HVR-HD1000U - gain monitor

Have had a few people ask how to check or monitor what you gain is while shooting. Anyways this is the best that I can find. Hope it helps.

It would be much better to have the dB check while recording, not after the fact, no?

no the hd1000e is the european version

Yeah, I know, you can keep the exposure 2 or 3 "ticks" away from max, and you have zero gain. Nice.

oh hey and is this cam work on the new I mac and can plug a boom into it and does it work on final cut pro or I movie 8 or 6
