Had mine for decades, branded "Dillon". Great torch, use it all the time. Get the special low pressure regulators for it. Came in a nice case as well, got som micro tips for it as well.
And it's an Australian invention
Picked one up secondhand at the Toowoomba (Queensland, Australia) swap meet February this year, $150, couldn't get my money out of my pocket fast enough.....👍

Hi thanks for your reply just had a look on there site and the price is ridiculously expensive $775 plus delivery for the basic kit considering as you say in the video that it sells for under $400 in the US that price way over the top

There appears to be much confusion as to the origin of the Dillon MkIV, Henrob 2000 and the DHC 2000 also known as Cobra Torch. They are almost the same. Detroit Torches claim that the idea came from Sweden. This is simply not true. Since the early 70s the torch was developed and patented by Nicholas Thomas Edward Dillon; a proud Australian who lived in Magill in South Australia (1976). He eventually sold the idea to others! However this is far from the end or the beginning of the story. A very similar pistol gripped torch was designed and patented by Edmond Fouche'; yes a Frenchman. (Not to be confused with Edmund Davies who discovered Acetylene in 1836) Fouche' and his other countryman engineer Charles Picard invented Oxy acetylene welding in 1903. In 1919 Fouche' patented the first version of this pistol grip oxy torch. The same Nicholas Dillon acknowledged the existence of Fouche's torch in his 1976 Australian Patent. He ended up using much of the Fouche' torch in his model. Unfortunately one cannot post here on utube the image of the 1919 Fouche torch. He noted in earlier oxy torches (the long barrel type) " the short period of contact between the two gases in the mixing conduit of the apparatus is insufficient for completely mixing the two gases " Anyone that sees his design will note and appreciate the sheer genius of Fouche' who should be given the real merit of what we now call the Cobra Torch.

can you use this with standard regulators or do you have to buy new regulators also??
Standard regulators can be used. We offer low pressure regulators to optimize performance.
It sounds real good and looks good but when they say it will weld even dirty corroded aluminum he starts to lose me. If those tips cut so super fine I wonder if it will be super hard to keep them cutting that way.
I’m watching him cut that thick stock so nice and clean but wonder what happens if you hit a bad spot in the steel and it shoots back? Does it destroy the perfection of the tip in one second?
I’m looking for a new nice, small torch and I like the looks of this one but I don’t think I can afford to spend $500 to see if it works as good as the carnival barker says it does
It definitely welds dirty aluminum and thick too.
What do you do to deoxidize or clean aluminum before welding?
Do you sell replacement tips i cant find any i need the cutting torch tips

Regretfully Cobra does not have a dealer in the UK. However, Cobra does have a dealer in Sweden that you can speak with. If you google "dillonwelding" it should take you right to their web
What regulators are you using? In another video, you can hear the very heavy hissing of the gas when lit, but no sound from your torch welding thin sheet metal???
Most likely, the torch is louder during initial setup using standard regulators and the larger #3 tip. When welding thin sheet metal at 4psi oxygen and acetylene, the torch is very quiet and the flame is very soft.
Have you seen any issues with it running when doing anything vertical giving an ugly weld?
+Whiskey Simulation This would come down to operator control. The torch flame is precise enough to allow for minimal excessive heat, which results in easier puddle control. Practice, Practice, Practice!
Something is wrong here. I just went to the website and it is $569. $899 with regulator and only 12.5 feet of hose. Not $400 like stated in this video.
They offer 2 different kits, a more complete kit and one that has less accessories and tips.
you forgot the welding glasses for alunimium they price at $240. You can buy a decent TIG for that price and not cook you hand. Now if you wanted to use it for thin gage aluminum on car restoration where I think it would be warranted and you are on a bare bone budget, technology offers pulse mode that allows welding with near zero heat. What would have made sense 10 years ago is not longer with the cheap Chinese pulse hi freq welders. This technology is on its way out. You will find these at a swap meet near you pretty soon next to IBM Selectric typewriters
it is definitely a boutique torch. This is reliable old technology that is portable and needs no electricity, no boards to blow etc. For a workshop you can't beat the versatility of oxy acetylene

If you want to sale me this system... You 're going to have to slow down after you make the weld and let be see if it looks good... In this video you're quick to move the metal around and keep it moving so we can't even see the weld quality... Make a video and give us some closeups of the welding and finished welds... Can this system weld like a tig welder stacks of dimes... Show us it can... If not I'm not Buying It...

If you have ever gas welded you will know exactly how they turn out, it’s not a tig welder so it’s not as pretty

R.J. MacReady the problem with your thought process is the Everlast product is junk. I have had mine less than a year and already sent it back at my cost both ways cause their warranty doesn't cover shipping. Cheapest shipping is $48 and takes 2 weeks. So you end up without your machine 5-7 weeks or you spend half the cost of the machine.
Not to mention that you could also braze and silva solder and several other things with this type of torch that you can not accomplish with a plasma.
Oh and by the way customer support at Everlast is gonna treat you like an idiot!! Is your machine plugged in sir? Do you have your breaker on? Are your leads properly connected? How far are you from your ground? Did you grind the area your ground is making connection? Like I wanted to stand in a 105 degrees and answer his stupid questions that I had already spent the last hour going through the works on all obvious reasons. Then when he asked my first name I made the mistake of saying Chad Dunn. SO he repeats like a smart *** your last name is Chad Dunn? Come on man he was just being a jerk because I had gotten frustrated trying to explain I had already taken all these steps before I called.
I had my leads connected wrong on my everlast TIG when I first tried to use it. i thought the labels were a little confusing
How does this torch use less gas compared to the traditional torch at the same psi settings?
This torch is not set at the same psi. This torch runs at 4psi

I asked the same thing before I bought one, it's not for hydrogen, but what it does with acetylene is still amazing.
just make sure you don't get rid of your trusty old torch, because after purchasing this you will attempt to use it numerous times over the years with zero success just as i and numerous other people have lol when you realize how difficult and slow it is while your hand is 500 degrees 4 inches from the flame =/
That's do inpatient operator nothing do with the torch I have one and have no trouble using it

Good as tig what a joke. Strongest weld in the market I call BS. what a bunch of lies. I'll stick with tig and oxy /ace torch any day over that.
