Even our kids have a weird sense of nostalgia for a time that they didn't experience at all, it's like we're passing it onto them with media (retro games, Stranger Things, etc).

The 'real' future we're living in now is very dismal Halium, and has a lot more in common with some of the worst aspects of the 19th century just under the surface illusion of modern technology, unfortunately. The 80's were absolutely the best. I'm so happy I was born at the time I was to go through the 80's in school!! We had the best of everything. I remember jumping Van Halen's PANAMA! And the computer era had really just started... it was the best of times indeed.
