I had arrhythmia’s during the week after each dose so had to take beta blockers for 6 months. 4 years later I haven’t had any further problems thankfully. I exercised all through my treatment and I am a runner. My resting heart rate went right up and took some time to come back down, and my fitness has never completely gone back to what it was but I’m thankful for how well I am following treatment.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Yerbba community. It sounds like you've been through quite a journey, and we're glad to hear that you're doing well following your treatment. Experiencing arrhythmias during chemotherapy can be concerning, but it's great that they were managed effectively with beta blockers and that you haven't had any further issues. Keep listening to your body and following up with your healthcare team as needed.
For ER/PR-positive and HER2-negative breast cancer, treatment typically involves many types of treatment. Depending on the stage of the tumor, the grade, and other factors, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, surgery, and radiation therapy are all options. Your team will talk through your options with you. For high grade lobular breast canceris anthraxycline chemotherapy needed.iM asking this because after 4 sessions of anthracycline the lump size reduced on clinical.evaluation but after masextomy there was noc change in size
It's not uncommon that a tumor will decrease in size when it's examined without a more impressive response under the microscope. Chemotherapy may help decrease the inflammation around the tumor, which makes it feel smaller. We don't know if treatment, regardless of the type of cancer, will respond to a given chemotherapy, including anthracyclines.
This was super helpful. Just had my surgery and have been referred to oncology. Had a successful ablation 7 years ago for svt but I’m worried about chemo and my heart. Now I know what to ask
We're glad you found this video helpful! It's understandable to have concerns about how chemotherapy might affect your heart, especially given your history with ablation. Thank you for watching.
Thank you for coming here to ask. We actually have a video on mucinous carcinoma that you may find helpful. ruclips.net/video/HLd7-C0DKio/видео.html Chemotherapy is rarely needed in people with mucinous carcinoma.
