  • Opposition leader Nelson Chamisa called Zimbabwe's election result, which President Emmerson Mnangagwa won with 50.8% of the vote, "fraudulent, illegal, and illegitimate" during a press conference that was delayed by riot police in the capital Harare.
Speaking to journalists at the Bronte Hotel, the MDC Alliance party leader reiterated his allegation that the election "rigged".
"Mr Mnangagwa did not win the election in this country … we won this election emphatically," he said.
“We won this election and we are ready to form the next government.”
He also referred to the riot police disrupting the event.
"This is not the behaviour of people who had won, it is behaviour of people who had lost."

Hewlet p yes because he knows what he is talking about, it’s a shame that in this 21st century we are still face with ugly and power hungry leaders who will do anything to win an election. Our independent has been nothing but useless, hopelessness and failure because our leaders are crazy monsters.

he didn't and he never urged people to be violent, people knows who they voted for and they know he won. On Wednesday the 1st people demonstrated for the release of the results because they really know who they voted for and they want him to be the president. No one ordered anyone to be in streets that day but people are just tired of the same regime which is older than them. Zimbabwe is not a private business neither private property, but rather a God given nation. #Forward President Nelson Chamisa, we rally behind you. # we need change

    I am a BANGLADESHI 🇧🇩 citizen.
On 29th of July 2018 around 2-7 (media is silent about the actual number ) school going students were killed and quite a few injured by a reckless bus driver. The students were standing on the bus stand/footpath. Since then all students of Bangladesh are peacefully protesting for safe roads. They are not harming anyone. Everyone is cooperating. Even parents are being supportive. But POLICE and people belonging to factions of the ruling party tortured students with tear gas, beating the students brutally on the 2nd August 2018 (yesterday). Government is still silent with no definitive effort to solve the crisis.
we are talking about students who are 12-18 years old and who have been relentlessly working to set the road and transportation system right where the law has been consistently failing. these youngsters are checking vehicle fitness papers and license, stopping those who do do not have proper and updated papers. Opening fire on them and beating up mercilessly is a massive violation of human rights.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE HELP US TO LET THE WORLD KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN BANGLADESH 🇧🇩
    #BBC
    #CNN
    #AlJazeera
    #savethechildren
Copy-Paste and post it on your status so that we can reach out to the international media to help resolve this crisis.

The international and regional community has turned their backs on Zimbabwe. If the army can go in the streets and shoot women in their back, unarmed civilians fleeing being shot at and no action being taken against this army shows that the time for Zimbabweans remaining as doves is past. As Zimbabweans we need to come up with a way to defend ourselves against this onslaught, otherwise we will be beaten into submission. They are doing what they are doing now because we are not fighting back. I urge the opposition to change their path and become more militant in their approach. If these people go tpower through violence against Mugabe, they will continue to hold on to power through violence. Lets not make any mistake about that. If the beating up of people in the suburbs being carried out by soldiers visits the opposition leaders, they will understand that their approach is not working. Mugabe was a better devil.

The reason ZANU PF won votes at Rural areas and lost all the Metropolitans is because people in rural areas are threatened by those veterans who fought for freedom. Yes we thank those who lost their lives and those who took part in liberating Zimbabwe but, we no longer need these Old age people in power “they can’t do anything that will benefit the youth of Zimbabwe or a country as a whole” as a matter of fact, had people not been forced or convinced to vote for ZANU PF by those old thugs, the party would have lost.

    To my dear brother Chamisa,
I am kindly asking you to let this election go in the name of God, why I say so is because, our father and president Mnangagwa was the one who removed Mugabe from power and we should all respect him for that. No matter what transpired, whether the elections were rigged or not, please just take the results as they are for now and let us move on and built Zimbabwe. Would it be fair for a man who paved the way for Zimbabweans, to rule the country for only 9 months? I don't think so, it would only be fair for Mnangagwa to take this term and then in 2023 your turn will come. Do you honestly think that if Mugabe was still in power you would have even challenged the elections, of course not, because the elections would not have been peaceful in the first place, not free and fairwith no international observers at all. So please my dear brother, in honour and respect for what our father Mnangagwa done for Zimbabwe, please let this election go and look forward to the 2023 ones. Please let us join hands together and move forward, five years is not too much to wait, let us have patients and move on, your turn is just around the corner my dear brother, that is what a wise man like yourself will do for the nation of Zimbabwe. Let our father Mnangagwa be. Thank you and God bless you for your wisdom and understanding.

I’m so ashamed for being an African just because of these things. How where else can you see this except in Africa. I do believe that Mr Mnangagwa who was the formal right hand man of their past president (mr Mugabe) shouldn’t stand for this election at all because he is just like the former president. I am a Bangladeshi. Last week 7 students were killed on a road accident in the capital of our country. The students started protesting against the government for safer roads.they stated a 9 points movement. To stop this protest the people working under the government are vigorously attacking the students. Today 4 students were killed and many girls were raped and killed. In total so many students lost their life only for demanding safer roads. The media of the country isn't covering anything and the students are facing life risk.we are children's and teenagers only. We don't know what we can do. Please help us. We need your help and we want the international channels to cover our news. Please help us. We are begging for our life.

I am a Citizen of Bangladesh 🇧🇩 . On 29th of July 2018 school going students were killed by a reckless bus driver. The students were standing on the bus stand. Since then All students of Bangladesh is protesting for safe roads. They are not harming even a single person. Even parents are supportive. But today POLICE AND PEOPLE OF LEAGUE tortured students with tear shell, they beat students brutally and sexually harassed the female students today (4/8/ 2k18). Government is sitting there silent. WE NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE HELP US TO LET THE WORLD KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN BANGLADESH 🇧🇩 #BBC #CNN #AlJazeera
