I get the humor and I'm not trying to pick on you but in all fairness, I could see why Dire would use Survival over creative, mainly due to the UI. I hate creative mode UI. It's clunky and hard to find what you need. JEI is so much better and easier. Not to mention he plays Survival and not creative so he's more used to it. So that means he does need a pick/axe/wrench to break things since it's not creative mode. The sword is a fair point though.
Definitely take note that since this is capable of doing so much and taking in so much information, it gets very laggy if you try to use it as a general purpose transport solution. This mod is definitely meant for specific, smaller uses.

Using this to fortune the springaline crystals from Elementalcraft with a create deployer. Thank you very much for the explaination. I did it a bit too complicated at first, by comparing the names, because I hadn't watched far enough to learn about the Materializer, but that also worked. Really interesting what you can all do with this.
"Pay no attention to the bacon." LOL Dire has absolutely no qualms whatsoever about slaughtering an animal on camera if he's hungry in his singleplayer series, yet he chooses not to harm the pigs on camera in a spotlight! Double standards for the win! :D
Finally! Kroeser's logistics masterpiece finally got that Direwolf20 spotlight I've been hinting at! Kroeser got tired of waiting for certain other mods to update so he made his own. Kroeser tends to be faster with updating his mods than most modders so expect to see them frequently in "frontier" packs. #logisticsinminecraft

To be honest, that was a great spotlight. As always such a well balanced viewer experience based on learning, seeing the potential, taking the mod to the point in a compact way while providing all necessary information to experiment yourself and last but not least your own humor :D If you read this, I would be happy to see a lot integrated dynamics stuff in your AoE series! While having played a reasonable lot with it, seeing this mod in some great but maybe in more little ways would be really fun. Like - having (every) door leading outside open for you - lightning turning on at night - placing soundmufflers on the roof when it rains - controlling your nuclear reactor with it, for overheating and filling (like your usual quad - dual - quad - dual setup automated) - redstone controlling your different generators to run at different energy fills - having one door saying "take it easy" every time you walk through it - making an alarm when a particular recource is low (like iron,... I think we would hear that a lot then) - ... While having all those ideas, making all those setups will take probably a lot of time therefore a lot of episodes. But I don't think everyone wants to see all the time almost-programming you. So yea, a little setup once every few episodes woud be great, while only seeing some crucial parts you yourself might be think they are. Then again I don't know if most of the viewers would like it, but it's just a suggestion. Also that would be a big challenge for you to cover everything up, but you know the best, direwire ;)
jonny h. Well first it avoids going to fetch your variables in the Chest each time you want to use them in other functions. You keep proxies in a pouch or something, and you can use them in the Logic Editor (or whatsitsname) Then again, if the Editor had an access to the Variable Vault, then things would be waaay better and there would be absolutely no need for proxies, since except for the materializer and proxymaker no machines keep hold of the actual variable items (except if I'm wrong here)
I cannot help but think that this is Steve's Factory Manager with more logic options but less on-board world interaction and without a clean programming UI. Cool but kind of convoluted..
Finally someone did a good spotlight on this mod.. Thank you.. it looked like it has so much potential but I don't think it had the book when I tried it and I was a bit lost.. can't wait to try again..
This was very helpful to me. Thank you for this. I feel like the book kinda glossed over a lot of major stuff, when it's supposed to be an actual tutorial. It needs a beginner (noob) level tutorial, where cases like the ones you show should be taught.
And if you have multiple readers, looking for multiple specific variables about an entity, you can create a very difficult to fool security door system. For example, if you look for ‘is entity player’ and ‘is entity named Direwolf20’, you can use an AND gate to output a signal for the door to open. But you can use the same signals to determine if a player other than Direwolf20 is standing there, and use another logic gate that goes: ‘if entity is player, and entity IS NOT named Direwolf20, then output signal’ which can go to something like an atomic reconstructor with a lens of certain death, which would fire down a corridor the you need to stand in, to open the door. Or, instead of controlling a door, it could control a turret system, or a Tesla Coil. Also, you can create a short white list, by, instead of asking for one name, you could as for a bunch of names, and feed the results to an array of OR gates, and finally feed that result to the AND gate, that combines that with the ‘is entity player’, to open the door.
Honestly, I would have it check entity name, and if it happens to be named Direwolf20... and is not a player, it gets death lasered. Way to tell the player "Nice try dummy."
This mod is just simply unbelievable! I LOVE IT! Love the idea, the GUI, the logic... Thank you for this detailed (but still kind-of-quick :)) tutorial! I really appreciate it.
That was a really well done spotlight I thought. Clear, entertaining & easy to watch, just the right amount of detail and mix of theory and practical example, well done & thanks man! Only one complaint, my burst eardrums from the intro :) "HELLO EVERYBODY! welcome..."
'pay no attention to the bacon' sounds like our local inner-city farm where the kids do not realise the pigs they are feeding at the end of the long vacation are not the same as they were feeding at the beginning, which are now probably sausages in the farm shop!
Is it only me who saw a potential use of the delayer as a way of keeping the door opened long enough as a more reliable way? I think it showcases better the delayer and it is more reliable as the frequency has the same chance to be closed half a second later that closing the next tick after leaving the reader
So useful! I've always needed a complex logic mod to tell me what that I was looking at an oak wood plank and that the cow I'm about to kill for food has full health! I dont understand these mods deep enough to find a use for them, lol. Like.....ok this block reader can tell me what block is sitting in front of it.....I can just pick it up and find out. Or just look at it. I'm too much of a simpleton! But good spotlight, as always!
@@fatemonkey incredibly huge and slow ones. This mod is already kinda a programming language so i wouldn't call it a computer exactly but it seems like a nice halfway point between just having a lua terminal and the huge vanilla minecraft computers.
I have a pretty strong background in programming, but for some reason putting a gui to this stuff makes it harder for me to understand. I feel like trying to debug one of these setups would be a nightmare, compared to just looking at it all in plain text...
ComputerCraft can do complex logic more easily. Recursion, functions, tables, loops, cooperative multithreading (with a little work), etc., plus it's an actual programming language with coherent, readable, quickly writable syntax. I'm sure you *can* do anything you can do with CC in this, but it would be far more conceptually complex and take a lot of work to put together.
really need some follow up on how you could potentially actually USE the delayer in coding up some things as opposed to just displaying things in a viewer. This info, and good examples of usage are sorely lacking on the interwebs at the present time

Very nice spotlight and cool mod. I followed the tutorial book and had fun with the mod, but in Sky Factory 3, display panel causes lag when showing list of blocks from a chest, and there is one bugged achievement that cannot complete in the Integrated Tunnels part. I'm concerned the mod will get updated just for 1.12 so any bug found in Sky Factory 3 or Age of ENgineering will be a bummer requiring workarounds. But definitely worth exploring anyway. Really requires getting hands dirty and a try to fully understand the mod.
Is there a way to disable the redstone writers without removing the variable cards? Like a switch on/off type deal? I am fairly new to this mod and can't figure it out.
So i would like to use the dropper for Items such as coal and aquamarine. They are not blocks how do i do that. I tried using the inventory and name the item but must of missed a step.
good video, the ability to control how long the redstone pulse last piqued my interest. however, it's sad that the redstone writer doesn't let you do things like decide if you're strongly or weakly powering a block.
Thank you for explaining it im on enigmatica 6 and was wondering about this mod. Doesent seem that mega useful for the hassle compared to the other mods in the pack but i want to learn them all regardless!
White Tiger Gaming , I will try later today but I seriously doubt it. Although I wonder if you can get an animal or mob to jump up and down on it? Oh like a slime. That would be legit
White Tiger Gaming what you could do is automate the farming of menril trees. Crystallised menril logs (I think that's what it's called, but it's the log that's got something in front of its name) drop shards
In the Age of Engineering modpack you can use a forestry squeezer to automate it. Otherwise the only way to automate it is to have the squeezer deep under ground with a pillar to the sky and get mobs to fall into it. The farther the mobs fall the faster it squeezes. So it can squeeze in one hit if they fall far enough. This could be automated with a spawner. I made a pretty good set up using this method. I tried to get slimes to jump up and down on it and that works but as soon as you reset the squeezer the slimes end up stuck inside it and can no longer jump on top of it so its not automatable. If you could find an automated way to move the slime back above the squeezer then it could work but im not sure how to do that. Maybe a cursed lasso inside of a mechanical user could do it but ive not tested that yet. If you do use the slimes though you also must use chisel and bits to build up the four pillars of the squeezer otherwise the slimes will jump up and down on the corners instead of the middle. The bits should be 3x3 at the base and at least a block high though I did two.
Earlier today I was automating the atomic reconstructor, and I wanted to make it shoot the beam 5 seconds after an entity was dropped on it, with the mods I was using, I didn't have the ability to make that happen in a compact build, with this mod however, it seems very possible. Similarly with the tier 3 canola, i'm thinking about how that would be done, hope to have a video up of it soon.
Triobian, suggestion: I'd use the Delayer to create a history of your "entityThere" variable, say at 1s intervals. Then if the 5th element of that list (using GET) is true then it means the entity was there 5 s ago.
whats the name of the mod that he uses to see all the items from that mod, where he is in his inventory and it shows it on the right side? Some one plz help.
Raj Gupta, The mod is name Just Enough Items. It is often shortened to the acronym JEI. JEI is related to another mod called Not Enough Items (NEI), which look and act very similar. I have to most the personal experience using JEI, so I can confidently say it is good. JEI and NEI both let you search for items, and see the recipes for those items (if there is one), what the items can be used for, and often times, will show other ways to get items, like if you want charcoal, it would tell you some things that produce charcoal, like ‘smelting’ wood in a furnace, or putting 8 “tiny charcoal” in a crafting grid in a specific arrangement. In the video, Direwolf20 is in creative mode, and so, he can turn the cheat mode on for JEI, which lets him directly give himself items from the side-panel that shows the result of item searches. If he wasn't in creative mode, he would be able to give himself items, and JEI would work like normal, to show recipes and some information about items. Although, really, I think that an admin could technically give a player a special permission on a server, which would let them use the cheat mode for JEI even in survival mode. But that's not really used often, I think.
I just want to know how to use it as a simple redstone cable. I need 6 machines to respond to one lever for on off purposes. But all i get is long and complicated super cool stuff for people who get all that but i don't xD.
MrCeter he literally said it right at the start of the video. Redstone reader on your lever, stick empty variable card in and save the reader ID to the card. Redstone writer on your machine, stick the saved variable card on the writer If you need more than a single writer to be affected by the same lever, use the proxy block to copy your variable card several times. The original has to stay inside the proxy block for the copies to work.
Can you do a review on the lonely biome mod? No one seemed to review it yet, and it looks really cool. You can pick the one biome you want to adventure in, and that's it. But not only does it do that, you can make your choice be hell and basically your spawn becomes hell. I'd really love to see that in a review. Thanks. :)

I cant belive this guy is not called coolguy20
This mod could make botania alot more automated
Thank you for explaining it im on enigmatica 6 and was wondering about this mod. Doesent seem that mega useful for the hassle compared to the other mods in the pack but i want to learn them all regardless!
coding 101, in world, as much as possible (pointers is like, the 1st thing you learn after how the santax works... and the santax is in world!)

Makes me wonder if there is a way to automate the squeezer? Jumping up and down will get old fast. >.
The bits should be 3x3 at the base and at least a block high though I did two.
maybe its because i have a new version, but i have the problem, the entity reader more then my name, it say "name (3284u2u42ad...)"
Hell yeah buddy this is the best
i wonder if thers for loops for the lists oO
How cool is that!
I just wanted to know how to export items from a machine and into a chest ;-;
soo... it's an object oriented coding system within a game originaly made with an object oriented coding system. neato!
Direwolf, should you add this mod into a future Let's Play series, I'd love to see you make a fully-functional Tier 3 canola powergen system.
FastTquick it's in AoE
Earlier today I was automating the atomic reconstructor, and I wanted to make it shoot the beam 5 seconds after an entity was dropped on it, with the mods I was using, I didn't have the ability to make that happen in a compact build, with this mod however, it seems very possible. Similarly with the tier 3 canola, i'm thinking about how that would be done, hope to have a video up of it soon.
Triobian, suggestion: I'd use the Delayer to create a history of your "entityThere" variable, say at 1s intervals. Then if the 5th element of that list (using GET) is true then it means the entity was there 5 s ago.
wait... how did I get here again?
All of my readers, redstone, inventory are disabled, how do I enable them, many thanks in advance
Richard Cole make sure your ID network has sufficient energy. The ID generator did not work for me, I had to feed rf into an ID battery.
Thanks a bunch
My head hurts, I just wanted to monitor and adjust a draconic reactor
Can you do Agricraft? I am so lost on irrigation.
I have been playing regrowth maybe its the whole railcraft tanks vrs. agricraft
regrowth doesnt really rain except on the ocean so i wasnt sure if it was the tanks not giving enough or the lack of a valve
whats the name of the mod that he uses to see all the items from that mod, where he is in his inventory and it shows it on the right side?
Mr Dire, The Wolf, could you make a spotlight on Deep Resonance? Im playing in AoE pack and I have no idea where to start cracking this mod
Manzana1C he already has one. Search for it.
check out his let's play for now
Could you redo this program using the test-driven development approach?
I have tried to play death sound of a player and it crashed :D
thanks,that helps a lot
I just want to know how to use it as a simple redstone cable. I need 6 machines to respond to one lever for on off purposes. But all i get is long and complicated super cool stuff for people who get all that but i don't xD.
MrCeter he literally said it right at the start of the video. Redstone reader on your lever, stick empty variable card in and save the reader ID to the card. Redstone writer on your machine, stick the saved variable card on the writer
If you need more than a single writer to be affected by the same lever, use the proxy block to copy your variable card several times. The original has to stay inside the proxy block for the copies to work.
Anyone else using up your anvils trying to keep track of your variables in a sane way?
Can you do a review on the lonely biome mod? No one seemed to review it yet, and it looks really cool. You can pick the one biome you want to adventure in, and that's it. But not only does it do that, you can make your choice be hell and basically your spawn becomes hell. I'd really love to see that in a review. Thanks. :)
pretty cool
i just whant to extract items from one inventory to another and im to dumb 4 it
I dont even know hot 2 do that btw
@@Djhakin Like a specific item? or just all items?
