I crochet too. Have crocheted for about 25 plus yrs. I was around 25 when I taught myself. It is a great hobby and I'm glad younger people are now taking an interest in the art, because it is an "ART". You take 1 string and make it into a blanket, a hat, stuffed animal, clothes or anything you want. It's MAGIC.
crocheting is incredibly beautiful and I respect all the people that crochet its just so intricate and detailed!
Being able to do those hobbies is fantastic as they are a lost art.

Gardening was my hobby since I was a kid and that has translated well into cooking and baking since i always have fresh ingredients and I can try rarer stuff cheaper because it’s way less expensive to grow it yourself.

Baking and foods in general still hold a special place in my heart, being a foodie and just finding it fun to try out recipes! My other hobbies are stuff like researching random stuff, writing and journaling. I also picked up crochet a few months ago but I'll be honest, I'm still warming up to it. Finding hobbies are always such fun, that's one thing I'm confident about.
I play the flute and piano. Music is awesome because there’s so many instruments, you can play alone or with other people and it’s super fulfilling.
I play violin (and recently picked up piano) and my favourite hobbies are playing music and sharing classical music with my friends. Of course, I look at the child prodigies who practice 40 hours a day or something, but that doesn’t hinder me from enjoying my hobbies.

There is no shame in saying that your hobbies or your special skills are baking and cooking because everyone will love you when you bake and cook for them
i love diamond painting! it's so calming and almost meditative. it really helps me relax since i have severe adhd and anxiety, the repetitive process and simplicity keeps me occupied enough that i don't go into a thought spiral but it's still a quiet activity that results in a piece of art i can enjoy!

I discovered my hobbies in my 30s and all three surprised me. Yoga, plants and photography. Yoga keeps my body active and my mind centered. Photography feeds my creativity and allows me to see beauty everywhere. Plants allow me to slow down and remember things take time. Hobbies are so important for our mental health and I'm glad to see so many people finding their happy spaces. 🥰

I was very insecure about my lack of hobbies after my last relationship tbh. I felt like a boring person since I’m not really into sports, was only listening to a handful of artists at the time, and was a typical kid in the sense of my forms of entertainment were anime and video games. These last few months have been me trying to discover myself, and it’s been amazing! Found out I LOVE going to the gym, music is one of my biggest passions and I love discovering new types of music, psychology and education are topics I wanna be more versed in and cooking is something I do in my spare time! My self discovery has been very rich this year and I’m no longer scared to interact with people because I feel like I HAVE a personality now lol
Relationships take alot of effort and unfortunately they can take more of you then you realize so the fact that you are able to refund your self is an amazing gift. I wish you the best on your journey

I collect stickers and make a sticker-book! It's a fun hobby, and honestly lets me have a book to pass onto my future kids and continue my sticker-book with their generation :) it doubles as a hobby and a memory.
i like drawing (my students discovered this and asked me to draw them their favorite characters lol) and writing! i like writing little stories as detailed as i can, im always in a studio ghibli mindset when i write bc thats the imagery and feel i'd want to give to the reader if they ever read my little stories.

I used to do that when I was younger. But then eventually, I grew up, and it just got super cringey.
If you find it cringey that just means you need new characters and the characters are from your young past. Because we all cringe at our younger selves. You can still do this with new characters and this is not just self entertainment but sometimes this helps you solve the problems in your life or find ways to express yourself from the perspective of another person. For example, one thing I like to do is (even though this isn't exactly the same as putting yourself into a character's shoes) I have Uncle Iroh from Avatar The Last Airbender as a side character in my life. He just chills in my mind and drinks tea. If I ever get too stressed about anything, I turn to Uncle Iroh and get his advice on what to do and have him tell me everything will be ok etc. Hearing it from him does the job idk why.
i always like to imagine i am an author that is thinking ideas about new stories and such. but then i find my stories are always cliche and overused(but i like them). so i always end up keeping to myself.

Not because I wanted to have a conversation with my cats though just because I closed myself off from all humans in my life and so my cats were the ones who practically raised me because of how much time I spent with them so their cat habits kind of rubbed off on me...
But, I mean, to this day I can still purr exactly like a cat (or the human equivalent anyway) for minutes without end and can do perfect meows and at least decent hisses so naturally I'm my mom's go to voice actress any time she's reading something or playing a game where a cat's talking so there's that I guess....

I've been getting a lot of baking videos over the past couple of weeks. I loved baking as a kid and the last time I baked was earlier this year for my birthday. I want to try and bake again. It's one of the few things that gives me comfort.
I also want to crochet again. Maybe try out different yarn and make some plushies.
