What’s weird is Mattel literally had an opportunity to just make a Gordon rescan with a different face and smoke box. If anything it would’ve been more accurate since they are meant to be identical in terms of shape. Just give them a different tender and deckles and then you’re pretty much good to go
I believe Scotsman has a different type of running board which bends around the first wheel arch, though I don’t know if Plarail or Trackmaster would do that.
Okay so we got 3 speed Thomas, Gordon, James and Spencer by fisher price 11 years ago but imagine a 3 speed flying Scotsman if he was released along side Thomas, Gordon, James and Spencer, he would’ve been so popular
Yes, they’re sold at limited places. Of course, he’s in a greatest moments back still because Mattel won’t let go of his second tender. I recommend going to buy it from Toy Mate or Amazon
@@wishbonefan Doesn't help that distribution tends to be crap, most stores in my area only have a bunch of Motorized Windmills and some Adventures engines, sometimes not even that
@@Kukaak The distribution of Wooden Railway 2022 and Wood before it sucked too. Both are only sometimes in Barnes and Noble of all stores, big stores like Target and Walmart won't have them. Sometimes if you're lucky you'll find it at Toys R Us in Macy's, but not always.
I remember having the Trackmaster Flying Scotsman for Christmas 2016 and I liked it and I still like the revolution version it looks really nice of its details and I don't mind the steam clouds and the face is pretty accurate. If plarail decided to make their own version of Flying Scotsman I will be using it a lot more than the revolution version.

So, the wooden railway wink has always been wrong. That’s technically Henry, not the flying Scotsman who is winking in the story super rescue. I don’t know why learning curve used that image as the basis for the characters facial expression, lol

I got mine for £7 and they only thing wrong was a big of hair in the wheels which I got out using a toothpick

Using Gordon's running board/footplate is also a realism red flag. Gordon's footplate is sloped but Scotsman's is curved inwards.
