I just did the change and it did not get fixed. Now it is asking to select location or switching off, but there is no response in the display. So screen seems to be working, but no touch response. What happens in video at 5:20? It's not responsive there either. How you recover from that? Thanks otherwise for the excellent video.

Just cleaned the contact Pins with lens cleaner swipes that has alcohol. works fine now.

i can clearly see a quality difference between the OEM lcd and the replacement, is it always so bad? On the replacement screen colors look washed out and when not lit you can clearly see the grey panel opposed to the better OEM
As far I know are no copies screen on the market for this model. Try the menu settings and adjust brightness.
Very good and usefull demo. Hard to find a spare screen. Any tips?

I have a problem with my navigator GARMIN VI. After few hours of using it, the screen starts changing position of the motorbike and no longer receives command by touching the screen.
Then, I turn it off for a few hours and it starts working again until it warms up again and the same problem occurs.
Does it depend on the screen ?

Hello If you try to calibrate it and is still doing the same, you need to replace the touch screen.

No the screens are different connectors different shape, and the design on VI is really bad to many problems

La pantalla no tiene ningún problema. Es un fallo de software. Con la última actualización parece que se ha corregido. De hecho yo ya lo daba por perdido y desde hace unas semanas, en que lo actualicé, no me ha vuelto a fallar.
CLEAN the contact pins. Problem solved!
