Do you think Roco Kingdom has a future shot at a Top 5 position in the monster taming genre?
yes
If they change the pokeball and have a unique story
@@johnclarke343 The Pokeball is call. I love games like this because the better they get the more pressure on Gamefreak to do better as well. And I doubt anyone will be unhappy with better Pokemon games.
@@TheOFCMedia well is better than pokemon
The most underappreciated RUclipsr. I'm serious
Thank you for the kind words
Well, I saw some Chinese vloggers were chosen to test this game and live streamed it. Maybe it will be released in 2025... It only has a mobile vison now, but it will have a computer vison, since the company tested its game by computer.
A 2025 release would be great. I just hope that the game isn't only focused on in-app purchases.
@@TheOFCMedia Many Chinese players are also worried about in-app purchases. But I haven't seen these in this open beta. At least, we don't need to pay to catch and raise Pokemons. And we don't need to pay to use magic(players can use magic to teleport, create wind fields, and stun Pokémons. I just know these, maybe they can use magic to do more things). I heard that some paid features(players may have to pay to purchase some special player skins and Pokémon skins) are not included in this open beta. Besides, players' houses and farms are not included as well.
Hey, I am actually trying to also build my 3d monster taming game, now I have new competition...
There are other 3D monster taming games coming too. I've got a playlist on my channel for 3D monster taming games.
apparently, it's rebranded as "roco kingdom: world", but this is not confirmed yet
it will be published by morefun studios for the global audience
while the game is free to play and it's possible for players to interact and capture elves (the equivalent of pokemon) in the wild, there could be some form of monetization to continue supporting the game's live service structure
there's going to be some news next month, plus they have already acquired license to distribute the game, which means the game is close to release (less than 6 months of wait!)
Awesome
Are there news about launch timing? Thanks for the info btw
I'm reading online that the estimation is between 2025 and 2026
they have acquired license for the game, so it could release within the next 6 months
I'm Chinese. We should can play this game next year because it has got the game version number.
ANY chance it’s localized for the west though? 👀
I'm not sure, but I'm hopeful since this new installment seems to be a much bigger deal than the previous games.
most likely
they put out an announcement through morefun studios, so they could be the publisher of the game in the global market
They didn’t drop this?
The game is not released yet. Expect 2025-2026
Gotta love that outro! 🔥👌
Thanks, I used to love watching dragonballz
I hope Pokémon become friends with them
RUclips animators can make that possible
I like what am seeing much better 3d style
I like that the visuals are competitive.
Kinda sad considering this won't run on deck most of the games from China are blocked thanks to the anti cheat stuff like genshin and honkai star rail
I think it is expected to have a mobile version
The second you said free to play my excitement plummeted
I completely understand. Free to Play games tend to find a way to ruin themselves.
Underrated RUclips channel
Thank you. Please let more people know about this channel.
Seems like a genshin impact style game
So high chances it's gacha
I think so too

Great video, as always. The production details on the game look awesome. My only concern is that the business model or rather, how it may be executed: free-to-play games can very easily become pay-to-win if not enough care is put into the design and how it relates to the business model.
Yes, I understand. I've seen that happen way too often. I won't be surprised if the game ends up being pay to win. There has not been a confirmation on an English release yet. I think it will depend on the success of launch.
So they make this game because they don't want play a game from japan?
I think it's so they own their own IP similar to Pokemon
Looks good
I'm very impressed with everything I've seen so far
wow,it looks so good, the animations, creature design and world are top.
Yes, I love it when game studios do what The Pokémon Company should have already done.
I'm not saying this to be offensive in any way including to add any more blame or boycotting to China for making rip-offs of anything. Similar to how Roco Kingdom is a Chinese equivalent to Pokémon, Zinba which is a Chinese equivalent to Bakugan. Despite similarities between either one, even there are differences, and I enjoyed watching 15 episodes for the anime TV series adaptation for Zinba.
I don't think Chinese game studios care when people notice how similar their games are to famous games. Lack of creativity has become a negative stereotype associated with the content that comes from there.
@@TheOFCMedia Anyone can be creative to take inspiration while still being original and there doesn't have to be negative reputations when it comes to more than one fictional work made in a specific location like a country such as Italy. Luca may be made by an Italian creator working for an American studio such as Pixar, but the movie takes place in Italy and incorporates Italian culture in it, so I'm still considering it an Italian work in a way for a point I'm trying to bring. The point is both Luca and Winx Club are Italian works that have inspiration from anime, but they are not Japanese animated works which might be hard to believe in the case of Winx Club for its anime-like artstyles and how it was one of the TV shows to be broadcasted by 4Kids TV which was known for having a majority of their original programming being anime. Just wanted to mention this as extra information that Winx Club is more true to having Italy and Italian respectively being the country of original and original language despite America and English respectively being the country of origin and original language when it comes to all of the TV specials and seasons five through seven. Thank you for understanding and I'm glad that you're doing fine.
Pokémon but more gambling
Lol 😆
they are ready to sh** thw pokemon😂😂😂
Definitely looks like an open challenge to the Pokemon Company
😮
Awesome!
Glad I could share the news
I was excited until you said free to play. I don't like ads or microtransactions stuffed in my games.
Completely understandable. I was also disappointed to here that.
Free to play usually means pay to win.
Or ads.
I would rather pay $100 for a great creature capture game.
Looks cool though.
I rather pay up front for a quality game too. Free to play games tend to design the game to pressure players to constantly spend.
This game Beta test is closed in 2024.9.17.
People are waiting to see if it is going to open internationally.
They even copied the pokeballs 😢
That is what shocked me the most.
