Hi Robert I did see that video which to me that rendition is better than the electric version I'm hearing and plus it told a better story that fitted perfectly. Tyner simply was a pioneer of all the things surrounding the scene which by 72 the MC% were done but the years of 67-68 The MC5 were nearly at the height of being a band that was going to rule the rock scene. They just fell short.
What a show seeing "Brother Wayne" leap on stage Tyner dancing across the stage, Fred stoic banging out the riffs. Until Sinclair's indoctrination they were solid downtown Detroit hanging at Alvin's and the Decanter near Wayne. Fond memories, Saw Joplin at the Grande.
It's clear to me after watching and learning as much as I could about the MC5 and Rob Tyner it hurt for all that to end, they left the Grande standing so you could see your greatest days slowly die and be condemned, the videos are out there! RIP Rob Tyner, you'll never be forgotten!❤🤍💙

This is so much better than I thought I remembered it. Sure, a little cookie-cutter 80s metal, but it still hits hard - and it's Rob fkn Tyner!
Just learned MC5's last surviving member Machine Gun Thompson checked out at age 75...
Sounds of the time however Tyner is that good whatever the era...passionate and energetic
