I just got my 2022 GTS last month after going back and forth about whether to get the S Cayenne. I haven’t regretting it for a second. I never use the back seat anyway. I love the perfect balance of seat position and height. It’s just a perfect car.

The GTS variant of any Porsche are always my favorite. From the subtle styling enhancements, to the suspension tweaks and the motor choice it's just a "for sure" thing.
Just drove a 2022 macan s with air suspension. Drives great for what it is. So many others rave about the handling and act like it’s a sports car. It doesn’t drive anywhere near as good as a sports car because it’s over 4000 lbs and high off the ground. For a crossover it probably drives best in class though.
Just took delivery of my smoke grey 22 GTS in May. Love this car and optioned it out heavily. Basically my 911 on stilts. Wonderful steering feel and the perfect blend of horsepower and torque for a street ride. The Haptic touch console is no issue for me and most setting are at the steering wheel, so once you set your auto air,suspension hight and auto off….your done. Looks incredible at night. The deviated stitching option is beautiful btw. Nice review . I might note my wife drives an SQ5. Great vehicle…..no contest. 😊
Love my Audi but Porsche is definitely another level! I also love how little the changes are overtime but still keeps their stuff looking modern. 10 yrs from now that car will still look newish😂 👍🏻. One of my good friends use to have a Panamera that thing was clean 😍

I absolutely love the subtle updates Porsche has made to the 2022 Macan - evolution not revolution. Great video! Love your car reviews, always so informative and enjoyable to watch!!
I live both lives…A Porsche 911 and a Tesla M3…I love having both as we take the Tesla on long road trips here in AZ. Of course having the BMW R1200RT motorcycle is the ultimate ride. My wife is looking for an SUV and the Meccan is one to be considered 😂🎉

As an enthusiast, I thought it was the power that mattered most. EV's have shown me that it is the sound of power that stirs my soul. After five minutes in an EV, I'm bored, and don't care how fast it is.
The Macan GTS is a very well balanced sporty SUV that also has the luxury, my wife got a 21 last year before the face lift and removal of physical buttons. To me it's a bit too luxury lol. Always enjoy your enthusiasm driving a Porsche 👍
Chalk color is the best color. I hope they still offer it in 2 years when I can afford either this or a Cayenne. (Having just gotten rid of my 2004 Cayenne S, I miss it)
Another great review...this is an ultra cool 911 for those wanting more utility. My cousin in San Francisco just bought the Macan S and she loves it. I agree with you and Zack, Andrea - this is the end of an era. The E-Macan will be faster, quieter, more contemporary and emissions-free. Having said all of that...do you think there is a market beyond status symbol for this type of vehicle in North America? Other than going to a track I don't see how you could ever enjoy it's potential. Still, a fantastic car and a great review.
Andrea and Zack - spectacular review as always! I feel like this is the thing for me to go for if not going for a BMW when updating my 10 year old X3 . Porsche might be expensive, but BMW and Mercedes have skyrocketed in price over the past years. I don’t think the difference is as big as it was.

Call me crazy, but I’m actually thinking about trading my 2022 PDK GT4 for a 2023 Macan GTS with all the performance goodies. I’m sure most will say I’m crazy, but let me explain… The GT4 is a 4 wheel strut suspension and with poor PASM damping. I live in CA and it gets so unsettled on anything but perfectly smooth pavement, and that is most roads in CA. It has poor rebound control and the chassis moves around a lot near the limit. Now you compare to the Macan GTS, which is double wishbone front and multilink rear , better PASM damping AND air suspension and I bet it can carry more speed on crappy CA roads and stay more composed doing it than the GT4. On track different story of course , but I live on the street not on the track.
I don’t think you’re crazy at all. Unless you can afford both or have the space for both, the Macan GTS is a much better all around far than your amazing super car. If I could afford both, I’d gladly have a GT4. But like you said, we don’t live on the track. GTS is doing 0-60 is 3.5 seconds and drives comfortably. Can’t beat it as a daily driver.
I am a GLC 63 AMG driver. I have driven them all, but. The GLC for me. I am about to trade in, but I am interested in the Macan GTS and have priced it at about $99k US, that is steep, but the GLC has also increased its cost.
If these vehicles has so much power, why is nobody driving 200 km/h + on the highways. It's a waste there is no public roads to utilize a sports vehicle's full potential. OPP in Ontario with impound you just going 160. Please be safe out there. Awesome Porsche Macan, love this model.
What people don't realize is they may find themselves in a situation where you're wishing your vehicle had more height and capability. That is exactly what happened to me one morning on the way to work where the parkway I use rarely floods. My Q50 barely made it through. While I was hoping my car didn't flood, I was saying to myself my next car will be an suv/cuv.
I agreed with Andrea on the black rims . Make sure you pick the black ones for all the other 3 seasons and yes Vancouver is beautiful. Zack can have the ugly ones in the winter as we are all miserable at that time 😂

You both do a great job and it's always very entertaining and educational. We bought an S and loved it. Then got a white gts and really wasn't a fan of the color but loved the car. I got stupid and sold it and bought a ford bronco badlands soft top. Hmmm a ford over a porsche. It was way to loud and definitely wasn't a porsche lol so now we are selling the bronco and have a 2023 macan gts on order. Sad thing is we can't get it in Miami blue anymore. So we are planning on getting it wrapped in auratium green. Keep up the great work and thank you

Can't really afford a 2022 GTS. What do people think between a 2017-18 Macan GTS and a 2022 GV70 3.5? Love the GV70's great infotainment and amazing audio system (test drove one) but I also love a sporty car. Never been in a Macan.
I really like the style of the reviews you guys do, specially the different segments you have so thanks for that! I’m considering getting a 2022 Macan S or GTS. I currently drive a 2019 Kia Stinger GT2. Overall I’m a sedan person and handling is important to me. I’ve heard this Macan drives like a sedan. Will I feel a compromise in terms if handling if I get S or GTS since it’s a cross over? Definitely I’m not comparing my car to a Porsche, but Is it worth the $50k difference in price?
The Macan is a stunner...what can ya say it is a Porsche. I think it is not a wise choice to switch the Macan to all electric and not offer a gas engine at all. Not only because I want to get one but I think it will hurt them considering the Macan is their top seller in the US.
This is a great Porsche. But really it is just the cute little irritating baby kid brother of the Real Deal… the Cayenne. I only have two concerns, its size (unavoidable) and I’m not so keen on these ‘four-point daytime running lights’. They originally looked super cool, but now I’m tired of them and miss the simplicity, the symmetry?, of just the regular Porsche crisp driver focused headlights (I don’t want to sound like a hypocrite because I absolutely love the benefits of Porsche’s dynamic light system plus (PDLS Plus)). Finally, I’m not a big fan of Carbon Fibre - but that’s just good taste. Thanks for the video! Cheers.
The reduced size and weight is actually why I picked it up over a Cayenne. I already have an Audi SQ8 for the family, i wanted the better daily driving dynamics of the Macan GTS vs the Cayenne. Not to mention it’s less $$…
Nice garage! You are obviously covered … at least space wise. I don’t have that luxury. I need the size (2 tallish 6’ teenagers and a dog). My well used ‘87 Carrera is only for driving … sans enfant. and both other ‘cars’ require a roof rack to travel. I have no SUV. For bigger trips, I absolutely love renting (always interesting, always ‘bigger’ and newer). This is why I’d have the bigger Porsche… the Cayenne. My opinion would be definitely different without the kids and dog. It clearly is a spectacular automobile and the smaller size would have its benefits. Especially in the city. Cheers!

Another way to compromise on the wheels would be to have black on one side and silver on the other, that would keep your neighbours guessing! :) Does the Sport+ effect performance much, it is it mainly just a different sound? Do you know whether the future EV version will be a new dedicated platform, or will it be built on the same basic chassis as the gas version?
Great review once again, guys!My wife and I could never afford a new Macan, even the base version. We looked at a low mileage base 2018. Still 55k +. Would you recommend a low mileage base 4 cylinder Macan over brand new comparable compact crossovers?
Maybe get a Lexus or high trim level mainstream vehicle. It’s a nice car but don’t break ur back for it get something that won’t give u any issues and will be closer to ur budget
I wanna know if Porsche still uses aluminium bolts on the timing cover of the Macan engines. If yes, expect oil leaks several thousands of miles later. Plus the AWD system is problematic. Having money to configure a Macan doesn't stop there. Have money to maintain it. As for driving dynamics it's a great vehicle.
I was going to get one then found out no heads up display, it’s on the new electric at a stupid price. I’m not paying Porsche prices for a car with no hud , it’s 2024 not 2004
Love my 2017 Macan S………and have ordered a 911 Carrera 4. Yes, I do like this brand…..coming from BMW. ( which I still really like ) This is a “caution” comment. Yes Porsche loves their buttons…….and if you have a pet…….ah……..DON’T LET THEM LOOSE IN THE FRONT SEAT !!!!! IF you do, they will put your Porsche in more different modes than Porsche even knows they have……guaranteed ! If it happens while your driving, you’ll going to be in sport mode, exhaust + etc, etc. If your NOT in the car, only god knows…… Just a warning……
Yesterday my 85 year-old mother just ordered her 2023 Porsche Macan. However, I don't see what people's issue is with an EV that literally will run circles around any ICE.

I had always understood that the “S” was the sweet spot in the Macan line up. Especially now that the S has the GTS engine. On a side note, I only see women driving the Macan. Is this basically a soccer mom car?

There is a Macan T, with a 4cyl engine and the base 4 cyl which has more hip than the base from 2021.

The S is the best "deal" in the Porsche lineup and you won't be disappointed

In the reviews I've seen there are little lights constantly flashing while driving---can they be turned off? Those would annoy me.
The human eye cannot see this, it is only the camera that can pick up the lights, no worries...

Another way to compromise on the wheels would be to have black on one side and silver on the other, that would keep your neighbours guessing! :) Does the Sport+ effect performance much, it is it mainly just a different sound? Do you know whether the future EV version will be a new dedicated platform, or will it be built on the same basic chassis as the gas version?

Great review once again, guys!My wife and I could never afford a new Macan, even the base version. We looked at a low mileage base 2018. Still 55k +. Would you recommend a low mileage base 4 cylinder Macan over brand new comparable compact crossovers?
These are very reliable but the maintenance can be high for things like brakes and tires, plus annual service, keep that in mind.

Maybe get a Lexus or high trim level mainstream vehicle. It’s a nice car but don’t break ur back for it get something that won’t give u any issues and will be closer to ur budget

I wanna know if Porsche still uses aluminium bolts on the timing cover of the Macan engines. If yes, expect oil leaks several thousands of miles later. Plus the AWD system is problematic. Having money to configure a Macan doesn't stop there. Have money to maintain it. As for driving dynamics it's a great vehicle.
2019 and newer models have that fixed
I was going to get one then found out no heads up display, it’s on the new electric at a stupid price. I’m not paying Porsche prices for a car with no hud , it’s 2024 not 2004

I had always understood that the “S” was the sweet spot in the Macan line up. Especially now that the S has the GTS engine. On a side note, I only see women driving the Macan. Is this basically a soccer mom car?
