  • Pathology whole slide images contain massive amounts of data (1 image scanned at 40x magnification can be as big as 2h HD movie) but they need to be viewed FAST!
What does that mean? How fast can you view a digital pathology slide?
The speed of viewing must match or exceed the speed of viewing the glass slides under the microscope for digital pathology to be a viable option for diagnostics.
The virtual pathology microscope needs to be as fast as the analog microscope.
Fast whole slide viewing of such big image files has its challenges but they have been already solved.
And in this video Dan Lambert, the CEO of PathologyWatch is talking about the solutions his lab implemented so that you don't have to re-invent them.

If I hear about anything, I will let you know immediately. In the meantime look into the static telepathology and telecytology options. The cost is lower. You can find out more in this video: ruclips.net/video/uaqQq_ZLiUA/видео.html

Usually there are national or international grants that support such initiatives. I don't know about China, but in Europe there are private-public consortia such as BigPicture and other programs.
