Love it that you use the rear brake. I used it from time to time to tighten corners. Would really like to hear you discuss rear brake. How and when do you apply it?
I use it every chance I get as long as my boot can reach it. If I had a left hand reae brake setup I would use it every corner entry, mid corner and corner exit!

i dont know if you know, but there is a racebase version of the s1000rr k67 (2024) which costs 19600 EUR so a bit more in Dollars + there will be another discount cause next year those bikes arent allowed anymore in EUROPE
@@Sporadic_r1 the base S1000RR model with stock suspension and wheels. Yes I have looked at the dealer pricing. Cheers 🍻
@@irnieracing not a bad option...SPV2 Suspension is around 3000, RS2E Electronics is 1200 EUR, brake Calipers from the current BMW, Exhaust System from Dominator 1400 EUR and I would say you are good to go

BMW or cbr is my vote
@@wattleyracing I'd love to see him champion the Yamaha R1M, especially at that track with its twisty nature. He would "probably" get better change of direction and corner exit with the R1M, but give up some straight line acceleration. The learning curve on a new bike could be an issue too.
@@jryer1 i don’t know, the BMW’s are pretty solid all around bikes. Every bike on the grid is a lot newer than his and he’s still usually on the podium. But at the same time, I don’t think it matters what bike you ride, it’s the skill and confidence that makes the difference. Remember, fully built high dollar super bikes with the best riders in NA are only about 5secs faster than these guys..
@@jryer1 although I don’t see him making a switch to a v4 platform, that would be really interesting. But being that the familiarity is there with BMW, that’s my vote
@@wattleyracing The R1 isn't a v4, it's an inline 4 with a crossplane crankshaft..

I would not call that missing the chicane ! He over shot the first part of it and gave up the position 😢
The rule is the rule. I'd be okay with changing the rule, but until then we all follow the same race rules.
That is absolutely missing the chicane. The worst thing you can do when blowing the chicane is trying to just jump back in at Chicane 2.
@@sameyeham gotta treat it like any other corner where you end up in the grass. That's the whole idea regarding the rule I'd guess.
@@irnieracing when we run the chicane at Portland, we are pretty strict about staying out of the chicane if you blow it. It's amazing how many people try to just jump back into traffic after blowing a corner. Don't ask me how I know...
A chicane is a 3 corner combination! He still turned 3 times.
