Yup, but for me it cost me $250 once already to get a rim repaired. But yeah you are probably very close. I found the “or made” the justification in my head. lol.

Evbase rim protector does NOT protect the rim when to hit the curb. Even at slow wheel turning movement the plastic rim protector piece broke off and rim scraped.
I was thinking about doing a video where I purposely put it to the test. Its hard for me to purposely try to damage something so I'll see. I do currently have a scratch on one and underneath the rim is fine. I don't remember the incident that would have caused this so not sure how bad of an incident it was. I will update if If have a true rim rash incident.
