After earning hearty laughs for many of his early jokes at the annual Al Smith dinner, Donald Trump appeared to lose the crowd as he crossed the line from jokes to deeply personal insults aimed at rival Hillary Clinton.
Trump was repeatedly booed when he described Clinton as corrupt and latched onto information contained in hacked emails from her staff. That included a hit on Clinton for "pretending" not to hate Catholics as she sits at a Catholic charity event.

This was funny stuff. But one undeniable fact is how bias the media truly has been against Trump and for Hillary. Probably the most disappointing part of this entire election imo.
I think if the media were owned by Hillary they'd be putting a more conspiratorial spin on the fact that her campaign's private emails have been stolen by a foreign country and made public, whereas Trump's have not. Unprecedented. A real proven conspiracy unlike Trump's imaginary unproven ones. Shoe on the other foot, Trump would be screaming and calling for blood.
Hmm...Well, if you are implying that I think the media is owned by Hillary, that is not what I meant. I am not into conspiracies, I simple call it as I see or hear it. And pretty much all of my feeds, from NPR news to ESPN to Tech news, they seem to always bring up the negatives of Trump and that Hillary is the only one fit to lead. Its a constant theme. To me, its just media heads that are inputting their own bias, and especially when it comes to the world of sports, I think its inappropriate.

But when he got serious by how offensive it was to have hillary sitting there at an even he cherished, he had no problem letting her know what was up. In case you do not know, hillary's anti-catholic remarks made the bishop she was sitting next to say that she should apologize to all Catholics. Trump is not afraid to say what needs to be said even if some journalists in the crowd want to heckle him.

This was one of the highlights of 2016. Trump is an alpha beast. The guy sitting to his left looked really uncomfortable through most of it.
I don't completely blame Trump for his very awkward disaster here. I blame his writers (you guys do know that neither Hillary nor Trump wrote a single joke). All of Trump's best jokes were at the beginning: the self-deprecating jokes of making fun of his own hands and comparing himself to Jesus followed by the pardon me Rosie O'Donnell, the Hillary not getting paid and Melania Trump. But, somewhere halfway, you could see the Trump team ran out of juice and calling Hillary "corrupt" at a neutral venue really swung the pendulum in disfavor of Trump. At least, he ended it about the kids-in-need but there was a good 6-7 mins of awkward unpleasantness that Trump use as more political propaganda / debate time and it really backfired.
