Hi RUclips friends, I published this video earlier today, but some of you pointed out that sound was in Mono. I made mistake: now it is in stereo 😀. Cheers, Gijs

    Heyyy :-)
    Vriendelijke schrijf groet weer! :-)

      He Onno,
      Fijne reacties weer!
      Gijs

To my knowledge they are not. They might not be available in every region, but in The Netherlands they for sure are.

I honestly don't see how goretex has any purpose for hiking shoes. It's such a marketing gimmick. Its primary benefit is for day hikes (maybe), and for walking around town in the rain. Goretex makes it notoriously impossible to dry your shoes once they get wet (and they will eventually), when out hiking for multiple days. I live in northern Sweden and basically only use completely breathable (lots of mesh), uninsulated trail shoes, which are completely NOT waterproof. I use these year round outside of snow seasons. My feet never get hot, sweaty, blisters, hotspots, nothing. My ankles, feet and legs have become stronger by not relying on boot support, and I basically never get injuries from hiking. People have been misguided to think that getting wet feet when hiking is a problem, it's not. You just need shoes with good drainage and don't absorb any water, and have tons of ventilation. I wear thin women's nylon socks (50d), that absorb almost no water). Everyone should try giving up hiking boots and allow their feet to come closer to nature.

If my feet get wet, I will have very cold feet very quickly. My feet never get hot, sweaty, blisters, hot spots nothing. My ankles, feet and legs have always been strong, so no fear of twisting an ankle. I wear Darn Tough socks. There is a time and a place for everything..... If it is a good day I will not wear boots. I do carry a spare pair of socks (waterproof)

@@archie2archie sounds strange that feet can get cold while hiking outside of winter. If sitting still just throw on some warmer socks. But when moving it's unlikely feet should be cold

A not paid for review CASH MONEY CREDITS ETC. ETC.But here is a free pair of boots. I might believe you when you say "honest review" But lets be honest....... If you say these boots are crap, what are the chances of you getting another free pair of boots from Lowa? Zero, that's why NOT PAID for reviews should be taken with more than a pinch of salt.
I like your videos, the waterproofs video is an example to all. But this and videos like it are just shill.

      Hi Archie,
Are you my size? If so: I'll send them to you if you pay the costs for sending. It's not about getting free boots. I would not buy them, but I saw them on a tradeshow and found them interesting for my followers so I asked, they agreed and send them. Normally I would send them back but they don't want me to send them back: they are used. Most stuff I keep, I pay for. Did you see the end of Garmin Instinct video? Do! It would be nice to get some support from you: it takes two days to make a video and more to test. Multiply that by the hours and the money I could make in those hours and I could buy these boots easily. Tenfold. I don't know what the word 'shill' means but I can guess. So your comment... Thanks for the support on the others video's.
Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe!
      Cheers, Gijs

@@OutdoorguruGearReviewsjust ignore. It's irrelevant if someone thinks you're promoting a product. The reality is reviews of boots are generally quite positive because the overall standard of design and manufacture is pretty high. Customers don't expect any product to last forever and so the market is full of products at a range of price points that mostly do what they claim. And that's fine. No need for you or any other reviewer to be a "shill" despite the amount of times this is claimed on every frigging product review video I watch. 👍
