Honestly I think this game is a MASSIVE improvement compared to the first, like it's day and night. You can tell that the devs were trying to listen to feedback towards the first game and actually tried to improve, the models, animation, voice acting and even game play were actually pretty decent. Usually with mascot horror games like this they usually rush out the next chapter to keep the hype train running (*cough* Garten of BanBan *cough*) but I'm really glad that they took their time with this one and it shows. I really respect when devs actually listen to feedback and improve That being said you can definitely tell that Joyville is taking a lot of inspiration from Poppy Playtime (this one especially takes a lot of inspection from chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime with how you need to complete 3 minigames in order to continue while also trying not to get killed by the monsters of said minigames, heck Lumina is basically the Mommy LongLegs of Joyville) I don't wanna call Joyville a Poppy Playtime knockoff cause you can tell that there is a lot of effort put into it, but I couldn't help but notice just how similar they are and I do hope that the devs do try to do their own thing going forward

I love how much personality the enemies have and the fact you get both good and corrupted versions of them, it's really fun! I also love just how nonsensical the world has become. I think before we were a little skeptical it'd be like Poppy's level of lore with experiments but this seems like it's just straight up a different world of strange, nothing too disturbing, just pure wackiness. Really loved the environments too, the environments were my favorite part with the living blocks and patterns. Even if it's not that scary as an environmental game this chapter absolutely kicked ass, it's very good in that regard.

I wonder if JoyVilla is based on those fun zones in the 90’s. Before we end up realizing how dirty and dangerous ball pits are. That’s why I don’t see ballpits in any Chuck E. Cheese or Dave & Buster’s anymore. Even universal removed their ball pits but that might’ve been because kids were coming in from the splash zone and into the ball pit with wet clothes.
