Do you know of any places to buy lowering springs for the Sambar? Or dimensions of the springs? Can't seem to find much of anything for the Sambar in general.
Lolol. First, it’s Kevin. Will just reposts my videos in the sambar group 😆 second it’s the iPhone. I switch back and forth for fun, also I just plain forget to invert it. It’s just a setting for front facing camera I need to change to inverted 😂😂
@@OhKeiGarage ops Im sorry Kevin. so Embarrassed. :( Its all good i will not talk about it again :) Love your videos and will keep watching I learn so much
I’ve ordered gen struts from Japan. I also ordered those genuine struts helpers (yellow genuine 🎉) Do you recommend struts hats and bearing to finish? I need to have a good look in there, but removing the grommet plug from under the seat they don’t look too cracked at all! Get new hats in bearing anyway?
Top tip in ur other vid Kevin, those strut helpers u mentioned in another vid will keep things from feeling that ugly ouch noise on ball joints and tie rods,
My Sambar is the newer body style 1999 (31k km) and I'm having issues with a valve tick (is that normal?) and sticky gears. I changed the gear oil in the t-case but no difference in the very sticky gears (all 5 gears). Any advice? I been researching for a while now and am coming up empty.
so the valves may need adjustment but some valve tick is normal, they are not quiet engines. valves need to be adjusted anyways and I have a video on that from a long time ago. very very easy. TT is the same as the KS. and yes the trans is a little wierd due to the shift bushing possibly being worn out. i'd start by replacing the bushing and see if that helps!
@@OhKeiGarage I'll try to find your valve adjustment video. Oh, and today I discovered there were no linkage bushings! lol Been on the hunt all day to find some. Saw some for $30 which seams crazy. I'm going to call G and R on Monday. Any link for the bushings? I am being told from on-line sources they can be found for as little as $3.50 each and that they are the same as many other Subaru's. Hard to pull the trigger without being sure.
Yes the 175R13 Desert Hawk just touches the coil spring at the top of the tire.. Hawks are 24'' strong
Now I know where the fuse box is if I ever get one of these. 😂
Change that "if" to "when"
Dude you are the man. Thanks for the info
Anytime man!
What’s the wheel/tire set up there? Looks great!
Hey man, great vid! I’m up in Canada and my sambar comes on Friday! Do you know if these tires are dot rated? I’d like to buy a set
Yes they are!
Great video and very informative
Unpopular opinion: I totally agree with the wiper blade speed stereotype.. typically the super fast blade users either can't see, or can't drive 😂😂
least im not the only one!
With a lift you run the rusk of shock over-travel where the piston rips out of the shock tube or the mounting eye weld breaks.
this is true! i prefer to lower mine lol

ebay has lowering springs for the sambars. they're greddy springs.
Thanks Will. What model is your camera I will find out how to change default to not inverted :)

@@Melicoy lol no worries man. im still learning too. we can all learn together!
i'd want to be able to put 23 inch tires on mine when and if i can ever get one.
Any info on the engine.
Where to get spares other than Subaru agents.
it's a very subaru specific engine so not a lot of alternatives unless you do a motor swap

Do you have a link to those upgraded replacement cv axles? Or what vehicle they were originally for?
eBay has them. But they’re just the boots. Not the axles themselves
Where to get coilovers to raise the Sambar?
500yenshop.com and search KS4 Sambar. They’ll pop up
What sound bar is the best song Dominion order automatic when you have a disability

I cannot find those rims anywhere! Please help!
Thanks!
Which ones? The 15’s or 13’s?

"Heavenly Sauce" that's all I have to say about that...
heavenly sauce can really ruin an auction grade, stay away from the heavenly sauce lolol
Is it possible to find longer CVs for these so you could do a 4+ inch lift? Are CVs the only thing keeping you from more lift and more tire?
good question! idk if anyone has found a longer cv axle that fits the sambar trans.
M/T stands for mud terrain btw, not Mickey thompsons.
LOL thank you. someone said mickey thompson once and it just stuck, but mud terrain makes more sense
They are engineered to be ''loaded'' so going downward is in it from the factory..lol
which part you talking about, time stamps brother.
