I don't know if it's related, but when I reset the map and reinstalled it via a USB 2 port on a different computer, it worked perfectly. I mention this because when I updated the map via USB 3, it started ghosting, and the calibration was stuck on the first dot, continuously resetting
I have just ordered on of these replacement screens. Do we know if these last longer than the original oem ones? I hope so. I am on my third unit and sick of replacing them.
I’m on Navigator V and my screen has become unresponsive. Recently bought a Connect Ride Cradle, works better than a Garmin Navigator. I’m on a 2017 K53 BTW.
Since March 2022 my biker1250gsa with new navigator6, first one ghosted 3 months later, went to BMW got a new one. Second navigator ghosted oktober again 3-4 months later, went to bmw, got a new unsealed new one. Because bije season was over, I kept in box unsealed until May 2023, today, after 3-4 months later, again ghosted, 3rd one!!! Now I dont have warranty anymore and have to use it like this. Crap navigator crap garmin, dont buy.
Can’t see your screen. Which you already know. My third one same thing. My bike is garage kept. The Garmin sees no more weather than my iPhone which is much more exposed.
Had the Nav 5 on my old XR 65000KM+ no issues, Nav 6 on the new XR, goes haywire after 3000km. Luckily the TFT is just as functional as the gps, especially with connected ride app, but I do miss features like GPS speed, being able to see where I'm going, being able to set a destination whilst on the go, like a nearby petrol station when my tank is low. Just updated firmware on the nav 6, will give it a good clean too, but if no dice it's going to go sit in the bin at my dealer while they wait for 20+ new units to arrive.

I'm on my second one, same issue. Just happens all of the sudden. I just emailed Garmin to see if they'll replace this one.

I just cleaned the screen and then it stopped ghosting. It was dirty.
At first then it will go back more often and starts to be out of control even when clean
Why wouldn’t you just send it back for repair?
Not “almost any motorcycle GPS”. My Nav V has 100k miles on it and works flawlessly.
