Gr8 videos, for the lateral T spine breathing technique , I understand its long exposure time ( which can be 2-3s ) with low mA. Can you please give me an example of exposures you might set on the control panel for a small to medium pt 🙏
Is a chest x-ray taken 3 times in a row in a two-month period? Is it safe? And how long is the medically permissible period between one x-ray examination and the other?
X-rays shoot through eye lids, but for a chest x-ray, your eyes will not receive the primary xrays, instead it may be hit by weaker secondary x-rays, long story sort, you'll be fine, the amount of radiation is not high at all
I always think it's a good idea to find a way with your own body to do the job easier. A lot of positions us techs need to do require us to go 1-2 inches superior/medial/inferior etc. Caught on quickly that most people 2-3 finger widths are close to those measurements. For example the width of my 3 digits is almost exactly 2 inches. So I use them a lot to help with centering, top of light field placement, etc. I hope that helps :)
Strange, in Romania the centering is on T5 or T6, a Romanian book trump from 1956 probably made a mistake due to intellectual overwork ... and it remains so even today. all the technicians and doctors have taken over this strangeness. I noticed that everyone is focusing on T7, this strangeness or mistake cost us as Romanians the first place in the world for heart diseases.
For which image? AP and Lateral there is no angle. Swimmers you can angle 3-5 caudal but the Merrill'S 14th edition it is 0 and the angle is added only if necessary. I do teach my students it makes for a prettier picture though. :)
@@HarisKhan-ow4oi weird, not directly x-ray related but I'll do my best. honey typically lives in trees and are supplied by bees. However I have seen several great beekeeper documentaries and they seem to live in weird beekeeping boxes as well.
It's because it's for a very small portion of the spine between t and c so if you collimate appropriately the 72 is not required because the 72" is only due to SID, T Is done at 40 so since it's for only those t1-C7 vertebrae it works more effectively for equal exposure. If very broad a filter can be utilized.
im currently in the rad tech program. thank you for the videos. You make me understand things better than in my labs lol.
I’m going for my license reinstatement, this has been a great refresher!
Thank you!
How’d you do? I went for the same thing
Passed and am now working again haha and these videos really helped in that journey
@@calivali2876 I passed and think I did even better this time around. I’m back in saddle again, lol!
@@brianboyles5077 congrats man! Great to hear that

I miss my job really 😄 as a radiographer tnx for this vedeo I recall some positioning.
You're welcome!
Great job explaining!
helped me immensely!!!! GRACIAS
What’s the name of this machine by chance?!.
Can you please upload more videos! They help more than you think
Can you please make a video explaining the factors to improve the image quality like mas. kvp,, when we increase it and adjust it
Sure I'm having some difficulty uploading videos with my new computer but I'll film one and get it up asap! Thanks for watching I hope these help!
@@licensedtoshoot1911 Take your time and ty for your efforts.👍
What breathing technique do you use for swimmers?
You can suspend respiration or have the patient resume normal breathing
Found my fave thank you!!

It's safe, it's not a lot of xrays, CT scans are the ones that u should put a limit on
I mean not a lot of radiation
I did an x-ray of my chest. My eyes remained open during the x-ray. Is there damage to the eyes.... and should we close our eyes during the x-ray?
No you're totally fine :) a chest xray gives you the same radiation of driving 220 miles
@@licensedtoshoot1911 I mean, even if we open our eyes during x-rays, it will not affect the health of our eyes

Madam can you please tell me about the inch measurements using fingers

Which is the best for a patient with Kyphosis erect or supine thoracic spine?@licensedtoshoot1911
i think you forgot to increase the SID for the swimmers..... book recommend 60 to 72
Depends on where you live in USA it's still 40 (which is now 45)
