The fact that CraftVenture is not even mentioned once in the comments surprises me
Same I was like it's literally their build/land just transported to Planet Coaster
i should have mentioned them in the cration description Jonny read out. It was pointed out after the contest results were in that i "stole" the theme / creation from Craftventure. I don't completely disagree, but i didn't 1:1 recreate it. But yeah, i don't think Jonny is very interested in Minecraft, but Craftventure could be worth a visit on this channel :)

Thanks for having a look at it! Im very happy with the outcome and the immersion of the indoor area.
Maybe for clarification: The contest was pretty much "build what attraction you think Alton Towers will build into their secret building". So far, Alton Towers has only announced that there will be a new building, but the theme and attraction type is not yet clear - so Dan made a contest out of that. We were given a premade park file with the big building and a few paths inside.
Ive taken heavy inspiration from a Minecraft theme park, believe it or not, where the build team made an incredible job of creating a functional, fun and very very well themed ride in Minecraft! Ive been itching to use that inspiration for a build, and i took the opportunity as i saw the contest getting announced.
Thanks Dan again for all the work put into the contest - judging 120+ submissions was definitely not easy!
Yeah I looked into it after making this video. Only thing I could find on his channel was a live stream VOD announcing the rules, and I learnt about it there. What confused me was that he never actually made any videos on the 120 submission, or not even the winner (yours in this case).
I suppose he looked at the creations offline or used Discord to vote?

@@Channel5GamingHe looked at all of them offstream/ without recording, then showed the top 20 in one video. The further up on the list he got, the more showcase time the park got. Mine was showed last, this getting basically a full park tour.

@@Channel5Gaming he didn’t spotlighted any submissions but showed off his 20 favourite submissions on a RUclips video. There wasn’t a voting, bear won because dan liked it most. Another (and the only other) member of ch5 got 7th.

If you check the playlists, we did do a "story telling contest" which was comprised of mostly Dark Rides.
This was themed amazingly!!! Somebody call Disney!!!
Underwater at night is possibly the hardest effect to do convincingly, excellent execution of the effect.
So cool ! It reminded me of The Mummy Coaster and Journey to the center of the world coaster and Journey to Atlantis. Amazing storytelling, and a realistic ride. So good !

That was something amazing. Turning a coaster into a dark ride of sorts is something that I have not seen anyone try yet...at least no one outside of Orlando that is. If anyone knows of a coaster that also has a dark ride feel to it, please let me know. I have not been on the new coaster at Epcot yet, so that may have some of these features.
The flying dutchman coaster in Efteling has some darkride part before the coaster. Thats the one i could think of.

Yup. It's an old engine and wasn't designed to make such massive parks. Lets hope the upcoming Park Beyond game does better using the Unreal Engine!
