+DW's Southern Cooking & BBQ Man, you were digging deep into the back catalog on this one haha! This was one of the first slideshows I made for RUclips when I first started. I should have left much more time between each shot, they seem to fly by too fast. But yes this is an excellent hike with some outstanding views. It's one of the steepest trails I have ever hiked in Virginia, literally on all fours in some spots. I've done that a lot when I've been bushwhacking but its unusual for a "trail." It's been several years since I was on these mountains, but I've been wanting to get back up there and do them again. If you are ever in the area, try to leave time to check it out. Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate all your views and comments. Thanks for your support!

+Smell N Roses Looks to be about 3 sec clips? I usually run 5 sec not really sure whats best, guess it just depends on the subject I do vary time on some shots. Difficult level maybe more than I can handle? but that is some fantastic views, great stuff, old or new!I'll stay tune for your next time up there. Thank's!

DW's Southern Cooking & BBQ Yeah these days I usually run 5 seconds on photo slideshows, that's seems to be about right based on most of the feedback I've received. Sometimes I will let a photo simmer a little longer if its a nice view, while I will cut it back slightly if its just a sign or something not as significant to the "story." I agree though a lot depends on the subject and the mood of the video...but I'm still learning, still experimenting.

+Smell N Roses There is a good trail up Little House now to the south (starting from the saddle) that our Troop actually helped work on. You can still go the way you went, but there is a better way up Little House now. We just went there again this weekend. Great video! You can really see the Jeep trail we came up in your pictures of Little House and the Saddle from Big House. They also illustrate that deep gash down from the Saddle to the north down which a couple of us walked from the Saddle (last year--don't try it!). Go Hokies!

Thanks man, yeah this is a great mountain, or two mountains technically (Big House and Little House). I went there long before I started doing RUclips so I mostly only took photos. I'd love to get back up there sometime in a different season and do it again. Parts of the hike are brutally steep, I was literally on hands and knees climbing parts of the trail up Little House. The climb up Big House is nearly as tough....awesome views from the top of both so well worth the effort and its a lightly visited area.

Man, at 2:18, how did you manage to make it back to a computer to post this? I'd be having 2nd thoughts about returning to "civilization" after that view!

Brave the 3rd stone House Mountain is one of my favorite spots to hike, and its a very rarely visited place so its very common to head out there and never see another hiker...my kind of place!
