Do you think studying in Australia is the easy pathway to PR? Maybe yes maybe not. As an international student in Australia there are many ways to get permanent residency including through Masters or Bachelors degree in Australia.
But here are some realities of studying in Australia that no one tells you about, even education consultants and immigration agents do not tell you these pros and cons about studying in Australia.

I guess those who want to go study in Australia, should keep their goal in mind. If PR comes, it comes.. If not, they have a degree they can use anywhere else in the world.
True 🌟
😂50/50 chance 😂 no mate , they spent lots of money , they get the privilege to earn something back in return , if they felt homesick they can go back home , if they like to live in Australia they should be granted PR without dramas !
@@manahilalqassab1235 They’ll be getting visa to work for some years (if they are eligible) but not guaranteed a PR
If my subject is not on PR list then what should i do after completing my Master’s ( Subject Supply Chain Management)
Simple baat agar chu*****ya katvana hai aus a jayo.
I agree with that, it takes time and procedures to follow before taking the correct path towards PR. What I have seen in Australia that many people changed their career and or degrees in order to meet PR requirements. Even changing locations as well. It’s a time consuming process any where from 4 years to 10. As far as I know
I will consider it as a very underrated channel. You explained everything very beautifully. Thanks 👍🏼
Thanks a ton. Means a lot 😋

Hello from HK, it‘s so lovely to have your personal experience shared! I was wondering why the agents gave such a guarantee on getting a PR after studying in Australia…
It’s so grateful that finally someone on the RUclips telling everyone the truth!

Thank you for this video! I'm from South America and I'm planning to start my second graduation in Australia. I'm now 54. I recently became widower and decided to start over again in there. Except I'm taking my 2 teenagers kids with me, one will be in high school and my 17year daughter has Down syndrome. I know I'll face several challenges because of my age and because of her. But you truly put things under a new perspective for me. Thanks again. wish you all the best in your life in Canada 😊
All the best to you! I am sure you abd your 2 kids will have the best of time in Australia. This country is very inclusive, your daughter would be warmly welcomed everywhere.
And thank you 🥰
Very informative. Thank you for sharing

@@Whatsnextakanksha would you be staying in Canada for good?
Something Akanksha, you have not mentioned in the vlog. I thought I should point out. Any university degree is very local in nature. If you have a degree from Canada, you cannot automatically expect that is very well accepted in Australia or vice versa. So you are now staying Canada probably should think about getting a useful degree or certificate from Canada. You will get domestic student rates now. U of T or waterloo will go a long way.
Most informative video on Australian PR!! Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏
You are most welcome
Very informative thank you

Hello Akanksha, I have seen so many videos on this topic but that was one of the best videos because it came from personal experience and you speak from heart. Keep up the good job

I have lived in Australia for 6 years. And I have my permanent residence, but anyone coming from India to study here I would suggest them not to come here to study. Rather, directly apply for a permanent resident. Try to get your profile ready within India. You don't have to come here and spend all your money. And try to get PR because you only get 5 extra points. When you study from here, those 5 points can be recovered. If you can show work experience from India which you can show while preparing to come here. Go do your ielts and skills assessment in India. It's very easy. Don't spend your parents's hard and money.
I agree with you
I was thinking to do masters in Australia i just got finished my bachelor in india. So what should i do ? According to yout experience
Yes does it worth it to come in Australia to do a master ?
This is so informative and realistic. I swear the delusion of opting to study and getting PR is so easily conveyed. I am thinking for MBA in finance but really skeptical about the opportunities and managing expenses. I feel it's much better to continue in India work n then seek a job opportunity abroad.
Thanks! Studying abroad is actually a very amazing experience but what I want to share is not to come with unrealistic expectations. I loved my time studying abroad but if I had better guidance I would have made better decisions
I wish best of luck to all the students who are going to pursue their masters in Australia, being someone whose visa recently got rejected in December surely feels happy to see other fellow students achieving their dream goals 🙂

Can you make a video on the whole process of choosing a course, roadmap to PR with like whole research needed and all?
That’s one video I’ll surely make. Look out for it :)
I've taken Masters in marketing 🙁 and im going to australia in feb 24.
your video gave me lot of concern. not considering Pr at the moment but atleast 5-6 years in australia to gain exposure and experience
hi im looking to go for the same course in june 24. which uni did you get into?
Hey don’t be disheartened, I am just sharing some facts that people learn the hard way. You are more well-aware of things now so you can take decisions based on that. If you are seeking work experience, you may be able to get it after studies. It’s not that big of a deal.
hi, looking for the same degree. which college you are going for?
Thankyou so much please do make more such videos on Australia!
I wanted to ask whether apart from everything else does the education in Australia is worth it ?
Absolutely! More such videos will be coming in and based on my experience, it is worth it.
Eye opening
Hey I watch all of your YT videos. I genuinely think you are an extremely talented person but what i see from your view is very low in terms of quality. I think your videos are quite high in quality as a viewer. I want to suggest you something if you don’t mind. I feel if you speak in Hindi then you would get better reach and get a quick boost up to your Chanel. As a south continental viewer your target Audiences are from India,Pakistan,Bangladesh,Nepal,Sri Lanka whom do know Hindi language. I know you are Bengali. I am also a bengali. I know most bengal people do know how to speak in Hindi. That would be my suggestion. Moreover, please make more reels. As it is a great way these days to connect more with audience. Don’t mind. As a viewer am just suggesting nothing else. I wish you all the very best for your future. Keep growing and keep up the good work.❤

Thanks for the insight. Much awaited to know these things. 🫡🤝

Thanks for the video, Quick Question: If I've done my Master's in Project Management and doing customer Service and Operation Analyst job at a Bank will this be considered a positive assessment?
Depends if you duties+studies match with the nominated occupation’s task list
Masters degree by coursework gives 15 points and by research gives 20 points also if your education is 2 year you get 5 points. So it definitely adds weight for PR skill assessment is a different thing altogether.
Yes but those degrees do not need to be Australian. Any country’s are relevant and fetch you 15,20 points. Only if you are studying from Australia you get an additional 5 points.
@@Whatsnextakanksha Thanks !!! I just wanted to ask you is there a 491 visa pathway for accountant . I did my mpa from university of Western Australia and my current points are 95 . So would a 491 visa help me get pr in Australia ?
Check “accountant” occupation in Skilled Occupation list and see if 491 is available

hello, great video. I want to know whether forensic psychologists are in demand in Australia and are PR offered to international students from this course

Hi Akansha, For visa related, isnt there a second way to get it. like u working for a company and ur performance there was amazing that they are willing to provide you visa for it?
Yeah that is a different stream called Employers Sponsored Visa
So if I'm looking for masters in clinical psychology, is it a recognised field there? Secondly, how hard is getting a part time job
Hi, I've been planning on studying software engineering in Australia. I was wondering if I could apply for software engineering related internships after my first year of studies to get relevant work experience.
Also basic part-time jobs apparently make 36k Australian dollars a year according to Google, is that true and achievable by someone who is studying there?
You can always apply but whether you get accepted or not is totally dependent on the employer. Try it.
Min wage in Australia is $26 average and you get to work 40hrs per fortnight. So do the math :)
If I study AI, I can still apply for PR as AI/ML engineer or developer basically falls into the category of software developer or developer programmer right? Or am I missing something?
For sure you can. What I meant was an example that there is no specific occupation named “AI” so you need to see what occupation your education and work experience falls under
@@Whatsnextakanksha got it. But a bit tricky right.
@@the.sreehari yep for sure
hello mam , i just checked skilled occupation list of Aus and Nz ; there are many job roles for software developers but not for any researcher in AI ML field , should drop y plan to go Australia because of this as I'm aiming for PR as well ?
If you can match the task description of an occupation in the list with your work experience and degree i.e. you can prove that you are skilled in the occupation, you will be able to apply.
Job title or degree title is not that important to match.
It is harder now to get a student visa! As of March 23 2004, the revised GT (genuine student) requirement will be strictly implemented. You are to prove and sign a declaration of your true intention of coming to Australia as a student! One question is " Do you intend to stay and look for a job after you graduate from your studies or are you going back home?". Many foreign student has been caught in the past by foreign affairs over staying, working illegally, disappearing, marrying Australian to get permanent residency! This is the reason for this changes!
Yes of course. You have to abide by the rules and genuinely want to study and not just use study pathway as a means to get PR eventually. Illegally working and contractual marriages are NOT OKAY.
so how should I answer this question " Do you intend to stay and look for a job after you graduate from your studies or are you going back home?". to get the visa?
thank you
If i study data science from a top 200 university in qs world university ranking from Australia (Australia has around 9-10 universities in top 200 universities of qs world university ranking) am i ahead of others mean is pr , job is easier for me
Not really. They value experience more than your graduating university
Hi, did you do your bachelors or Masters? and about marketing - how's the overall demand and job prospect for it in Australia? TIA
I did masters. And you can check the job prospect by checking the volume of job opportunities in your field advertised on Linkedin and/or Seek
Does ranking of University matters in Australia? a lot of people have told me that, no matter what the level of University is, the quality of education remains same and employers do not see the University brand on CV's.
I am confused between ANU and Wollongong for Project Management masters degree.
That’s right. Which university you have graduated from is not important. Everything is at the same level.
Hello ma'am, i have received an offer letter from UWA for business analytics. I am planning for IELTS exam. I am someone who wants to study her masters in Australia, but is scared of the spiders and deadly animals. Do you have any advice for me?
Hey! You don’t find them that often in cities but even if you do, you get used to it. Spiders are not that scary in real and other animals are kind of cute
I want to study abroad but i am so confused about which country i choose. Plz someone suggest me which country has best visa approval rate
Hey Sis, I will be going to Macquarie University for Bachelor in Actuarial Studies. So do you have any info about this course at MQ?
Unfortunately not 😢
The hard truth is that Australia is currently facing property rental crisis and job shortage. Casual jobs have been fulfilled by many students constantly coming in creating also a lack of availability in rental property.
Why is nobody saying this?
I understand your point of view and I would feel the same way if I was a citizen of that country.
I truly love Australia and its people but I can only share my personal experiences.
Australians miss out on places in our own universities due to foreign students because universities favour those students because they pay for courses upfront 💰
Australia wants students to pay, study and return to their country. We do not need more immigration and higher population. Standards of living is falling so fast here now. No jobs, no wage increases, housing shortages and unaffordabilty, increased cost of living...
Grass is always greener on the other side.
@@multioptioned yes, study visa should be just that. Australia is currently in housing crisis and the govt is starting to recognise that, the outrge at how they have handled immigration is enormous amongst citizens and the govt has to react now. I think stand by for even more severe visa restrictions, some countries may even be crossed off the list completely. Apparently the govt is starting to refuse even tourist or visitor visas from countries like India.
@ian7033-qj9wg Yes, Australia currently has over 700,000 international students in 2024. Whilst that is slightly lower than pre covid years, it still provides $6b to universities in fees. Education is Australia's 4th largest export earner.
I will apply to Macquarie University for 2025. Apart from the University tuiton fees, were you able to cover all the other cost of living fees based on the payment you received in your part-time job?
did you get post study work visa if yes in your experience how hard is it to get because my end goal is to study there make enough and more to cover for the education loan that i will take and come back to india
I got the post study work visa yes, it was easy to get but you need to make sure you fulfill all criteria.
Hy akansha.. thanks for this information. I have a work experience in marketing domain.. Im planning to apply for AUS study visa ..have started doing ny reasearch work recently.. could you please guid eme which degree would help me in getting to apply for PR later based on my work experience
Any marketing related degree would be fine.
Hey so there are chances that I score amazing in my masters which cricos approved and it is 2 year course. What are the chances of getting rejected for a study work permit?
If you fail to meet any of the eligibility criteria and/or you broke one of your existing visa conditions on study visa, it can get rejected. It’s rare but it happens.
Can we connect on linkedIn or any other social media I'm planning to apply for Masters in Australia so we can talk regarding the same
Hi Akanksha, I’m planning to study Supply Chain from Australia and it doesn’t come in high demand skill list. I want to study and then later work in Australia itself in Procurement, am I making the right decision?
No. Supply chain course will not land you in getting PR
It’s hard to get PR with that course

The biggest challenge with Australia immigration is that the skills they need changes just like Melbourne weather. Unstable. This makes it hard for prospective immigrants to plan. @ Ab : I’m here in Australia , and I’m considering moving to Canada due to how difficult PR is here. I see how cold it is in some parts of Canada at the moment and I’m worried. How much of a concern is the weather and how does it impact the-quality of life?
Don’t come to Canada bad idea choose Germany
I am in Canada right now and it doesn’t compare to Australia in any sorts. PR is easy of course but I found the quality of life is low.
Any foreign national should consider “PR preferred courses “ or shortage occupation list, otherwise you will suffer 😮😮😮
hi should i go to Canada to study(undergrad nursing) and apply for PR or Australia? which is easier ?
None of the countries are easy anymore. You’ll have to struggle in both now lol

I have been admitted to Macquarie University. Could you tell me about student life there, and are there any opportunities after graduation?
You make your own opportunities. They don’t have placement services like we do in India so you have to find jobs on your own there. All the best.

Can you work in any full time job for 2-3 years and then apply for PR later based on years of residency, filed taxes for so many years based on full time work??
No it doesn’t work that way in Australia unfortunately
@@Whatsnextakanksha well. That’s quite unfortunate really. Because countries in Europe allow you to file permanent residency based on 5 years continuous stay on any work visa.

I got admission for MS in AI and ML from University of Adelaide, what does that mean it won't provide a pathway to PR? I mean, even if I get a job as a developer, am I not eligible for a PR?
Job title doesn’t matter. What matters is the task description of the occupation mentioned in the skilled occupation list.
Eg. you have this degree and your work experience and some units in your degree match with the task description of software developer, you can apply for PR under software developer.

Please guide me..
Once you are out in a different country, you can always find ways to move around. Decide this while you are studying and prepare yourself in advance. All the best!
Hi Guys listen up! The content in the video is helpful and quite useful too. I myself am studying in Australia and there are good courses you can choose from before entering in the country.
Australia offers a plethora of benefits, starting with streamlined university admission processes and efficient student visa procedures. The study pattern in Australia emphasizes a practical approach, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills through interactive lectures, group projects, and hands-on experiences. One of the major advantages is the post-study work permit, allowing international students to gain valuable work experience after completing their studies, which can significantly enhance their career prospects globally.
Starting with a good study abroad consultancy is very important as it is the foundation of your entire journey. I know one of the best consultancies i.e. IDP where they have experts who are good enough to give you the support that is needed.
In addition to the aforementioned benefits, studying in Australia offers access to a vibrant and dynamic academic community, where students can engage with leading scholars and experts in their field. So setup your mind and get going with your opportunities!

Hello, I am applying for MBA in marketing this year and am expecting final offer letter from Group 8 universities. My question is that is there scope after my course in Australia? Is it worth it?
MBA does not provide a direct pathway to PR in Australia. Just research more about it and speak to other students in the field. I’d suggest to join facebook groups for this

No , 10th marks does not make enough difference to post study ...just meet the eligibility criteria for this ..yes , if you get higher marks , that makes your profile stronger in terms of academics
