thanks! perfect timing... my wife asked for my Christmas Wish List and I didn't know about that John Hughes Box Set... which will probably be my second favorite soundtrack album ever
I didn't buy as many box sets this year as I normally do. I only bought 2 box sets and then opted to buy deluxe editions of other releases instead of their respective box set editions. Dio - Holy Diver Super Deluxe (4-CD) and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Live At The Filmore, 1997 (4-CD) were the only 2 box sets I bought this year. I think I like the Dio one a tiny bit more than the Petty one, but both are fantastic. As for Deluxe Editions I bought instead of their box set counterparts, I got: Rush - Moving Pictures (3-CD) ----- Bought it for the live show, which is fantastic. John Cougar Mellencamp - Scarecrow (2-CD) ------ Bought it for the remix of the main album and for the bonus tracks on the 2nd disc consisting of demos, rough mixes, outtakes and B-sides. Didn't need the big book, vinyl, single or Blu-ray too. Hence, I opted for the 2-CD version instead of the Super Deluxe Box set. Same music is in both. Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion I & II (2-CD Deluxe Editions) --------- Super Deluxe Edition was a little too expensive for my taste. Could still get it in the future if the price comes down. As for now, the 2-CD deluxe editions for both albums are good enough, with each 2nd disc having a compilation of some of the live material in the Super Deluxe. I'm still thinking about pulling the trigger on the 2-CD version of Queen - The Miracle, but not until after the New Year. I know I don't want the Super Deluxe Box set. Looking forward to the Elvis On Tour box set (6-CD, 1-Blu-ray) that was supposed to have been released this past November, but it got pushed back until the end of January of next year. Have it on pre-order. So, that will be my first box set purchase of 2023. Also looking forward to the Super Deluxe version of Who's Next. Been saving up for that sucker ever since it was announced. Here's hoping it comes out in the Spring and not pushed back any farther. If it is anything like The Who Sell Out Super Deluxe that was released in 2021, it will be fantastic. (Note: I did buy a couple other box sets in 2022 that were new to me, but they were released in previous years. So, I won't mention what they are.)
They only thing that has kept me from buying the Rush boxsets is there is no unreleased studio material like outtakes, demos, alternate versions, etc. I need more than live to make me buy a box.
I really enjoyed the Eric Burdon with War box set. I know it's vinyl. But it sounds fantastic. Limited of 5500... I do love your list. I have the Tom Petty. And for sure getting Blondie. Thanks.
I can't wait to get to Revolver, I still haven't had a chance to get to it. Could possibly be my #1 Beatles album next to Peppers and Abbey Road...out of those three anyways.
Great reviews! Was hoping the illusion box set may have been purchased, but know you’re not a lover of live albums which make the box set! I’d love to pick up the Kiss one sometime
I purchased the 2 CD editions instead and even though while I like the live content I didn’t really need them. I would have rather they combined the two bonus live discs into one double live album and released it on its own instead of as bonus content. It takes away from how good it is and doesn’t really elevate the Illusion albums.
@@BrendonSnyder agree with you, they don’t enhance the illusion albums, my favourite from those was the live Bad Apples, got the bootleg, but great to hear a clear version and Axl’s raw rasping vocals! But totally get you, they don’t enhance the albums! I’m just a Gn’R geek and needed them 😂🤓
Great review I have the Bowie, Tom Petty, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Kiss & Queen box sets. For me I would add the Asia in Asia box set from their concert from MTV in the early 80’s however John Wetton missing and Greg Lake taking over Lead Vocals kind of hurts the box set.
You literally own EVERYTHING!! 😆 I saw thar Phil Collins box set on this morning's video! Do you have all the Genesis box 📦 sets too? My biggest regret was selling mine when I lost my job years ago. They're hard to get now at a reasonable price anyways. 😕
@Brendon Snyder I had the entire catalog Remixed/Remastered with DVD extras and Audio. Like a dumb ass I sold it while in-between jobs. Had I known it would be so hard to get back I'd have never done it. I did burn most of it to 💿 before I sold it, but it isn't the same. HUGE regret!! I own the entire catalog of original pressings, but those box sets were special. Hopefully they put it back out again one day. 🙏
Great looking boxsets. I'm interested to buy the Dio - Holy Diver boxset, but haven't yet because it's quite pricy (around 80 euros here). Let's hope it doesn't sell out too quick and I might have the chance to get it.
Those are really amazing box sets! 2022 was a good year. Lots of albums released and many concerts.

Wonderful top 10 collection of 2022 box sets
Glad you enjoyed 👍
Some great box releases this year Brendon, a real treat, the Blondie (8CD)and Fleetwood Mac (CDs) are my faves. Thanks for all your content!

Thanks for video; Rush Moving Pictures deluxe box set best for me.

Fantastic summary of some great box sets . I want the kiss , Dio - Blondie ones
All good ones, and recommended. Happy Holidays!
Rush, Supergrass, Robbie Williams, Tom Petty, David Bowie TOY and Divine Symmetry, my favorites. Thanks for the video.

I love Eric Burdon!
Very nice presentation Brendon.Nice box sets
Thank you Thomas! I’m glad you enjoyed it! What was your favorite boxset from this year?
@@BrendonSnyder I'm with you Brendon.I love Queen and the Miracle tops my list also just by a hair over Revolver by The Beatles
The Beatles revolver is my #1 pick this year. The Kiss and Queen are cool as well. The Blondie was excellent also!
I can't wait to get to Revolver, I still haven't had a chance to get to it. Could possibly be my #1 Beatles album next to Peppers and Abbey Road...out of those three anyways.
Great video. Just subscribed, best of luck with your channel.
So tempted to buy that Creatures Of The Night reissue! Some awesome picks as always Brendon. Enjoy 🍻.
slash & miles!!! my personal favorite! thank u sir

Enjoyed the box sets video.
Cool!

I don’t know about “everything”… but I do own all the good stuff! 😂 As for the Genesis boxsets I only own Archive #2.
@Brendon Snyder I had the entire catalog Remixed/Remastered with DVD extras and Audio. Like a dumb ass I sold it while in-between jobs. Just found a place to order the Fleetwood Mac box, set CD edition, which will be delivered later in the month
I’m glad you found one! It’s well worth it IMO.
Tom Petty Box set sounds good. I could be interested in buying it.
Yeah check it out, it may surprise you. For me anything Tom Petty does is good.
Man, the only thing that was missing from that Kiss box was the band itself 😆🤘
Haha…it almost included the proverbial “kitchen sink” didn’t it!
Magnum's 'The Monster Roars' CD box set was superb
👍
I didn’t get a chance to go to record store day, so I’m hoping that that Fleetwood Mac box might be available on CD somewhere
I’m glad to have seen your other comment that you found one.
Queen #1 ...❤💛💙💜
👍
I love your channel, Brendon, but it's costing me money! LOL.
Ain’t that the truth
Haha…it sorry about that! Don’t worry it’s costing me a lot too! 😂😂
Pink Floyd Animals Remix box set #1 😛
Hey Brandon haven't seen any new videos with Anthony from Sound Exchange
Holidays happened.
Спасибо за видео👍.
You’re very welcome!
Great Tom Petty set !
That's a lot of 💲💲💲
Wonder if you have list of worst boxsets top5. Why you don't like them or is it hard to open and something like that?
No I don’t focus on “worst” things because if they’re bad or I don’t like them I don’t own them and I only cover stuff I own and enjoy.
@@BrendonSnyder I'm fine with that 👍
No GN’R? I thought that was going to be your #1 after I saw your #2 pick.
Not a big fan of live material. Since there were no demos included I chose not to spend the money and bought the 2 CD editions instead.
@@BrendonSnyder no Revolver from The Beatles either?
This sucks that I can't turn it off
😂
hate box sets that are oversized and do not fit on the shelf with the rest of the CDs.
