if I remember correctly they had major developmental jumps coming from verdun to tannenberg to isonzo. I mean Verdun used to be a browser based game once in their development. The "ultimate edition" idea would be nice, but they're dev team ain't all that big anyways to do more than manage their current game and its progress (tho the game is also quite old now)
@@zehousewife Here's hoping at some point, after they decided that they had enough of making front-focused games (which tbh, I like as it allows them to make very distinct vibes to each of those games), they finally sit down and make a "WW1 Ultimate Game" where they try to add each of those fronts in a single game. That being said I do want a Gallipoli game.
Reading the developer forum posrs Isonzo is a completely different engine and would require him making the other games from scratch, would love a DLC with the orginal maps updated to the new engine though
@williammurphy-zp6nj I've never said they shouldn't, nor have I made any argument you brought up. I simply said "F for the losses of White Friday" I am paying respects to those who died there. Just because I did that doesn't mean I don't care for the lives of others who died this way as well.
Lovely video and great team work. Maaan makes me want to get the game but don't have friends with nearly the same level of coordination. I know for certain that most would just do their own thing with at least one switching to the enemy side to snipe us one by one =_= Only thing I'd point out is that most of the Soška/Izonco front for the most part wasn't fought in the Italian mountains but primarily the Slovene/Austro-Hungarian mountains with only a few later pushes pushing Italy back well into the Italian side. The game you fought was in Volče (Wolf's town) near Tolmin Slovenija. And I think the Church in the beginning on the edge of town was St.Daniels. The larger one in the middle of town is St.Lenat and recently during renovations they found the older church underneath it dating it to the 9th century. (The always assumed one was from that age since the town parish celebrates its 1100 years of existance, but the old documents were destroyed in a fire so they needed archaeological proof which they got now.) Anyway lovely to see that the this front in history isn't fully forgotten. Might not have had a big impact for other nations, but for Slovenes and Italians it was devastating.
We need a game where when one steps on a mine or a artillery piece hits them they turn into a flying cabob pf pieces everywhere. I remember the game Shellshock nam67 and it was super gorey.
You may be wondering why all of the weapons in this game sound like airsoft guns, and that's because they are. The developer went for realism. They believed rifles sounded like air guns and they nailed it!
Why is it a limited game-mode? What a waste of resources. And this would be RIGHT up my alley. But I'm not getting this. I wouldn't be able to even start until this weekend so I'm not going to get into a game for 2 or 3 days lol. The game is probabpy great, and that would just make the situation worse.
It’s all cosmetic, the game, all its modes, maps, and guns are free. The “DLC” is just cosmetic packs to support the small dev team. It’s never a good look when you judge something so quickly and resolutely
Beyond the Wire is better game play than Isonzo, IMO, but the player base is nearly dead. I wish OWI would buy BTW and release it as Squad free DLC to populate such a good game. One can only hope 😬
Check out Isonzo! The The Ultimate Edition is now available on PC, PS4 & 5, and Xbox One and Series X & S bit.ly/4aqnYwn #AD
I hate how these devs don't just make 1 game with a bunch of different fronts. There just splitting up a already nich and small community.
if they made an ultimate edition that would be cool. And offered big discount for people who owned all 3 games.

Also adding moving front lines. Something like a ww1 foxhole.
A tip that might help with close quarters fighting is to turn on manual bolting, it'll let you bayonet faster.
Ahh the Italian Front that historians treat like it never existed.
F for the losses of White Friday
*American historians. The British and Australians remember it very well

4:20 that screaming was so realstic
Finally, the 13th battle of Isonzo
isonzo has to be some of the best bolt action fighting ive ever played totally didn't put like 40 something hours into it in a week
Having tons of fun on this game, its also nice to have devs that care unlike HLL

Who doesn’t love izonzo?

That supposed to be Beyond The Wire ;_;
Luigi Cadorna will be proud
I need this on stream!!!
I love this game!
Love you video
How populated are the servers online? I heard its pretty dead so I ended up passing on this game but it looks pretty fun.
I played NA evenings and had no issues finding full games of real people for both the Offensive and Ascent game modes
@@MoiDawg sweet I am going to try it out thanks
@MoiDawg I had the opposite experience on ps5 it was always empty so I uninstalled it :(
It's not a big community, but Europe has 10+ fully populated servers at all times, as far as I've seen
and some times the germens
Bro died for an exaggerated amount of time 4:23 😂😂
a lot of times death occurs like that, slowly
13.99usd meh why not
What game is this?
Did you watch the first 2 minutes? It's called Isonzo
You may be wondering why all of the weapons in this game sound like airsoft guns, and that's because they are. The developer went for realism. They believed rifles sounded like air guns and they nailed it!
Because real rifles sound like airsoft rifles but MUCH louder?
this game is giving me some rising storm vibes
lol he ends the video before the final sector, how disappointing.

"..more than 10 DLC's" was enought for me to stop watching the video.

Your loss ig, it’s a small indie team they need to make money, no ones putting a gun to your head to make you buy the cosmetics

It's already owned by OWI
@@AlbertVonB excellent. That's half the battle won then
Beyond the wire Is trash
Beyond The Wire Better
this game was terrible when it came out
Battlefield copy
For that it would have to be awful. Just like the recent Battlefields.
Battlefield Is completely historically inaccurate, and it's not a copy
It literally couldn’t be anymore different than Battlefield 1, and I love Battlefield 1
Pft uploaded 12 minutes and only 30 likes do better people 😂
