I have been thinking about doing the same thing. Lot of people do not know how easy rabbit manure is to use. You can just broadcast it by hand on a garden area and not worry about burning any plants. Also you know what is in it because you know what you feed your rabbits. It also makes a great material for worm bins. To make worm castings. That is the real gold . If you ever bought any you know what I mean.. Safe fertilizer in the future for organic gardening is going to just be out of reach for most people.. Raising rabbits and baby chickens is just plain old fun .
LOL! Oh my word I am going to have fun watching your channel. I save my rabbit marbles also here in Maine. If you look at the top of my rabbit cages, you will see 24x24 rabbit trays and they have rabbit poo in them drying. Each morning after I feed and water, I give each pan a shake and when they are dry, they go into a grain bag for a buyer in the spring, or to top dress my garden during the planting season. Blessings.
Just subscribed to your channel. I have rabbits, and was looking for a way to separate poop from their bedding because I have ppl wanting to buy the poop.
@@dorrellcreekfarm I have hardware cloth like that, that has been outside in the elements for five years and never rusted out. I bet you're still using the same stuff two years later :)
The scrap hardware cloth is good for baby saver wire to reduce the hold sizes along the lower edges of the rabbit cages. I just zip tie it (or wire twist with that wire from the hardware cloth) on when there are kits in the cage with their momma,
Eh I’m never sure of anything I do :) I still find room for improvement (aka future shorter videos) on this one :) I tend to get sidetracked with safety glasses- have to buy a bunch of them to avoid losing them, and have them spread out so one is always nearby. Thank you for the kind words!
You’re probably never gonna find this question but I have two inside bunnies and their litter boxes consist of hay that they’ve pulled out and nibbled on and left lots of poop and some recycled newspaper litter which kind of just dissolves I have a city garbage can filled to the brim with some additions of banana skins and orange skin etc. I was going to pour this in the back and turn it around a couple times and add it to this pile that’s kind of once was going to be my compost bin but it kind of got taken over by weeds is there any problem with the paper litter because I can’t really sift it out at all
Please lord, reconsider how you're housing these poor rabbits. Those cages are so uncomfortable and they can't run, which they're supposed to be doing most of the time. They're great pets and you can still use their poo as fertilizer as they're very easily litter trained. 🐰🐇
Great video, I'll have to get Nate to build me one of these. Did you ever imagine doing a video on how to make a rabbit poo dryer😂
Before the last few weeks? Nope. Never in my life did I think I’d make a 20 minute video on such a topic , #lifegoals thank you for stopping by!

Personally I love that you're taking even the smallest piece of scrap and using it. As long as it's functional who cares.
100%
Oh wow, never even knew that. Things you learn, Gardeners Gold! Nice information. 👍👍
Thank you.

Thank you for the advice. I did notice your poop bins under each cage, I’d like to try that too- it would save quite a few steps!
I’m definitely intrigued! New friend to your channel + looking forward to more content! 😃😂
Thank you for stopping by.
"I know this RUclips gold" The rabbit squeezins is a gold mine! Never new it. 😊
A lot of people don’t believe me, but I already have customers lined up :)
New subscriber thank you for sharing with us in your community. And we'll shall see you , in your next video-Remy

I love the thumbnail It is damn funny XD
Cool video just joined your circle
Thank you, I’m thinking of calling the circle “farmer army” or Farmy :)
😂😂 I’m going to love your channel. I might have even taken it a step further with an edit/blueberry swap in, popped in and chewed, lol. Fun video! 💚
Oh that’s an awesome idea! That may just happen in the much shorter follow up video!
Normally about 8 weeks I'm looking at them for fryers. When they start eating solid food they're weaned or close enough to it to be weaned
Exactly, it's not a cabinet for your kitchen, it's a poop rack. Use scrap material and just cobble it together however.
Just subscribed to your channel. I have rabbits, and was looking for a way to separate poop from their bedding because I have ppl wanting to buy the poop.
subscribed back :)
The hardware cloth will last longer. Especially if your rack is going to be in the sun. Great video
That’s what I’m leaning towards as well, so far haven’t even used the plastic side.

Who knew there is money in Rabbit poo? The Rack came out good.
Thank you 😊 I’m already seeing room for improvement and future video content :)

😆 Are you sure?? You looked undecided. "Best practices... Don't try this at home." Great personality ~ ♡

Sooo cute! We are thinking of getting bunnies too!
They're my favorite animal on my farm.
I’ve heard of metal cloth coated with PVC so that could be best of both worlds. Another channel used it for cage bottoms for the rabbits themselves.
Good video, You never commented or showed application.
Nice video. Supporting each other here. Keep it up

It'll composte eventually, should be good

🐇🐇🐇
Don’t be too hard on yourself. Looks good. Very creative. Perfection is not the point
Rabbits poop gold😂 it's true though 😁
💯
@@dorrellcreekfarm i have zero intention of building this contraption however i am easily entertained and you are hilarious 😂
@@MinnieAcresFarm I’m glad you find my humor through my monotone voice 😃
What did you show in this video? How you putting hardware cloths on wooden frame? That was waste of time,to watch it!
That took forever
They also make and i have used vinyl coated metal fencing
Didn't have much detail about the build
Drying rabbit poo on a rack? Too much work. I do frombutt to garden every day
