I'm just glad that this tablet has a headphone jack. I miss the days when there was multiple choices of android brand tablets like it used to be with the android phones like from htc, lg, sony, zte etc. The android manufacturers made the android tablets more expensive than the cheapest base model iPad with the lowest storage capacity and android devices in general are usually more affordable than apple from the get go. The older samsung and older nexus devices were reasonably priced but lacked app developer support for tablet apps. Nowadays the choices of phones and tablets are limited to choose from when shopping in stores. Most of my android tablets that I still have only came with 16gb of storage with 2gb or 3gb of ram and a micro usb port since usb c did not exist when micro usb was being on most electronics like bluetooth headphones and bluetooth speakers and still has a headphone jack. I kept these android tablets because they have features that are missing on newer tablets and I prefer the older versions of android since it was less restrictive. With each new version of android google is always changing something by limiting certain functionality that can no longer be used used on newer versions of android. For example, apps can no longer be saved to the micro sd card, 32 bit apps no longer being supported starting with the pixel 7 and pixel 7a even though the current version of android still uses 32 bit linux code. With newer versions of android some apps on the play store won't load or won't work because it says that the app was designed for an older version of android. The apps that says that they were designed for an android should still work since the current version of android did not fully move to 64 bit for all apps on the play store. I even still sideload apps that were no longer supported and use android 4.4 and some of them work but still work, it's just a matter of trial and error and see what apps work. Even the apps that I paid for and with the in app purchases were removed from the google play store including some games and 3rd party launchers that I downloaded from the playstore was removed. My pixel 4a 5g is still on android 11 since I don't trust software updates only app updates plus the benefit of app updates is there are versions that still works and you can downgrade to an older version of the app that still works. It's not like you can download software updates like you would with apps and downgrade to a more reliable version of android that works like android apps. You can by downgrade to a more reliable version of android by rooting but it requires root access compared to sideloading apps that works and you can remove apps that don't work and stick with apps that work. If software updates works the same way with sideloading apps and than I would trust software updates. I trust sideloading apps way more than doing any software updates. Sideloading apps don't break functionality, like using mobile data hotspot. Everytime I do a software update my mobile hotspot no longer works. I have to buy a new phone just so my mobile data hotspot works even though my plan already included mobile data hotspot and I check the usage on my plan to make sure that I did use up all may mobile hotspot and it turns out that I still have plenty of hotspot mobile usuage still available and buying a new sim card still does not work and I even call my cell phone carrier to confirm if hotspot is still applicable to my cell phone plan and they tell me that it still does. Software updates even make my phone very hot right away after I do a software update even when I do a factory data reset 2 or 3 times in a row, battery drain very fast even with a factory data reset and before downloading any apps, even before signing into my gmail account and the software updates makes the phone lag even with 120 hz refresh rate is enabled. Everytime I do a software update, I would turn on mobile hotspot and it would turn immediately off every single time and won't even last 2 seconds before it turns off automatically even though I have mobile data hotspot enabled manually and I have all my settings on my phone set to manually. It's why I trust apps way more than software updates. Software updates and bluetooth headphones are part of planned obsolescence that's why phone manufacturers try to sell as many phones and bluetooth headphones every year. I use the google now launcher android 4.4 version and it still works flawlessly even with android 11 on my pixel 4a 5g. I still use the 3 button navigation since I hate gesture navigation since it's so confusing. If sony made an android tablet version of the sony xperia 1 v with a 4k 120 hz display, prefer mini led or micro led instead of oled for no burn in issues that plague oled, 512gb storage, 16gb ram, micro sd card slot, headphone jack, water resistant, full dual sim physical sim slots, no e-sim at all, full 5g support with mm wave 5g, 1,000 nits even though 2,000 nits would be better since 1,000 nits is still not bright enough, 10,000 mah with 120 watt fast charging with h.s. power control like the sony phones to charge the tablet from the wall adapter instead of charging the battery itself to prolong the battery health, split the battery with 5,000 mah for each battery like some gaming android phones with 2 batteries that have 3,000 mah in each battery for 6,000 mah. The sony android tablet I describe would be something I would definitely be interested in.
@@Famous_Mist The headphone jacks and micro usb ports have been around since some flip phones like from samsung and lg even before smartphones became popular. Now usb c is the new universal standard. Vinly records and turntables are still being made even surpassing cd sales and vinly and analog is retro and vintage are still being used even though they are niche. Even dvds are still being made and sold and have been around the 90s. Streaming is just rental services similar to digital since they involve licensing fees and not owning anything when no payments are being made from streaming services. Sony is even requiring pc gamers to have a psn account to play hell divers 2. The newer terms and conditions already have force arbitration unless the consumers still make payments after the sale and the payments have been made. The modern era is full of disposable e-waste like bluetooth earbuds and headphones with non user removable batteries and non user replaceable batteries that constantly have to be thrown away instead of lasting long term like it used to be with older products that were made with longevity and reliability for the long term. As well as rentals fees and soon to be ala carte for products and streaming services instead of applying to food by nickel and diming the consumers since the large majority of corporations are already doing it.
Excellent review. Just bought one on Amazon for 240 Euros minus the Keyboard (Have a Bluetooth K I can use.). Main attraction for me is the dual sim and good 3.6k resolution. plus excellent sound. Great value for money.
Sent the t20 back and got the t30 pro! Love your reviews and how in-depth they are... The g99 is still a good well around chip... I plan to remote play my Xbox series x with it and do some light editing... Appreciate the work you put in! 🫡💯
I've looked at a few reviews on this tab and so far, very convincing. I'll be pulling the trigger on this one based on his review. Mr Williams is the DEFINITIVE review in my opinion. I've bought many devices based on his reviews. He's never steered me wrong. That said, I've a question but if it's a seemingly dumb one, don't crucify me 😂. Ok, I just want to know if I can use it solely on wifi? I'll be starting school again and I don't want to use it for phone calls.
If im gonna buy it it's gonna be my first tablet, is it worth it? Need it for studying, some gaming (streaming games from my PC) and MAYBE some drawing.
You haven't opened the back support properly!!! There's an inbuilt fold in the hinge that locks the screen angle prop solidly - check out the box for the diagram. It's a brilliant idea.
I have this tablet. It's a good price-performance product. The screen and speakers are pretty good. One major disadvantage for me is the absence of Palm Rejection technology. You can't take notes on this tablet and rest your Palm on the screen at the same time. I have the active stylus but once my hand touches the screen it stops writing. I would say it's a good choice for watching stuff and surfing the internet but not the best choice for students like me who use tablets mainly for college.
I have just ordered this direct from Doogee, not really sure what to expect but it worked out at £194 so it's not really a risk at such a cheap almost giveaway price, I will be Interested to see what its like as its for my 10 year old daughter.
Very impressed with this tablet. I'd given up on finding a good tablet that can get LTE in the US. I'd settled on the much cheaper and more budget Umidigi Tablet. That proved underwhelming and the LTE unreliable at times. Gave up and just bought a WiFi only Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2. It has a better display than this, but I truthfully would have bought this over that for the LTE and especially the headphone jack, which the Lenovo doesn't have. I hope Doogee stays in the tablet game. I may hit them up next time.
For anyone in the USA that ordered this tablet, did you receive a charger that will not work with USA outlets? The charger that was included in the tablet I received doesn't fit power outlets in the USA so I can't charge the tablet. Just wondering if this is a common problem. Doesn't make sense since my address indicated I'm in the USA. Between this and not receiving the stylus pen, I don't feel confident with Doogee.
FYI....I ordered this tablet in Mid June and it was delivered in early July. It does not include the pen even though the product description states the pen is included. Again the PEN is NOT INCLUDED!!! Read the reviews on the site and you will see other buyers stating they did not receive the pen.
This tablet is a perfect example of why Amazon kills every android tablet at the budget end. Fire tabs will receive at least 5 years of security patches and software support. This tablet will not see support beyond three months, at best.

It's called evolution. By your standard we still be using Nokia 9310.

Hi, thanks for this video about doogee T30pro, does this tablet have double tap to turn screen on and off?, thanks.
Thanks Mr J. Williams great review. Available here in Europe in July, hope my photos make me look as good as you. All the best.

Hey J!
How would you compare this to a Galaxy S6? Step up? Lateral move?
How do you find the brightness on this -- the quoted 'nits' seem very low and I'm not sure whether that would annoy me or not?
If im gonna buy it it's gonna be my first tablet, is it worth it? Need it for studying, some gaming (streaming games from my PC) and MAYBE some drawing.

Greetings Mr. Williams,
Which online store did you purchase the tablet with the magnetic keyboard and stylus pen?
Pretty decent value!
I'm eyeing the Doogee T30 Pro with the Helio G99 processor. Can you share your experience with its performance and speed?
I have this tablet. It's a good price-performance product. The screen and speakers are pretty good. One major disadvantage for me is the absence of Palm Rejection technology. Great review J. Liked and subscribed.
How many android OS updates & security patches do you get?
Probably 3 months.
I have just ordered this direct from Doogee, not really sure what to expect but it worked out at £194 so it's not really a risk at such a cheap almost giveaway price, I will be Interested to see what its like as its for my 10 year old daughter.
can it take a sim card for wireless data
😮 Great to see it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack as I hate rechargeable ear buds.
It costs about US$320 in the Philippines.
Netflix, Prime and HBO are in FHD? L1 Certificate?
Yes it's L1 certificate
Williams can this tablet be used in the vertical orientation?

Awesome tablet❤
Does the active stylus have palm rejection?
How did you manage to buy this tablet? 😱😱😱😎

You can use other charger blocks, you don't have to use the one that came with the tablet
Doogee tablets are getting popular with time and honestly, they should look to use Mediatek 5G processors as well in the devices.
Nice I need try out there products one day
FYI....I ordered this tablet in Mid June and it was delivered in early July. It does not include the pen even though the product description states the pen is included. Again the PEN is NOT INCLUDED!!! Read the reviews on the site and you will see other buyers stating they did not receive the pen.
Therefore, this tablet ought to be useful for gamers as well. The effect is given by the Helio G99 CPU.
This tablet is a perfect example of why Amazon kills every android tablet at the budget end. Fire tabs will receive at least 5 years of security patches and software support. This tablet will not see support beyond three months, at best.
The thing is, with these tablets, you'll be lucky if you get 6 months of software updates.
what do you mean? and is it a bad thing?
@xaxaxaksaksaksa1493 Of course, it's a bad thing. You really need the security updates..
There is a reason they are as cheap as chips!!
Mine came without a pen.
