- Charlevoix Township Michigan Brand New Firehouse Station 56 Tour
The Charlevoix Township Fire Department in Michigan consists of 3 Engines, 1 Rescue Engine, 3 Tankers, 1 Tower Ladder, 1 Grass Truck, ATV and Snowmobile and some other special units out of 4 Firehouses. About 2 Years Ago the City Fire Department and Township Fire Department Combined Together as 1 Department and the Township Department oversees. The Fire Department was established less then 50 years ago. The Old Firehouse before the new one did not have no plumbing or Toilets so it is a very big change for the Department. They have 1 Paid Firefighter that works at the fire station during the day. as well as 3 Firefighters that work for the Township that can respond. Under them are 22 Volunteers that Respond from Home and Work to Fire Calls. The Department covers Charlevoix Twp, Charlevoix City, Parts of Norwood Twp, Hayes Twp, Eveline Twp, and Marion Twp. The Department does around 300 Calls a Year.
The fire department is currently led by Chief Dan Thorp, Assistant Chief David Christiansen, and department administrator Greg Seese. I would like to Thanks these 3 men for the And hospitality and invite to there New Fire Station! I wish you guys the Best of Luck with your New Station and Stay Safe as Always!

Nice rural station ...
Yes for sure
Congrats to my brothers and sisters on the new house
Forsure! Thanks for the comment
I bet you like not hearing rats walking around up in the ceiling. Many old stations are decrepit and unsanitary. You people deserve the best because on 9/11/2001 first responders proved what you are made of and deserving of the best.
Yup
Glad they finally moved in! Station 53 (Charlevoix City) does all the medical and rescue calls for the area, and station 56 (Charlevoix Township) does all the fire calls for the area. Would you by any chance know if the fire department’s tones happen to trip the siren in downtown Charlevoix? I tried filming it during a call a few years ago but it never sounded when 53 went out
Yes and not sure if they do
To answer your question friend, the siren on station 53 sounds daily at noon and 9:30 pm. They are unaffiliated with any fire call
