Great examples of competitive Bowser play are in this video. Some notes and clarification on interactions mentioned in the video (no particular order):
    - Jab intangibility is helpful but not the sole reason for beating projectiles. Other characters with no intangibility on their jab can still use them in a similar manner though it may be more difficult.
    - Jab 1 to Klaw is still only +1 and Klaw comes out on frame 6, so the opponent has 5 frames to perform an action. This includes spot dodge & rolls (frame 4), jump (frame 3), or even a jab since most characters have fast enough jabs.
    - Mashing B on aerial Up-B recovery doesn't really increase your horizontal recovery distance, though it might alter your trajectory to be more direct. Because of this, getting the farthest possible horizontal recovery should be the same as aiming for the farthest vertical (diagonal) recovery and drifting the rest of the way.
    - FTilt still does less overall damage than DTilt, so that is at least one thing DTilt does better.
    - Reverse UTilt on shield only outspaces shield grabs. Depending on the opponent, there may be enough time to jump OoS and punish with something else. Bowsers should keep this in mind when using reverse UTilt to shield poke.
    - UTilt combos tend to be character specific. The specifics of which characters are susceptible is still yet to be compiled.
    - FAir follow-ups into grab, side B, and FTilt can also be situational, though it's much easier to get a grab or side B. Need to watch for DI and character size/weight/gravity.
    - DAir as a landing tool in Bowser's kit is primarily for mix-ups. In that sense it is an essential tool, but new and returning players should know not to use it freely.
    - UThrow combos are dependent on the character and can extend to even mid % vs fast-fallers. On fast-fallers, if they DI away, UThrow -> FAir can even kill confirm.
    - Grounded Down-B spiking large characters after shielding a ledge get-up attack is not universal. KingKong has a list that exempts Dedede, for instance. KingKong's list includes: DK, Samus, Dark Samus, Jigglypuff, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina (must not hit Luma), Ridley, King K. Rool
^Please keep in mind that stale moves will affect all hits of Down-B, sometimes preventing the move from properly comboing into the spike hitbox, or comboing at all. This shouldn't happen in normal gameplay since Down-B is very situational.

Anywhere from 0-40 on many characters up throw combos into up b. If they’re at 0 it will take them to 36.6 if you get all hits and it should be a 21 hit combo. Also when they’re at 0, up tilt right next to them and then spam it, the second and third up tilt will be a combo, not the first, but the first is necessary to place opponent in exact right position for the combo to work. Also, get opponent to around 20%. Land on them with an up air and it will combo into another up air. I also found that when I got some random (and INCREDIBLY specific) spacing, I was able to combo from landing up air to landing up air at 0. landing up air also combos into up tilt at some percents for some characters.

I thought this video was super helpful since I just found out I love playing as bowser, and I disagree with a lot of these "speak louder" comments. If you were giving a scientific seminar in some auditorium sure it'd be good to speak up, but not everyone on youtube needs to be shouting like they're at a concert. Your volume made this very easy to listen to, good work on this man.

I gotta say this was probably one of the best guide videos I've seen. As a bowser main and a somewhat new player to smash (started in brawl, but only took it seriously in ssb4) I am always looking for ways to improve. The video was very smooth and had a calm and laid back aesthetic.
My only criticism is to maybe speak a little closer to the mic and with a bit more confidence. You don't need to go overboard with the tone, but it would help if you could speak louder.
Other than that, great video and I hope you make more in the future.

Oooh that’s how you recover with up b. I didn’t know you could mash, so I was surprised how far competitive Bowsers can recover. Also is there any button mashing involved after grabbing with side b? Like do you need to press a button when you land for extra damage/knockback?
Edit: oh wow you’re TGStatic! I didn’t realize. The first competitive Bowser gameplay I saw was you against an Inkling on VGBootCamp, and now every time I want to look at competitive Bowser play, I look up your fights. Glad to listen to tips from the man himself, keep up the great work! 👍

Sometimes while recovering, I like to limit the height at which I recover with Bowser. If you press up-B twice in a row while recovering, you gain basically no height at all (while mashing later into the animation can still help carry distance). Somewhat situational, but it's another way to mix up your recovery. On that note, I also find it is sometimes worth it to recover high instead of low, especially against characters with large vertical hitboxes on aerials, who can just wait for Bowser while hanging from the ledge (such as Marth, Ridley, etc) as well as opponents who like to try and spike Bowser during low recoveries, which he is fairly vulnerable to due to his up-B's lack of disjoint. Incredibly dangerous when dealing with the likes of Ivysaur.
If you decide to expand on this guide at any point, I'm interested if you have any further input on how to recover smartly and how to deal with edgeguards, beyond how to optimize travel-distance.

Good video, picked up a couple new tricks with this. Most people seem to ignore the up hit on his grounded down special and dismiss his down air entirely because you can't break out of it to recover if you go offstage. Only complaint is you either need to increase your own volume or lower the commentators' in one section... made it hard to follow what you were saying.

His moveset has more intricacies than I expected. I didn't even know about mashing up-b.

You take a ton of small hits as Bowser and you hit your opponent about 3-4 times and get up to the same damage level
