Auston is worried his moustache might get rearranged if his face is smashed in, and Marner is pouting that Nylander will make more than him next season!

100% sell, even Matthews. Every single star they have is a one way, one dimensional, stat padding floater. Especially Auston Matthews. Tons of goals and points against Anaheim, but NEVER a single point in a tough game. I would take 1 Nathan MacKinnon over 3 Auston Matthews when it comes to winning. I know it's popular to call for a coaching change when a team is losing but what more can Keefe do? He's tried it all and it hasn't worked. This team can't play within a structure under this coach. It's year 5 of Keefe, which is an eternity in pro sport. So let's go MLSE, do what you need to do and let's move forward. And while you're at it, take a good look at your president cuz it's 10 friggin years and you've won 1 round.
It is not a good sign that Nylander gets called out by Keefe just days after his upper crust deal... I'm hoping reversion to the mean has not shown up so fast.
Mr Friedman, you're going to have to be more careful with pronunciation of names (i know i'm one to talk - they sound the same but they're spelled different) however, to not get confused between Gauthier and Gaucher. Anaheim has both, and in fact, Gaucher was a Memorial Cup winner and 2 x U20 Gold medal winner that apparently some teams have forgotten about???
The Leafs had $60 million worth of guys on the ice with the empty net, and didn't get a shot on goal. Look... I'm a Wings fan, so I'm quite happy the good guys went in and won a game that started about an hour after their plane landed. That's a huge character win for the boys. But for the bigger question, I can't say whether the Leafs *should* be buyers at the deadline, but if they do? They currently have $35k in cap space. Granted, this number will change as the deadline approaches, but it'll be interesting to see which player is kicked off the island. I don't doubt the Leafs will make it, but will they make it past the first round again? My personal view is, the Leafs should really.re-tool and figure out their whole situation. When you look at that Leafs roster, look at the guys they have, they should be last-year-Bruins level of good right now. Such a high-powered, high-salary cast of characters, but they get teams they should be beating and just flubbing it. Last night's loss can't be blamed on Samsonov. He made some amazing saves. Meanwhile, the Leafs simply didn't take advantage of enough of their chances. They made 2023-2024 Reimer look like 2012-2013 Reimer. So, if they're serious about winning a cup with their core, that front office needs to make some decisions. This season? If there's not a real change of direction in the room, the Leafs are heading for another first round exit... only this time, the series might not even get to seven games.
As a disappointed leaf fan "who's not delusional" knows that the leafs are far from contending they had one serious season and they blew a 3-0 series lead to Montreal...that's the same core pretty much same personal...I said after that year alot has to change ...coaching being one ...and here we are

I don't really understand this. The core are playing exceptional this year. Blame their contracts and management if you want but these guys are doing exactly what you are paying them for. This team is losing consistently in big spots because they don't have the depth neeeded to ice a competitive team for 60 minutes a night. The guys are playing well when we need them to but hockey is a 23 man game. Those core players don't care about a cup. They got their money and will get paid regardless of how the team does. As long as the fans continue to pack the building and buy mech, nothing will change
Leafs are built for regular season hockey. Leafs are not built for the much more physical grinding playoffs. Tweaking 1 or 2 players is not going to change the outcome.

Sell trade a bunch of players for draft picks lose games like they are now get good high draft pick and start fresh next year with young players let the young guys play and hire one or 2 physical guys to show them on how to be physical
Bottom line, leafs have to beat Florida , Boston to make it out of the Atlantic. Signing Nylander for all this cap space does not help a team that's already too top heavy in cap spending and lacking good defense and goaltending
Please sell, this team isn't built properly!!!! 3 players making 11.5, and a coach who's bewildered. Pls trade Marner and TJ brodie and bring back some good defensemen and a goalie
Seriously people hate the Leafs with good reason. We gave the players the keys to the Kingdom without winning anything, they show zero heart, they blame the coaches, it’s the refs, etc. wake up and look in the mirror. Nobody except Reilly was willing to take a team friendly deal. AM does nothing against elite competition time and time again. Guy is gonna be the highest paid player and isn’t in the top 10 in scoring. Honestly if this team keeps meandering I hope they just stand pact or even become sellers to show these no heart, overpaid babies that they need to dig deep if they think management should go out to get them help. We have bled the coffers dry and need to reset and rebuild this team with a proper D corp and depth.
Trade Mitch Marner now to free up $5.45 M until end of season and trade for two solid stay at home defensive defensemen and trade Samsonov and Brodie for a solid backup goalie.
@@Oldmanflyfishing What if Buffalo said to Treliving that they would like to trade for Mitch Marner and pay him $13.25 M AAV and they’ll give the Leafs either Dahlin or Power, would Mitch waive his NM clause?

Leafs are 6th in the division in regulation wins just one more regulation win than Ottawa. Compared to the rest of the league they are 25th in regulation wins. Paying half your cap to 4 forwards was, is and always will be a huge mistake going into the playoffs.
Not a Leafs fan but the core is the least impressive I've ever seen insofar as all the intangibles go i.e. character/heart--not a crew that seems to have pride in wearing that jersey--Corporations are really lousy at thinking outside the box but IMO they need a culture change and that starts with upper management

Sell trade a bunch of players for draft picks lose games like they are now get good high draft pick and start fresh next year with young players let the young guys play and hire one or 2 physical guys to show them on how to be physical
Inks not even dry yet on Willys contract and he's already calling it in😅
YES!!! Trade the core get some star not superstar players. Built for the goal up.
Trade Bertuzzi for Holl and Husso or Reimer. Wings get depth forward and Leafs get a D and another goalie.
Sell, come on it’s cup or bust. They should hang on to their picks though
Doing nothing would be the most courageous thing. This team isn't one or even two or three moves away from the top.
No Movement Clause. No trade.
@@scottnewton9060 At least ask
@@Oldmanflyfishing What if Buffalo said to Treliving that they would like to trade for Mitch Marner and pay him $13.25 M AAV and they’ll give the Leafs either Dahlin or Power, would Mitch waive his NM clause?
@@Landis_Grantno he would not.
@Landis_Grant Buffalo will not move Dahlin unless you overpay dearly. You don't want Power. You don't want a 6' 6" dman that won't hit anything and plays like he's 5' 9". This from a sabres fan.
Sell the entire team to Hamilton. Maybe that city could make them win.
The Leafs can’t bring in a hard ass coach like Berube or Sutter, the players are to soft and their feelings would be hurt!
Leafs are 6th in the division in regulation wins just one more regulation win than Ottawa. Compared to the rest of the league they are 25th in regulation wins. Paying half your cap to 4 forwards was, is and always will be a huge mistake going into the playoffs.
Get rid of the pre Madonnas,Matthew's most favorite player all time, get rid of them 4
Fans don’t even get up when they score lol. Sure they make the playoffs but we know what will happen bring the brooms out again
I can't be fan this team anymore
Rebuild
Sell the core. No question. Dubas is not a good gm and his team is garbage. This core will never win a cup guaranteed
Any Leaf fans whose been watching knows this team has zero chance with this core.
Leafs won’t sell. It’s a non-option for the franchise at this point.
Trade kickers wont work becouse guys who only care for money will want to get traded not fare
Leafs need players care
sell, get rid of 1 or 2 the large contracts ( mitch and or JT) now or in off season..... i am not a leafs fan.
No
Marner to Flames for Markstrom and Tanev and a 1st
No Movement Clause. No trade.
@@scottnewton9060ask
Marner isn’t worth that much.
he could wave it noob@@scottnewton9060
hes younger@@jimlangdon1947
Not a Leafs fan but the core is the least impressive I've ever seen insofar as all the intangibles go i.e. character/heart--not a crew that seems to have pride in wearing that jersey--Corporations are really lousy at thinking outside the box but IMO they need a culture change and that starts with upper management
I'm hearing Leafs
Here we go again. Leafs drama. What for?
Year after year we get this crap about a team that never has any chemistry. Same old same old.
when you have half of your cap to four players you will never win
We all see this except the Leafs management..
100% sell Marner. Leafs need a depth player, not an offensive showman.
Was funny watching marner twist and turn and dance in circles just inside the blue line for probably 5-7 seconds just to pass it into a corner and loose it..
…Or fold?
Leafs should sell till JT's contract is up
Roflmfao, wtf? Sell what? No one wants you offering. Buy what? You have no money with the "core" 4 making over half your cap.
Sell
Selllllllll !
Full rebuild.
They don't need a full rebuild. They just need to get rid of 1 or 2 of the big contracts. Tavares should be the first to go if they can't resign him for cheap.
Trade woke liberal Marner
No-Trade Clause. Not happening.
The whole organization is a woke joke. They are owned by the two farthest left corporations in Canada, being Rogers and Scotia bank
the leafs
sell sell sell .. time to rebiuld .. this team is headed south, and falling apart .. shanahan was a great player but he's the worst Pres in the league .. keefe is the worst coach, and MLSE are the worst owners in the league .. therefore the Leafs are not well constructed, terribly put together actually .. the Leafs need everything new from ownership down .. proof is in the pudding, the writing is on the wall .. well, if you want to win in the playoffs that is .. Elliot has no clue, why is he even involved ... never have I heard him offer an original thought or interesting word about hockey .. he's a "broadcaster", he should be doing the weather somewhere
does anyone out side the gta listen to this crapola?
Leafs buyers? Lmao! 😂
Sell your nowhere near a cup contenders
sell
Sell. The team has no heart!
Elliote is not funny....please stop trying to be!
SELL
32 thoughts on 1 team . Getting sick of this pod!
LMFAO should the leafs be selllers? what tf are you talking about?
It's been pretty clear the last three years.. dumbas was spending everything, there's nothing left.
Sell
