It was clearly just a troll job by Wildes. One I live for. The Lakers were a lottery team without their 1st rounder last year til the trade deadline. Then became a playoff team. No league does the regular season mean less than the NBA regular season. There are no must wins til February at the earliest.

The Lakers are a marquee franchise that has given the league and fans tons of great memories..but it’s clearly Denver’s time now, and for the foreseeable future. They are just plain better then LA, and it’s time that the media and everyone else figures that out.

It's comical how Nick tries to overinflate Jamal when he's readily dismissed his talents prior. The flip-flopping is crazy. Jamal is one talented guard, only a contrarian would deny that, but trying to create the narrative that the Lakers lost fell primarily on Murray's (proving to those who don't actually watch basketball) performance is absurd. The Nuggets were better coached, had a more capable roster, played stronger defense, had a deeper rotation, made timely baskets, played within themselves, and made the needed adjustments to stay ahead of what the Lakers wanted to do. The team was overall better, and that's why they won.
100% The reality is, as you say, the Nuggets were simply better and Jokic and Murray out executed LeBron and AD down the stretch in all 4 games. The Nuggets team--and duo--were better than the Lakers team and duo. Simple.

He's done it the last 2 times he was healthy in the playoff in 2020 and 23. That's who he is in the playoffs. I believe in players that have played over 50 playoff games he has the greatest increase in playoff performance compared to the regular season. I think Jokic is #2. This is what they do. No fluke. Murray was at least as good in the bubble if not better.
