Hey there - do you have a link to the strava somewhere? Trying to figure out your path back to the SART from serrano. I've never done the santiago creek trail because I thought it just dead ends at the discovery cube.
You are correct. It dead ends at the cube. Go south one block on Main St over the 5 and turn right on Santa Clara to Alona (about 1 mile) left on Alona to 19th and turn right. It’ll take you to the end of River View GC and the bridge over the river.
Reference to being in the city of "La Palma" is incorrect. At that point in the video you would be in the city of Anaheim. Do not recommend taking the SART to Weir Canyon in your approach to Serrano since the bridge and 91 Fwy underpass there are more intimidating than the Lakeview/Santa Ana Canyon approach. If you want a quieter approach to the top of Serrano from the north, consider bypassing most of the Serrano climb by using Sunset Ridge (from the base of Serrano, turn right on Canyon Creek Rd, left on Sunset Ridge, right on The Highlands, left on Highcrest, then right back onto Serrano at its peak).
Thanks for the advice. One time I went to Gypsum Canyon (too far) and back on Santa Ana Cyn eventually got to my destination. I assume there is less traffic on your route. Is the climb about the same?
@@wallacedavidg Yes, this alternate climb is all on quieter residential streets. Definitely the same elevation gained in the end. Not sure if all the same gradients are present, but definitely a good workout (in the 7 to 9% range).

Lookin' a little scruffy there! "It's better to look good than to feel good" Fernando's Hideaway. You look marvelous!
@@robertwallace4953 I’ve just given up. About two weeks of growth.
Whew... The incline @ 4:50 That takes some doin'! I salute you sir.
Strava says the steepest section is over 17%, I’m not buying it. Maybe 12-15 at most. It’s tough.
