Fishing for Catfish with Carp Meat? (Bowfish & Jugline Method)

- Today we are fishing for catfish and also going bowfishing with special guest and fellow youtuber Outlaw. We use the bows to first capture some carp and buffalo to then use as bait for setting catfish juglines and also using the leftover fish as fertilizer in the yard.

We crappie fish with floating lights on Lake Martin during the summer. You can limit out some nights in a few hrs.
WOW!!! The little one got big, and is running around.
The canal I fish has got schools of 5ft+ carp. Still makes my day when I see them. The waters usually clear. There's huge ones that look like goldfish. Ones that are crazy rainbow colored when the lights hit them. There are even huge koi, with these long frilly fins in that canal. I caught a walleye which we didn't even know were in that river in 2000. Its a weird place. Its in Nj and it connects 3 major rivers, that have tributaries of most of the freshwater in NJ. I think people have even caught a saltwater fish or two that went up a river.

The bowfishing looked so much fun. I’m with you buffalo is gross. However, it bring back memories of my great grandmother would come to visit. My father would always take her to the grocery store to get Gramps a huge buffalo fish. My Gramps used to go fishing for her own fish but go too old to be out on the boat for more than 30 minutes. Yes, fish is a good fertilizer. My mother uses fish mead oils and after eating oysters I give her the shells. She puts it on top or in the soil.

Nice video. I have a suggestion for your back yard. Maybe try Bermuda grass. It's what most golf courses use on their fairways. It's Hypo - allergenic & takes a licking. I keep mine about 1" high & cut it about every two - three weeks. Water it deep every other day. You can buy a few chunks of sod at Home depot & just break it into pieces & spread them around the yard. Keep them watered & they grow & fill in over time. It's a good grass & low maintenance. Just a thought.

Try some cheap top dressing on the yard. Small level of top soil down first then a small level of sand it'll help the yard come in naturally without going the sod approach.. I work for Lawn Doctor so i know a lil bit . tight lines and green lawns.

As a bowfisher you guys need to find shallow coves. Silty bottoms will attract rough fish. So will flood water if you can find any.

Best gardens i ever grew was using trout or just any fish guts under the plants. It's like steriods and the fish doesn't change the taste if your growing vegetables. Maybe a little helpful tip if OSG grows a garden.

Looks like texoma. Which if that's the case, the smallhead Buffalo are stacked in the shallows eating the algae off of surfaces. They were 8-12 lb and everywhere a few weeks back

Dry spots can always be from mole crickets and a few other little bugs!! Soapy water poured on the dry spots will bring up the mole crickets. They always die

Dued I am now legally disabled. I use to Work as a Driver Supervisor for Allied Waste plus was a Volunteer Firefighter for 21 yrs. There was times when I was a younger man that I was lucky to get 32 hours of sleep a week. What most people don't understand is as a Volunteer Firefighter my gas for running to calls, to weekly and other required training came out of our pockets. I had to work two jobs when I was younger plus my required duties to afford to continue as a volunteer firefighter. I still after all these years still average only 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night.
