- I was supposed to upload this like last week but RUclips had complications..
Anyways, thanks to the person who suggested me this? C:
I posted on my Community tab what my next video should be and you guys voted for the No Woofing Challenge. Sometimes when I can't decide what to film next, I will ask you guys what I should do.
The No Woofing Challenge is something I've heard of, but have never personally tried myself. In singleplayer it's not as hard as it seems like, but multiplayer I know would be a different story.
I could've stayed at the den, yes I know, but eh I sort of count woofing the pups into the den to go hunting as cheating. So that's why I decided to go denless, so I could bring pups with me to find food.
Majority of the food I could actually find was hares, I never found any elk herds. I guess the Hinterlands is not a good place to find elk herds.
Enough hares spawned so I could actually feed the pups, but I had a hard time feeding Novalie since I couldn't find anything to bring down. Mule deers sure, but the pups probably can't keep up with those types of prey lol.
I might debate doing a multiplayer version of the No Woofing Challenge, but we'll see. :)
I highly recommend to rush at a predator when you first notice it, especially if you see it before the alert comes up. They will be scared off pretty easily, at least when I used to do that :)
So basically your playing the role of a mute wolf that's trying to raise pups. I gonna give this a try.
Is it just me that has a WolfQuest routine?

Not me. In short, I usually go by the pups needs or the territories needs first.
If anyone wants to read my more detailed version of what I do, then I'll write it down below...
So usually when I'm doing territory quest I'll claim at least a good one hex buffer at first surrounding a den that I picked. After that when the pups first emerge from the den I'll feed them and go find food to hunt. If I have some territory to re-mark then I'll probably send my mate to feed the pups instead or I'll deal with it after I feed the pups. If I have time to claim some more territory then I'll probably do that and send my mate to feed the pups. Usually after 2 or 3 Wolfquest days is either based around the pups needs or the territories needs. Like, if the pups are hungry and there's only a few hexes at 40% I'll attend to the pups first. But if there is more weak territory then I will attend to the territory first and I'll either feed my mate and send them home or I'll just deal with the pups later.
So I guess my schedule is:
Pups
Hunt
Sleep
Territory
Pups/territory
Sleep
Pups/territory
Hunt
Sleep...
And so on!
I am kinda surprised that the pups only died of sickness and also no bear attacks!
6:01 rip he was a brave pup the only male pup 😢😭 also makes sense that Wii disc got sick next since they touched the dead body 7:49 nooo 10:44 not talkis
I just found out this game is even still a thing a few days ago and have been playing it religiously ever since. Love the video, also I was so worried a bear or something would attack the den while I was gone, so thank you for saying nothing can happen to them while I’m gone (in terms of predators anyways), that relieved a lot of my worries
As a Wolfquest professional I would suggest the following: If it’s a bear, cougar, one wolf or coyotes just charge and don’t stop biting… If it’s 2 or more wolves or multiple targets have the puppies be near you and either let your mate deal with the predators or bite them only when they are close. If it is an eagle keep the puppies in one area and pick up, hold the puppy that is running away and just hover above the pups.
That’s enough tips from me.
Wolfquest pro out! ✌✌✌
Nooo, I loved Scratched Wii Disk! 😭 At least Washing Machine made it. :') This was perfect to watch while feeling sick. You did a good job with this challenge! ❤
Hope you feel better soon! ❤️
@@Kayuai Thank you!
What about a completely mute challenge? Perhaps a wolf got hurt during a fight and their vocal cords were damaged bad enough that they couldn't make any sounds. No howling, squeaking, woofing or anything. I might try this sometime 😂
I have begun this challenge btw, it seems difficult to raise affinity with a prospective mate without howling, but it's doable! Territory quest isn't bad, and I'm about to start pups. Doing this at Hellroaring Mountain, which I hiked irl 3 days ago! I live near Yellowstone, I've also hiked and stayed the night in Slough Creek which seems to be the spawn point of all mosquitoes, but it is the most beautiful hike in the park in my opinion
nice work again kayuai! C:
Do a one pup and no mate and no den challenge :) also keep up the good work! (not forcing and just a suggestion)
I LOVE THIS VIDEO, i keep watching this and im trying it out.
I have a challenge!
What if you disbanded every pack? What would happen then???
New pack takes after time the spot, packs can rarely disband on their own.
The fact that no pups died from predators is insane! If I did this challenge I would probably end up with only one pup 💀 Btw are you still taking some challenges?
Yep! I'm still taking challenges!
@@KayuaiOo nice! I had a challenge in mind for you to do if you’d like. It’s the kinda the other challenge that you did a month ago but this time you let your mate do EVERYTHING, you have to let them mark territory, hunt and feed the pups, chase off predators (Hide in the den with the pups or just stand off to the side and lead the predator to your mate if it comes for you) all alone. The only thing you are allowed to do is to babysit the pups, that’s it.
Though if that challenge seems too impossible then you can just do your mate being the only one to chase off predators!
Okay! I'll make an attempt at this in the future! Thanks. :D
This looks like a super fun challenge! I'll try it on my own, it'll be harder though because I'm stubborn and I don't want to give up beauty (grass density) 😔
Yeah fr( if I had grass density)
Some mates will wolf for you
let’s go kayuai upload
Thats hard! gongrats
The sickness feature doesn’t seem realistic even for real life terms. I once had a litter that every wolf pup that got sick died even though at least two wolf quest days I’d go from fully rested all the way to exhausted and sleep once then do it again. Sick wolf pups have a mortality rate of around 30-40% in real life so it doesn’t make sense
Well, survival still depends on diversity and how bad the sickness is. In the wild it's a very cruel and hard place to live in. A lot of pups do end up dying from sickness or even starvation sometimes. In Yellowstone it doesn't happen as much because of the abundance of prey, but it still does happen in Yellowstone. So maybe it seems unrealistic, it actually is pretty realistic. And 30-40% isn't a lot of surviving pups as it might seem to be.
These challenge runs are so entertaining to watch :3
not sure if you did this : but what if you do a no marking challenge? you are allowed to have less than 10% territory strength, but you cannot go past 10.
I could never do this with a big litter due to eagles but I’m still somewhat of a novice to Wolfquest AE
dont forget about my challenge too!
I won't forget. :)
@@Kayuai :D
9:48 on accurate you and your mate do a lot of damage
3:51 sadly yes they do.. found out the hard way
I got a challange for u try to raise pups without a mate and can’t pee when marking ter only howling
Actually sleep depriving doesn't affect the pups odds at recovering.
It just only seems like it because whenever we sleep the pups health does go down faster because whenever we sleep(even irl) time just seems to move by more faster than it actually is. And staying near the pup thats sick still doesn't increase its odds, it just helps the sickness not go down as quickly. I usually don't sleep deprive myself unless I have some territory to do but want to spend time with the sick pup so Ill sleep deprive and once my energy is gone Ill attend the territory.
Also, at 10:10 I read "Lost River" as Root beet 😭
Uhm it does help
4:15 How did you make "Q" your woof? Did you just change the key for one of the emote hotkeys?
Yeah. I changed the hotkey to be Q.
My squeak is 2, I just prefer having those emotes close by the W key so I can react faster to pup predators in regular games lol.
@@Kayuai Makes sense. That's a good idea I might use that, thanks for the response :)
which soundtrack is this?
The community is so bored with this repetitive game they go out of their way to entertain themselves
the game isn't repetitive if you don't wait for new things to be handed to you
@@Crev_ce3 I work in game development and any game designer will call it repetitive and lackluster. Sorry, there are facts and just because you are fan boy it changes nothing.
@@chaoticevil4038I mean the game still in development but, it's also a 𝙻𝚒𝚏𝚎 𝚂𝚒𝚖𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚘𝚛 game. Scientifically based on real wolves. Wolf life is a bit repetitive just like in any life. There are though varying odds in game and it's not always the same. Yes you have your main objective of point A to point B, but that's where you get your incentives and creative abilities going. We as people prosonify the wolves we play as and we make stories. It's not that the community is bored most of us are fairly content with what's been provided so far, and have the creative liberties to do as we wish. It's not just "Living the life as a wolf" it's also potential story building and well, challenges.
Almost every game has it's fandom challenges.
Multiplayer is a thing too so of someone is a bored of single player then whooptydo, you have people to talk with and you can play with friends.
The game isn't bad, everyone has their play styles and it's not everyone's cup of tea.
Mostly everyone here is present to just have fun and gain ideas and be in a community.
If it's lackluster to you then move on to something that isn't lackluster to you.
Just a fruit for thought friend.
@@chaoticevil4038 If you think wolfquest is lackluster than you probably think minecraft is the worst game out there (honestly its not that good but fun enough ig). Not any game designer. It's made for the kind of people with patients and imagination. You dont gotta be a hater. And this challenge is for views, not boredom.
