically not it, at the "how the brain works" level).

@@markfuller I like Eckhart Tolle..I love his quiet wisdom, simplicity.and presence. I also like Charles Einsenstein. Balance isn't easy. Finding balance is, to me, a continuous journey and well worth it.
I experienced that as well. In the beginning of my spiritual journey shortly after my awakening I felt attracted to channeling a lot.
It was my ego attracted to the things, trying to make sense out of all of it and finding validation of my experiences somewhere. It helped a lot and guided me to the point when I learned channeling by myself.
At some point I lost interest in channeling. I stopped channeling and didn't feel attracted much to other channelings.
This was a necessary step in my own development, cause this way I could get in tough with my own inner wisdom and experience more who I really are.
So it's true, that you shouldn't give your power away to some channeled entity and rather find the wisdom inside of you.
But to be fair channeling can also be a nice permissionslip talking to your own Higherself.

Eckhardt Tolle is a wonderful enlightened teacher . Another not so we'll known teacher is Erin Michelle Galito. It is from a Course in Miracles perspective. I get to know ACIM thanks to Eckhart Tolle and I consider ACIM to be It, the ultimate answer. I studied it since 2015 and I am happy. I have MA in philosophy so I have solid base for comparison. I lived my life from young age quite as a mystic, and this aspect gets deeper the older I get. Besides ACIM I love of course Eckhart Tolle's books, then also Paul Selig's books, and add to the list also Yoga Vasistha (the best version is by Ravi Prakash Arya), then Talks by Ramana Maharshi, and finally I Am That by Nisargadata Maharaj.

This is correct that most channels actually do not have anything worthwhile to say with very few exceptions
I have experienced this so often. I happens automatically when I m writing, so very often. Or just when i lay in bed at night, relaxed. So much information incoming. Information flows effortlessly, information that I wasnt even aware of "having" but there is a knowing and a remembrance that flows through that, it's fascinating to observe that. There is a stream that is always there, you have to align with it, and whatever question i m asked or asking myself, there is this flow of wisdom...endless deep wisdom, but as soon as you try to grab it or get ego into the equation, there is an energy of chaos that intermixes and pollutes that state of being. .... but very fascinating process. I first head that "voice" when I was around 12... i m sure i heard it way earlier, but really loudly perceived it within myself when i was around that age. And the wisdom that came from it was nothing that i could have possibly known at that age.

I think musicians frequently channel spirits, often without knowing. Happens in songwriting sometimes. I'm not talking about humming some wordless melodies while working on a new composition, which is standard, more or less. I'm talking about having a complete message come through - hard to explain the difference. I just posted a song where that happened to me in dramatic fashion: "Rosetta West - Anymore." I was just strumming a single chord repeatedly in the dark and an entire message seemed to come through. It was very powerful. I can only make out a few of the words even now. I intended to re-record it with more composed lyrics, but I decided that wouldn't be honest to the experience. Anyway, this is my first Eckhart Tolle exposure and I intend to explore much more.

I lost myself in it when I realized my psychic gift, wanting all the answers, ignoring my own wisdom, relying on it to give me guidance to heal absolutely everything I have ever been through and to help me to become enlightened or atleast free of all that was "wrong with me"/ wounds etc... I attracted a negative entity which pretended to be my guide and I believed for several months that I was going through a spiritual awakening. Eventually it's control got too much and I sought help from another psychic & medium, it was obvious it was not a good intentioned entity. Several months since realizing this and it is still there but can't control me anymore. It interferes with my thoughts etc. I think the lesson in it was exactly what you have said, Eckhart, not to loose yourself in it and turn away from your own wisdom. We are all infinite being connected to source consciousness. Thank you. I have had many people doing various clearings and so on but it hasn't worked to get rid of it but I think the lesson is key. Need to trust myself. Don't need so many answers from an external source.
Thank you for sharing. I am having a similar experience. Not able to meditate without interference. Can't even go into prayer without a certain entity taking hold of me. I now avoid deep thinking altogether. It's very upsetting not to have full autonomy over my trance states.

As a professional medium and channel I agree with Eckhart...it is all from the one consciousness...one source. If you go to a medium it should be evidential...someone saying "your grandma is here holding cookies" is not evidence but when they come through, give me their name, their dog's name and tells their father (this happened Sat) I know you have a lock of my hair in your pocket and you just got a tattoo for me..that's TRUE mediumship...

So this happened to me : I was very close to my Dad who died in 2004. My 2 children married in 2010 and gave us 3 grandchildren : Brian, Edward, Nora. I did not realize the importance of these names until my daughter gave me a necklace with the first letter of each grandchild: BEN. I then realized that these spelled my Dad’s name. This was not planned - everyone was shocked.
We all have access to that higher state of consciousness, because we all are that higher consciousness! 😇❤️

I also have these experiences and let me tell you, just because it comes from somewhere else it doesn’t automatically mean it’s better or useful or easily applicable. It’s like fishing, sometimes you catch trash. It might be useful but don’t be mesmerized by it.
I've loved A Course in Miracles for many years but have just discovered another rare channel who's guides teachings are very aligned with the Course. It's Paul Selig's Manifestation Series. I've only read most of book 1, "Resurrection" but it has been extremely helpful and inspiring!!!
Channeling is receiving information from a Higher consciousness like your Higher Self/inner being like what Eckhart does, or Non physical source of consciousness such as a Spirit Guide, Angel, Higher being like an ET or someone who may have a physical body but is streaming their consciousness to you. If you've recieved inspiration or a bright THAT IS channeling too! It's natural, the level of consciousness you get is determined by the level of your vibration. You can get it thru blocks of thoughts like Abraham does with Esther Hicks and Eckhart Tolle beautifully described. Most channeled material is centuries ahead of it's time. Which is why Eckhart says it may not be so profound bc we can't understand. A good idea it's to read a paragraph and sleep on it. Anyway, a medium is one communicate to those who transitioned. @@solfh I totally agree! Discernment is key, That's why Meditation is key to develop the connection to your inner self first in order to know thyself before you can know what is what out there. Meditation is a closed circuit, opens the door to your Higher Self. Then you can choose to channel a guide with the right psychic protections. The way I teach is meditation you go within, channeling you go up the planes. It's a blending of energy first with your inner being ex Eckhart Tolle then if you choose to channel something outside yourself, ask for a high level guide or Angel or ascended master. I always tell ppl don't let them speak thru you, intend to recieve as downloads of info. That way you're in control. A true Guide will always enhance your creativity. Add a broader perspective to your life. A lower level entity will encourage emotional reactions to feed. I do not believe it's a realm into which we should venture. I've been highly attuned to people my whole life (Empath) and sincerely believe we're all susceptible to manipulation by people and entities that we've absolutely no idea from which they've come or to where they go. We are surrounded at all times by the Spirit world, and it's become increasingly difficult for the authorities to deny the presence of "others" in and around the planet Extra Terrestrial, Inter/Intra Dimensional etc... .That said Humans are Spiritual creations and should only seek communion with the source of all, G-d. There are truly connected and gifted people among us, Eckhart certainly qualifies, unfortunately too many are simply self-servers and exploiters, of the gullible and vulnerable, (great many Clergy). Humans need no help in reaching the higher realm, though it can speed the experience, it also may leave the person at risk of exploitation. Prayer and meditation can, does and will lead the practitioner to higher levels of confidence, peace and understanding. Which at the end of the day or life is all that truly matters.

They may have an awakening (a different way of looking at something) by the perspective that he presents. That is the only way someone knows whether what he says has value to them or not.
On your statement about Christians…I don’t agree that they cannot judge and discern by themselves….maybe they choose not to? Then they can just live their physical lives and let someone else guide them in their religious life. It’s only when you WANT to make those connections yourself that your individual spiritual life starts. It is not wrong either way you choose to do it!
My creative expressions can often feel like a flowing of consciousness. Truly I have been unable to understand what I am piecing together at times, even after seemingly completed. Only to come to understand years later the significance... Particularly in poetic expression.

As we understand it, the "Presence" is actually the True Deep Self/ No Self in everyone and in everything.
An entity coming through a channel is merely another tool. Take with you what is helpful and toss out the rest.
So I am new to channeling and I won’t be using it again. It was an interesting experience but quite frankly, I don’t need it. I find the journey of self is quite beautiful. The thing that put me off is that the reiki master who I went to was calling other people who were supposedly frauds “c-*nts” and seemed to have an aggressive approach to anyone who upset her or those closest to her.
I believe in the consciousness of love and compassion, so I find it very difficult to judge or not love people full stop. I’m not a doormat, I just know everyone is on a journey.
Prior to this experience, I was dating someone who was very much into the empath / medium world and she was on drugs, lethargic, unhappy, no exercise, eating terribly and generally operating from low vibrations. Her decisions lay firmly with her best friend who suggested she was a medium.
And that reinforced my wish to continue with the journey of self.

At the beginning when I met her, she had 20 years and was so skinny, her teeth came out, and behave like a man.
We became close friends.
After some time she came to live to my house. We were happy.
It can be seen at the pictures.
I saw a potential in her, and with me she transformed for good.
Maria came 6 months after that. Cause trouble in my house even when I feed her and gave her a roof over her head. That ungrateful they are.
My woman became so beautiful and I became so sick. I woke up in the middle of night screaming.
I now what pain is. I now what it feels to lay down all night long (all night, haha) with insomnia, that's for years. Ac the end of the relationship she was gorgeous (I love this word) and I was so skinny and sick just about to day because not much people understand sickness and energy vampires at the same time, they are lovely 🌹
