This song is the best and it's true. Beautiful redemption song. Even we can feel disappointed of this world, family, yourself, god... In the end we will find a way and we will be fine sn joined by the final journey. Amazing, rich, happy, hopeful song. Brian is so calm here. Placebo is the prodigal son of XXI century music, next to Bowie, the artists that changed my universe. Thanks for this precious album.

I have been a long time placebo fan since I was a kid. About 11 or 12 years old. I just turned 30. Top five favorite bands, even have a tattoo and shit.
I lost my father last week on Wednesday 3/16 at 2:56am. I also very much had a prodigal son type relationship with my father. I was strung out on drugs for years, ran away, suicide attempts, jail, prison, rehabs, the list goes on.
I wronged him in the worst of ways and worried him sick for years. For the past four years I have been sober. I made amends to my father, we rebuilt our relationship. He not only forgave me, he never even let it cloud his view of me whatsoever. I was very close to him. He was so happy that I didn’t die before him. He was so proud of me and the man I have become…
He was the wisest, kindest, most forgiving man I have ever known. I don’t know if it’s coincidence that this song came out the week after his death. But it literally sounds like my dad is talking to me. This song made me break down pretty hard, as you could imagine...
Dad, I love you, thank you for never giving up on me. I will miss you forever. Nothing will ever be quite the same without you.

This is probably the best placebo album ever. I am absolutely blown away
It's definitely the clever musically but lacks some proper "Tunes" 👌 if you'll excuse the cliché.
Without You I'm Nothing will forever be my favourite Placebo album but all their albums upto and including were good, Battle For The Sun and Loud Like Love have some strong tracks individually but as complete album's they were inconsistent and didn't quite work.
This new album definitely flows very well if you take out Try Better Next Time which is pretty terrible in truth!
I kinda agree, this is their best as an album but not my favorite, is kinda hard personally i think my favorite may be BMM or Meds, which is funny cause when meds came out i only liked Song to say goodbye and post blue, till a few years ago, in 2016 i believe, i listened again after almoist 10 years and fell in love with the album.
Without you I'm nothing (masterpiece) is their best album.

La vedo come te... È un brano veramente raffinato, sia da un punto di vista musicale, sia per quanto riguarda il piano testuale/ concettuale... Del resto l'essere umano senza errori e senza successi, senza pensieri e senza ripensamenti, senza istinto ma anche ragione e presa di coscienza... Cosa sarebbe? Non un altro animale (magari).. piuttosto un automa. E i Placebo hanno sempre rappresentato e celebrato luci e ombre...

I remember listening to Black Eyed a long time ago and thinking, wow, if I ever wanted to run, angry and hopeless, that would be my soundtrack… now comes The Prodigal… so that sweaty, angry man can feel understood and stand up again. Because I’m alive.

I was scared when I heard « Happy Birthday in the Sky » and when Brian said it was the most emotional song in the record because it clearly isn’t
I started to be apprehensive after the last two singles but the album is, by far, their best one since Meds
