  • - Any damage caused during this upgrade might void the warranty.
    - Check the spec from where you purchased the notebook.
    - This video is applied to MSI Stealth 15M Series.
    "Reset EC" is to cut-off the power from the battery to avoid any damage from the short-circle.
    After all the upgrade processes, you need to plug in the AC power adapter to power on the notebook because the battery power is cut-off by "Reset EC".

    I just did this to my brand new laptop and it was a success!!! Went from 16G to 64G of ram needed for video editing in premiere pro. It's lightning fast now. This video was a total lifesaver. You just have to be brave and take off all the factory seals. Thanks!!!!

    **Note** mine had a “factory seal sticker on the back. There is a screw under the sticker that needs to be removed when removing the back panel.

    For the MSI GS65, you had to take out the whole motherboard to upgrade ram and to thermal paste. Least its a little easier now. Good job MSI.

      Looks like it. At least the drive capacity has increased so much we wont need the 2nd drive slot. We can just get 4-8tb M.2 Drive in and no need to worry about space for a long while. :)

    This laptop is horreful, impossible to move under 144hz , it locked on this shit.
    Performance on game are trash , even some game dont run online. Still don't know why.
    And MSI dragon center is an cancer for this laptop. Blue screen often.
    And it come with a montain of shit préinstalled softwares.
    MSI never more!

    • @DominicWatch
      @DominicWatch Год назад

      Performance on games (and I've played doom eternals on high settings around 50-60 FPS) are good though. MSI dragon center is fine and haven't blue screened once. The pre installed software can be uninstalled. Also not much reason to go under 144hz in the first place just use VRR or disable Vsync.
