I LOVE this idea! I have done some resin work a long time ago - mixing two bottles and pouring into silicone forms. I also really enjoy your choices of background music. I generally turn off the sound when some RUclips videos use the same RUclips "music". Also...I must say it - You sure are your Mama's daughter! So so creative and joyful as you create!
Mikki, I am really enjoying watching you develop this channel from the beginning. You are a very talented artist and watching you work is pure joy. I have a request... would you consider doing a tutorial on the sprite mugs? My kids would LOVE it if I were to make some for them!
Really enjoyed this video, thank you Mikki. My 2 interests... Resin and clay. I don't have a kiln so sometimes I will throw a pot, dry it out and then use epoxy resin (which takes hours or days to cure) to coat the piece and uv resin for detail work.
Hi Mikki. No, I don't have a portfolio. I'm just a hobby potter who has branched out into other areas, which includes using resin with some of the pottery I do. I'm an avid fan of your mum's work, and now yours. I love that these two crafts can be joined to make beautiful pieces. My pieces never turn out as lovely as yours and your mum's.
Another good video, learning lots from you, your enthusiasm is infectious, I watch RUclips videos when pain keeps me awake, but then I want to play but don't, keep experimenting with mixed media. I'm into carving on my thrown pieces as glazing is my nemesis so under glazing carving and transparent is the way to go. Great content Mikki, keep on going x😊
VOC - Volatile organic compounds. They evaporate easily and have low water solubility. Their volatility affects indoor air quality. I adore your music choices.
Hi. I really like how the cups turned out. I work with resin as well as pottery and have combined the two before. I'll definitely be giving this a try. ❤❤❤
My gosh these are absolutely amazing!! I didn’t even know what the resin was when I’ve seen it before. I wish it were safer to use though. Thanks so much for showing us how to do this
I just watched your video. Fascinating! I've never come across combining the two mediums. I have many questions. Perhaps you could do a followup related to clay type, glaze cone # firing. Food safety. Posting links to learn more.
I try and leave all my clay and firing information in my video descriptions. This is b-mix or possibly nara 5 clay, we fired to 5/6. Both those clays are aardvark brand.

Respirator masks and replacement filters are available at Harbor Freight that are very affordable.
Absolutely show stoppers stunning. You’re a very talented lady
Thank you!
Thank you 🌸

Thank you! And I hope your pain levels go down.

I'd love to see your mixed media work! Do you have a portfolio or an instagram to look at?

I agree. I'd love a medium to still get this look, have the same durability but without the hazards.

Thanks for replying@@MikkiHelmer
Can you use these? Dishwasher? Microwave?
Because of the 22k gold they are not microwave safe or dishwasher safe. So use them like any other mug and then hand wash. 😊
@@MikkiHelmer thank you! And thanks for the video and idea. This looks like fun to try.
